I think I got some problems with this lady? Maybe over watering I was giving them 3 litres every 3-4 days now I’ve started to see change so I’m waiting a few more days before I feed again as soil looks still a bit wet under my toppers! Also maybe it was stress as I’ve had to bend and trim this baby as she stretched so much when I went 12/12
What could I improve?
I have upped nutrients I’m now making 10L feed as I am doing other plants which I will add a diary for in time! My biggest tackle has been the heat as it’s risen to 34c outside now In UK and I’m managing to keep a steady 29-30 in the tent! I Am using Co2
My honey cream stretched so much as you can see from the photos and I’ve had to take measures in order for the plant to get correct coverage as I can’t adjust between the 2??
You can bend the stems to the canopy level by using ropes. You can put you led in a different angle ( not horizontally) to correct the light distribution.
I would have done both. The 3rd solution is to do some HST and bend the stem until you can hear a "crack" but you are in early flowering so it's a bit late
Didn’t mean to select anything And @majormolasses I am using LED 1000w the lights amount is fine trust me! And my grow rate shows it your see when u upload week 4 the picture quality is down to a rubbish camera on my phone! Lol
@Majormolasses, wish don’t sell anything good lol that’s a hopeful site/app lol I don’t disclose but you’re welcome to follow progress! 😇😉 I also have a cream cookies 2 weeks from harvest only in a 7L but had to test it!
@STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO, oh okay I was just wondering looked dark. Well I ordered a 1000w led light of wish for 23$ that doesn’t mean anything lol I’m using a 205 watt LED that’s = 400 watt hps .... what kind of light do you actually use in suits g a Optic 2 Gen 3 with two crew cobs and 32 individual 5watt red, blue and IR/UV
I would keep feeding her you still have mostly white pistils on her. She needs a bit more phosphorus and potassium to bulk up. Would start checking the trichome color when 50% of her pistils have dried and turned orange. Then decide if she's ready to flush or not. They will put on the most weight during the last 2-3 weeks before harvest. I would feed her for 1 more week then see where you stand next week.👍
@Philindicus, I’ve just gave them there feed and added the flower boosters too! It is a lot to take in like so many strains, I guess you just have to find your favorites to work with! I’m experimenting on the wedding gelato next and legendary punch! Thank you @philindicus
@STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO, Thanks I'm still learning a lot myself on GD it's nice to get a few different opinions on your grows. On my first grow the Afghan Kush I started flushing about a week too soon so it took 3 more weeks to ripen enough to harvest so I could have fed them for at least 1 more week. They really like that potassium in the last few weeks they kind of blow up in size.
@Philindicus, cheers I’ll give them another feed I did give them just water on Friday but I’m due to feed them in the morning so I’ll give them a last feed then I’ll start my flush! I really appreciate the advice! This is my learning part and I only want to get better! Your a legend bro
@STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO, Don't give up on your LEDS. The majority of growers on GD are running them with great results. I think on your next grow wait to switch your lights over to bloom(RED spectrum) until your plant has reached its halfway point of stretching. Hitting them with red too soon will create excessive stretching. Most breeders will tell you to keep feeding veg nute and using veg lights after you flip her to 12/12. It's a matter of timing to limit her stretch. I don't consider it blooming until I see multiple little balls of white pistils. Also this strain is supposed to be Indica dominant but doesn't seem to have the growth habits of one. I would look at some other diaries to pick your next strain to see if it would work better for your grow set up.
@Philindicus, it honestly has done well honey cream more than my cherry bomb but all in all I have learned some good things and everyone won’t be the same but I aim to do better! I made a cake and some cookies and have a little budder left for some toast treats! Yesterday for me was alien meaning I weren’t here lol had me on another planet’ and as for the cure I’m going to do that and wait a couple of weeks when all the taste comes back as there more earthy But nice and clean and the high is incredible feel it in my body more which is ideally what I wanted
Congratulations on the harvest. I would check on your buds at least every day to allow some fresh air into the bag. The humidity is pretty high just keep an eye out for mold issues.
@Philindicus, I put a fan heater up there to keep it 18 and humidity has dropped with the de humidifier to 55% from Sunday! I listened to what you said as soon as I read it and went up gave em a little shake and feel to see what’s going on! So id day 2 more day’s and I can jar them!
