these smell amazing, and are pretty dense buds. this has a smell of sweet candy spice? but to me it smells good and I should be in the last week of flower this week with all but one that seems to be behind so I will let her go a few more weeks. I checked on the seed and it is nice and hard and once I do the chop ill let the branch that was seeded go for a week or so. I have been very happy with the outcome minus the hardship I had in week 4 of veg. other wise until next week if I do not do the chop by then.

Hi @blendmedmedman! This looks like pH fluctuations to me. You should buffer your pH to ~6.2 which is the sweetspot for regular soil. Watering with the wrong pH will slow down or block nutrient intakes, leading to a slow growth / poor health of the plant. Get yourself a pH-pen, these aren't expensive but definitely helpful to get a successful yield. By the way, you should also buy an EC-meter, this will help you to manage nutrients and adjust your feedings to the plant's needs. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need further information. Happy growing! šŸ‘Š

Awesome to see you breeding, that's what they are meant for.

@SensiSeeds, i need your help i can not find fruity juice here in the states, please i would like to use that for a diary and preserve the strain if that is ok. i am afraid this legendary strain will be forgotten i do not need any packaging, just the seeds tucked away some where. i hope this happens,

@PCK_222, yeah I agree pretty great to hear and know

I don't know if your having the same issue with your leaves in this week. I swear you just had the question up or am I imagining things? I would take a look at your light distance running a 700 watt LED at 10" could be part of the issue. https://www.blackdogled.com/lst Also you may be using too much Beastie Bloomz creating an excess of PK in your soil. Good luckšŸ‘

@Philindicus, yeah i had thought i could just delete it, but yes i had to pick

@blendmedmedman, That explains it. I think you have to pick an answer to close the question. Glad to hear you solved the issue.

blendmedmedman
@Philindicus, no that question was from I think 4 weeks ago, the light is about 10 inches and is a 300w but no problems this week It was like the 3rd or 4th week of veg where I fed it and I did not know the soil was hot as it is my first soil grow. that has been fixed with a flush and the leaves sprayed with Epsom salts. yeah I was trying to find a way to delete the old question as it kept coming up. thanks though
DILLIGAF

I agree with spinner it's temp related Lower the temps and youll be fine and did you know that the males pollen can attach itself to your hands or clothing and then you unintentionally spread it everywhere Be Careful mate
DILLIGAF
DILLIGAF
@blendmedmedman, after the grow wipe the whole inside of the tent down with some bleach to kill anything that may be lurking if your using a carbon filter it will need cleaning too
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@DILLIGAF, yeah I will be checking the female first and then the male but will not re enter the female room after or on the same day. my temps are 82 in the day and 72 at night. the problem has been fixed as it was too much nutrients on my part as I did not know the soil was already hot, my first soil coco perlite grow, I flushed awhile back got a 6 ph at root zone, then sprayed with Epsom salts , all is healthy now as I cut the bad leaves off, this was like 3 or so weeks ago. will the pollen be hard to clean on the inside of the tent?

Mostly looks really good other than what looks like a little bit of nutrient imbalance/burn. Best of luck and happy growing!
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@@Ssomeguy,yeah that little burn I am not worried at all but they came out good as well as I will have some seed and pollen to keep the strain around as sensi seeds discontinued it from their catalog, I have heard nothing but good things about the strain, it smell and looks real tasty for sure I am just looking forward to a taste soon
Reaper
Reaperweek 6
wow those pollen are a nightmare. dont let that in your growspace remove it it will spread and polinate everything
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@Reaper, yeah I heard, I have it separate in a different tent in another room. I will check on my females first and then do whatever with the male. I know I am really going to have to clean that tent out real good but at least I will have some pollen and seed and hoping to do a few branches on some others here and there. I wont be visiting the room with the females after that is for sure
ghostface00132
ghostface00132week 6
Do you know how to pollinate a female properly? I will tell yah what i do. Take the male pollen. Put it in a bag. Take the bag put it over a female bud, tie it off on the bud you wanna pollinate. Drench the rest of the female plant that you just pollinated with water for 2 days, keep bag on the bud yoy pollinted. After the second day you can pull the bag off. This makes it so yoy dont pollinate the whole female just one bud. Yah you might get abit of seed in the odd buds but based on my experience this is what i found worked best and you still get a harvest out of the pollinated female.
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@ghostface00132, i was going to put one plant in with the male but i wanted to try to pollenate some branches by using a brush or q tip to do the areas, atleast that is what i read, i had heard you brush the stigmas/hair that is at the bottom but will try this, thanks
Wicked_Stix
Wicked_Stixweek 6
Got you a male there. Did you use the silver?
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@Wicked_Stix, no i tried that last time with no success, these where regs but i want to use the male to get seed and pollen from. i haver the male in a separate tent in another room, i will put one plant in but i want to pollenate a few branches or cross breed. i read that i can do this with a brush or q tip. usually like everyone else who gets that male i chop it right away. the males are so ugly

