This will be my 2nd grow but first time with photoperiods. I am interested in trying different grow techniques such as topping, fiming, and LST all together. Last grow I only used the Fox Farm trio and LST, now with more nutes and training stats I hope to see better yields.

I decided to start LST I know it is very early but I am being very careful and want to see if they can handle it. Can't wait to top these girls soon. I also fed them 3 ml of cal-mag just 1 time and probably not any time soon again since I am growing in soil. I have no clue why that 1 plant is still so small compared to the other 2.

Did I top correctly...its my first time. Hope they recover I want to try to top a few times. Little less that 1/4 open sesame. I dropped the lights down to 2 ft. UPDATE: 08-17-19 Bought silica blast (botanicare) because temperature difference between night and day is pretty big.....hot girl summer. Allows plants to withstand extreme temps and thicker stems and branches (takes up water and nutrients faster). I can wait to see if this is true and hope it makes my girls happy. UPDATE: 08-19-19 Bought and sprayed organocide to my plants. No insects but a preventative measure. 20 ml in 1/4 gallon of water. Strong fish oil smell and make sure to spray plants right before lights off in order to prevent burning leaves.

How many times should I top and how long between topping should I wait? By the way I also fed FF Grow big at 5ml/gallon.

Hi @GrowsGanjaGuy! How long can you wait until harvest? Each topping surgery will double the apical summits, but your plant will need a few days to recover and generate new nodes, so it's all about your patience, if you want 8 main colas you will need to top 4 times. Let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, and happy growing! 👊

This is the middle of week 5 and the plants have recovered well from the top. On one of the plants I missed my top (FIM) so now 3 tops are coming in, in one spot. Other than that lower growth is happy and healthy. I will try giving the smallest plant more nutrients this week and see what happens because its phenotype Is definitely smaller than the other two.

Beginning of week 6 and I decided the girls recovered enough so I topped them once more. After they recover from this top I think I will flip to flower. Once I flip they will be trained by a trellis net in a 5x5 grow room with 2 600w led lights. Each plant will now have 4 main tops and I hope they stretch some because they seem very short at the moment.

This week I have not fed any nutrients just ph balanced water and flushed at the beginning of the week since I am about to flip the plants once they recover from their 2nd top. The 3rd plant is still very small and deformed compared to these healthy girls but I will veg out longer and see what comes out of that small plant. I have my 2nd tent all set up and ready from when I flip them. (2 trellis nets, 2 600w LEDs fans filter dehumidifier etc...) the girls have been giving a slight scent of sweetness and I cant wait for buds to form to really bring out that smell. The 2 girls have been taking lst and topping very well with around 8-10 tops. I might try to clone them.

I decided to move them into the 5x5 room of flower. I tried to bend as many branches down through the net. I have 2 nets, 1 for early flower and another one for later in flower. I also decided to raise the light to help the plants stretch a little more so that I can get a wider spread for the 2nd net.

First full week of 12/12 light cycle and no pistils have shown. Because of this I finally moved the smaller mutated c99 into the tent and will turn off the lights for 24 hours. This apparently speeds up the process for the girls to switch into flower. So far I am very happy with the trellis net and how it opens up the canopy. I also planted 5 zkittles autos by fast buds make sure to follow that grow and let's see if this breeder is worth the hype.

These girls are doing great even the mutated one started to explode but had to move to flower room because of space issues in the veg. I'm considering lollipopping the 2 bigger girls but I just defoliated I will let them recover first before i even try that.

Overall these girls have been doing their own thing. I did lollipop all the plants only leaving about 2 or 3 top nodes per branch. First time doing this type of training, so hopefully I didnt do too much too fast but they seem to be moving on just fine. Smell is coming on just fine very sweet cant wait.

Honestly I'm pretty disappointed in my self. I've seen other growers run these genetics and get amazing results I just cant seem to do the same. I would have gotten higher yields If it wasnt for the damn thrips that stopped my girls from fully maturing their buds because I came out with 2 OZ of trim and popcorn nugs :(. Anyways hope you enjoyed because I sure will as it tastes very good and a good euphoric feeling with sedating effects after the come down.

Flowering has kicked in full force. Trichomes have started to form and the smell gets stronger day by day. I'm sure everyone that grows can relate to the flowering stage being the most fun. Seeing the buds get bigger and more frosty is a great experience. Go ahead and give me some advice I can use some. Thanks for taking a look at my diary hope you enjoyed.

The smell is great, very sweet. The buds get bigger and bigger which is what I like to see as the still should have about 3 or 4 more weeks. I will begin to use cha ching by FF. Hopefully this will make the scent even stronger than it is :)))). I fellow grower @Good_Bud is also running this strain and breeder go check out his grow as he seems to be doing better. 👍🏼

Man am I frustrated... thrips have invaded my grow. Well 1 girl is really messed up (in pictures) and they have tried to spread to my other plants but I have controlled the situation but still worried they may not yield alot because of the stress later on in flower :(((((. I never dealt with bugs in my grows but I guess I will have to practice better preventative measures than I already do. Either way i hope they recover and fully mature in time.

Alright I am not sure what to do. The breeder suggests 60 days in flower and she is ready for harvest. But because of the thrips infestation I had, 1 girl seems to be stunted. Should I just wait longer than 60 days and hopefully they recover and fully mature?

Happy Harvest, I havent seen that Question before, You may have to clean up your tent and envoirement before you start new. and i recommend you nematodes against thrips ( predators),,, those are working very good

Alright so I have now chopped down all the girls. 1 was chopped down a few days before the others. I'm not so excited about the yields because these thrips really messed me up. They were looking great then all hell broke loose. I know I'm not a great grower and I have alot to grow but I'd say this will yield me about 3 ounces of good bud. I hope I can keep my Mexican Haze grow healthy because they are looking great.

I've had good luck when I miss the topping and ended up with 3 mains of the top. Then other times the third node seems starved. In the later case I clip it off but if its growing good and fits the overall plan I would leave it be.

@Stick, except when that third or fourth shoot is really stunted after a few weeks. Then it has to go

@@lilbp420, this is called "FIM", it stands for "F*** I'VE MISSED" and is basically the result of a failed topping surgery. That's a good thing! 😎

Before you start new you have to get rid of those thrips.. othrwise your new grow has to suffer too... i fight thrips with nematodes.. works wonderful. the nematodes eat the larvae of the thrips... i let you alink for beeing prepared and for cleaning uphttps://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/thrips i have them in my outdoor area and they are just apain in the ass

The little runt I'd hold of topping just bend and twist the branches to where you want them to go she has been slow since day one but could bounce back , my Moby Dick was the tiniest and then it took off one day but every plant is different ..I've seen a lot of people grow this strain and they can do well with training just exercise patience your the one who has control wait and see..good luck ..
the end.