Very nice they're still putting on some weight. I would keep feeding her at least one or two more time over the next week. Then once again see where you stand. If 50+% of the pistils still haven't dried maybe even a third feeding.👍👍
@Philindicus, I’m definitely going to try one or two more feeds been so hesitant like I start flushing then stop but really they’re just getting one feed of pure water and then back to nutes Lol I’m going to start to monitor them more and maybe wait the flush until the pistols as you say curl in because they have changed to about 50% today but still got a lot of white pistols sprouting and the bud is still swelling so I’m definitely trying what you said! Thank you
Hi @STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO! This could be related to: 1) genetics, but RQS strains are usually very good/stable. 2) pinkish light, these are not the best when it comes to the stretch cycle, 3) too much Nitrogen while the plant was in its preflowering stage. There's not much you can do at this stage but bending her or super-cropping her might help, next time be prepared for the stretch and start to LST as soon as the plant has 3-4 nodes, this will help to contain its height while multiplying nodes for a better yield. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, happy growing! 👊
@Stick, cheers bud I have commented again I’m hoping you can help me understand something else too as I can’t seem to find the right topic or forum to explain the difference by using images and as I have mine uploaded I’m thinking I can get the help to understand what’s going on! I have 2 co2 bags hanging in each tent too could this be a problem as they only take in so much! And I have the pk boost ready to use I believe it’s next week I have to as it says 3 weeks before harvest! Thank you I appreciate all the help
Just saw the previous question. Too much red spectrum will also cause excessive stretching. If possible cut back on the red even after you flip her to 12/12 until she starts 1/2 way into her stretch. Then hit her with your bloom spectrum. You may have to experiment for a couple of grows to control the amount of stretch you want to deal with.
Hey there hope I answered your question , looks banging so far - good luck maintaining that quality ! For more info about vdp check out : https://getpulse.co/blog/vpd Anything else you need just message me 👊🏻
Great they are starting to swell up nicely. This is the worst part waiting for the trichomes to ripen. It's purely a guestimate but you may have at least a couple of weeks or more to go before harvest. They will continue to get fatter over the next couple of weeks.
I would start looking at her trichome colors at this point. I like to use a 40x LED lighted jewelers loupe(Amazon.com) you may be able to find one in a coin collector shop also. You will see some clear, some half cloudy/milky colored one by this point. Once you have more cloudy/milky than clear I would start your flush. They will still bulk up while your flushing. As they ripen you will see some amber colored trichome start to show up over the next couple of weeks. Once you have mostly cloudy/milky trichome with 5-30% amber you can harvest her. The more amber the more of a body high you'll get. If you take her too soon your high may be a bit more of a speedy head high which for some smokers may find uncomfortable for enjoyment. You can also harvest in stages to see what you like.👍
@STAYINGONMYMAINCBATORUNTWO, hey man consider using an evaporative cooler , should bring it down to 25C and it's pretty cheap and pretty small... Otherwise there's the muuuch more expensive route of using the AC
I’ve just added 2 new photos 1 is the size and 2 is the temps and humidity! Doing well on ventilation I’m Ngl very happy about my equipment choices thanks to you guys commenting! I appreciate you
Thank you 🙏 I have angled th light about 2-3 weeks ago! And bent a couple of stems which I’ve added photos for today! Also I have moved some stems across each other using ties giving them more light and space! I think I may have turned it around! All I have to do now is wait! 😊 thank you everyone I appreciate you
Thankyou everyone all the comments are helpful and I want to learn as much as possible so I can as you say control it next time! I’m a bit far in at the moment so I’ll try and make efforts on my next grow! As I used the same led light for veg as I am bloom and I should have got a cfl duel spectrum as during veg I had the most positive results! I have a different problem if someone can look at my photos and see i have some drooping going on and clawing maybe and I think I’m over watering as I was giving them 3 litres every 3 days and where I have toppers I didn’t think to check as it was comfy before with this amount of water but I will pay close eye to the girls now! The cherry bomb and honey cream are in the same tent but the cherry bomb has stayed stable? Thank you again people I appreciate all the help! I’m also going to upload my special kush strain there the same age as the honey and cherry! Can’t wait to see what type of harvest I get!
Adding a new photo as I transferred them yesterday 28.7.19 which makes them accurately 4 weeks today 29.7.19 I’ll give them until 6 weeks and then flower them for 8
