Banana's, Pineapples, Lemons, Skunky Gorillas and Powerplants, realllly looking forward to this high THC% jungle.I'm going for the good old coffee filter to get the seeds going. I'm even doing the extra effort of aiming the root ends of the seeds down, legend goes that gravity will get the sprout going straight down instead of a crazy curl. Well...No harm, no foul. High hopes and expectations. Ready, Steady Grow!

Nice and easy, Moved from under the LED panel to HPS (Lumatek 600w set to 250W) and will be adding a couple standard of the shelve LED spots to give it some extra white. "Full spectrum" HPS...but the spec sheet says color code 2100k which I think is a little warm for grow. Feeding at 1.3 EC, PH 5.8, foliar spray once a day.

Topped and fimmed, feeding and spraying Cannacure every now and then. I had mites last time so now I'm extra cautious aka paranoud. In the bag ladies. HID on 600W now, Airtube on the floor, first time I do this so I just bought it. I install it, don't feel any air coming through any holes, I call the store and they give me this: "We ran out of perforated air tube, you need to poke some holes yourself, we'll refund it" 😂 I mean, what! No time to waste so I did poke holes myself but..man! In-fan was running hot obviously. Glad I caught that on time. Feeding to 1.6 EC, one shot of enzyme this week, rootjuice. first watering with Aptus Soil Attack to prevent soil critters. 15 liter bags with Biobizz All Mix (I ordered Supreme but hey...ffs) Can't go wrong with Biobizz though. This is going to be a short week probably because I want to switch to 12. Just want to have the roots settled in their new home and then B(L)OOM!

I trying to follow the Greenhouse Powderfeed Terra PH schedule during this grow and will gradually turn up the PH each week. Week 2 so PH 6.1. I'm going higher than their EC schedule with 1.75. I really liking Canna Cure foliar spray, kinda expensive though. I don't know why I never used this type pressure sprayer before, Waaaay easier to reach underneath the leaves. Lamp on 250W and when the leaves are dry after half an hour or so, back to 660W. I have 1000HID set in my diary because I'm adding extra light on the sides with simple off the shelve warm white LED bulbs. I've done a complete grow with just those bulbs before and had a really nice outcome, so I'm now adding them as extra lighting in a bigger grow room. I'm quitting CalMag as I figure I really don't need it with my tap water. Humidity high during lights on, more fresh air in and extraction during lights out. Everyone out for an individual checkup next week, a quick clean in the room and then ready for the big stretch.

Looks like she have a nitrogen excess, can be seen on the leaves that "looks" dark green ( hard to day under the orange spectrum) and the shape of the leaves : They are clawing ! Clawing + Dark green = N excess ( could also be a peat attack BUT it would not be my 1st idea )

Great bit of stretching this week, had to adjust my lights and fans every single day. Starting to clean up the bottom of the stems here and there. A bit every day so they don't go in recovery mode. Limp Gorilla is back in the game. All healthy so far, not a bug in sight, no leaves dying...nada. PAR meter shows 750 over the entire canopy so I have high hopes for a good even flowering even though it's quite a mix I have going here.

All well, all healthy, the fruit smell on the Lemon Kush leaves is just amazing. Did some more cleaning up under the skirts, left quite a bit of lower layer leaves on. If a lower leaf catches light and doesn't block any buds or more important leaf, I don't take it off but only pinch out the wannabe but never gonnabe buds. Some frost development here and there, not bad with still 4 weeks at least to go. EC up to 1.8, PH 6.4 . I bought this cheap small dehumidifier which isn't ideal, but gets the humidity down to 65% every now and then:). Lots of roots showing on the soil surface on all of them, so I topped off the half eaten Biobizz soil with some standard off the shelve humic acid. 2ml Atazyme, Took 3 Rocket Banana monster clones for a friend of a friend. Skunks still no heavy drinkers, VERY skunky smell though. So far...pretty GREAT genetics from Zambeza, reaaaalllly looking forward to the tasting phase👏👏👏

I call this cruise control from this point on, boostfeed until flush. All buds have found their spot, all leaves have settled in the spots I've pushed them in, bit of light reaching the bottom to keep things healthy there as well. I have probably removed around 3 or 4 fan leaves per plant over the course of this grow, so no major defoliation, just enough to make each significant bud see the light. I've decided to add some BAC Extreme Booster (leftovers) to my mix, I use everything else listed up to 1.8 EC (and that's dosing as per Atami's schedule), and then top it off to 2.2 EC with this BAC booster. The ladies seem to like it. PH up to 6.5 meanwhile and will stay at 6.5 as of today. I'm never moving away from CanaCure and Aptus Soil Attack again, not a bug in sight and never seen healthier leaves. Also borrowed a better dehumidifier from a friend but it adds another 600w to my grow if I set it max mode (40%), leaving it on 60% for now. The upside is that the humidifier blows out warm air, taking my temp up a notch, eliminating the need for my little 2000W heater that kicks in at 18°C during lights out.

Man the weeks fly by, end of week 7 almost, Most ladies are starting to get a decent tan so...water Water Water; (I was going to try a flushing agent but meh...plain water) , about 1/2 liter/day if the topsoil is dry. I've been cutting off 10 minutes of lights on time the past couple weeks, almost down to 11hrs now into week 8 (when they're all supposed to be ready), scope says 100% milky (on the plants I can reach at least). more pics coming up if I find the time. On almost all of them, the second layer buds look riper than the top buds. I mean darker pistils, a real "ready" look. I don't think I've ever seen lower buds ripen faster than the ones closest to the light. The main top colas have much less of an "orangy done" look, they're massive and dense though and 100% milky. Have been flushing for 6 days now and reducing light on time as well but not as many autumn symptoms as I would expect either. (leaves sucked dry for energy I mean) Well, they still have one week to go at least... If anyone has any thoughts on this, let me know.

That's 10 days of plain water, last dose just now. Giving them a little less light and I'll probably put them in 24/48 hours dark before I start chopping them down. Still being somewhat sceptic, I started doing that again after watching this a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Ns7j0WIJM. What doesn't hurt...

The soil may have been very nutrient rich. The yellowing and dying off tends to come as the plant exhausts the nutrients in the soil. I grow in coco coir and it still takes about a week of flushing coco before I start to see signs of deficiency in the leaves. It still is a somewhat of a controversial topic whether to flush or not. I always have and always will. When you feel the trichs and buds look ready, cut her down. A few extra days could end up with a ton more amber, but that's ok if that's how you like your smoke.

as @OutForReal said....if you want accurates advices….please take pics with natural light ! it s really important dude cause a bad diagnosis done can be a problem Added to a problem ! and exactly as he said it s so hard to tell you : i am sure your issue is….. try next time if you need help to think about it 👍 clawing can caused effectively by N excess at first sign….but most of the time it's also accompanied by burn marks….so if you Don't see that soon it could be another Reason. even with bad light your plant seems to me healthy….even though the image can be misleading for me too ! clawing can also be induced by too much breeze… take a look here https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/wind-burn is this plant is close to your fan ?? i am not saying that @OutForReal is wrong cause he's is possibly right...i am just saying to be careful to take good pictures to get a sure opinion 👌👊

@OutForReal, @Budofpray , thanks for the tips guys. I agree about the light messing pictures. I was trying to lazy my way out of having to adjust light for pictures during the 12hr lights on so I've been messing about with filters instead. Well the good news is that Miss Gorilla is back on track... I too was thinking N excess but they're all getting the exact same feeding schedule. So that got me to think about my enzymes which I only add 2ml/l once a week. Maybe I messed up and gave this plant double by accident, I don't know... :) Maybe strain related...one of the three gorilla seeds didn't make germination and the two that survived have been the "more sensitive" plants in this grow. (less drinking, bit droopier), now they're really going at it though. 👏

@DenDv1d 100% of what @Budofpray, is saying is true and I can also tells you that you should double check the infos that are given to you and the clawing example is a perfect one ❤️💛💚

Nice grow!! What do you think about these bag you used as containers? Are they 3gal? I see this material here, 1$ for 1 meter, I believe I can make these...
DenDv1d
DenDv1dcommented5 years ago
@Psilocubensis, they are 4 gallon
DenDv1d
DenDv1dcommented5 years ago
@Psilocubensis, thanks man ;) No complaints whatsoever about the bags. They won't rip easily but they are very thin, so when a big old root pushes through, it does cause a significant leak here and there. Other than that, very compact one or multiple use bags, if I wash 'm they'll be good as new.

@BillMonroe, I've had this one for 2 years, 4 -5 grows I think. They're very decent and haven't had one lock up or die on me yet. Not too big of a fan of the hanging system though. I always end up adding som extra support so it doesn't slide down. but very gentle breeze quiet fan all together

One weirdo Gorilla in the group, it's growing "normal", no spots or anything on the leafs, no overwatering... not sure what's up with it, we'll see. First time I'm using bags instead of pots and I'm liking it, also handy for LST. Feeding's up to 1.6EC, PH up, enzymes once a week. I have a 5 liter jug with sugar/yeast mix for CO2 and that's bubbling away nicely. Turning the temp up to 30°C during lights, extractor fan and in-fan turned to 20% minimum run capacity. I learned that when you add CO2, especially uncontrolled with a simple makeshift bubbler system, requires that temp and humidity are on the high side as well. I also take the supply tube out during lights out.
DenDv1d
DenDv1dcommentedweek 16 years ago
First week, 2 casualties, 1 gorilla and 1 pineapple didn't make it. Very slow, close to no poppage in the filter, no root development. The other seeds popped rrreally fast. One Skunk has no stem, really weird. Should have taken a better picture but its pretty funny looking, probably really twisted inside the pod. No nutes up until now, plain tap water, a little watered down foliar feed mist since day 6. Moving to small soil containers next with some rootjuice and a little growfeed 1.0 EC. These are under a cheap 300W ledpanel now which does have a good dimm switch to block out some red.
the end.