This plant is very stressed... I suggest you check your feeding PH and get the humidity up. The plant is also too small for a feed of 20-20-20. There is too much going wrong here to just say "Its over this or under that". Good luck
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@Hellhazard, yeah I know, I have the humidity up to 54% just forgot to update it here, the reason I did a feed of the 20 20 20, a light feed at that is that some thing is going on and the plant to me looks like it is a boron deficiency, also this is my first soil/coco/perlite grow, im thinking between the ph being off and the deficiency, the look of it looks like cal mag, my roots are happy and white and no rot smell, , the feed I did last night the ph was at 6.4 so I will wait and see when the lights come on if there is any improvement, before this happened the plant looked healthy, I ran a ionizer then fed them was kind of heavy, then I seen this and flush and got the root zone ph done to 6 so last night feed was the first in a week as the soil was dry, she got about a cup and a half so not very much. so I have the ph up where it needs for soil and the humidity is up to 54% and the temp is at 82,

For one I recommend rasing your daytime temperature by 5-8 degrees. LEDā€™s donā€™t raise leaf surface temperature like HPS because they lack IR. My LED garden runs great at 84-86F, 50-60% RH. Happy frog does have nutrients, and your plants are still small in large containers(4gal?), so overfertization and/or overwatering would be easy. The puffy interveinal spaces suggest slight overwatering to me. Too much mositure in the medium can lead to rotting the small root hairs, and the yellowing from the bottom up. I like to add a lot of extra aeration in my soil. But yeah if I was you Iā€™d let em dry out well then give them a water, then a compost tea, or a instant tea like ā€˜Rechargeā€™ to get your soil back in balance
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@OrganicChronic, the roots are fine, they don't get water too much, to me it looks like a deficiency of cal mag, I have done everything you mentioned and no change, so im off to try again other things, fingers crosse, the soil and what I gave them was prob. too much. live and learn now just hoping for the best as it seems what ever is going on is going on in the other tent now, im looking at diseases and hoping it is just a boron deficiency, but im keeping my eyes open

Also using an ionizer may potentially produce small amounts of ozone while there are studies out there disputing this or supporting this ozone is not good for plants. I'm not a chemist but your plant, soil and nutrients are positively and negatively charged so an ionizer changes the particle charges of the air it's a possibility that this could present an issue. Just a thought.
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@Philindicus, I hear that. my first and last time using it. I had thought it was supposed to be good.
Philindicus
Philindicus
@blendmedmedman, I used FF happy frog on my first grow it turned out the soil itself was very acidic. I was watering at like 6.4 and my runoff was like 5.4 so a guesstimate was my ph was like 4.4 I swore I would never use happy frog again.
blendmedmedman
blendmedmedman
@Philindicus, yeah I ran an ionizer right before I did the feed in the 3rd week, so it was my guess over feeding and the ionizer just kicked the plants asses. it only happed to like 2 out of my whole garden of 9 plants at the time. but this strain just was not happy, as the soil was hot/ fox farm happy frog. and I feed it and realized after what I did. so yes I did think that as well. I fixed doing a flush of 6.0 at root level, and doing the Epson spray like I had said in the other comment. It also looked like a cal/mag issue and that's why I did the spray i also cut the ugly off, a few lower branches, after that i had no issues. live and learn though and that is what it is all about

@Stick, i think this was over feeding on my part, did not know soil was hot, i flushed and just sprayed Epson salts for a few weeks. this was maybe 3 or so weeks ago. all seems healthy now but i over feeding hot soil will do that, my ph has been between 6.2 and the highest 6.4, my first soil coco perlite and i did not know. all seems normal and health now, day temps are 82 55% humidity night is 72 55%

this is about a month into cure, smoke is real nice heavy euphory type sensation that melts you in to relaxation body Indica high last a few hours, the buds are hard and compact that burn real nice and smooth. I will be planning to grow this strain again and again. it may be an older strain but you will get a very nice yield along with some really good weed. Thanks again @SensiSeeds šŸ‘
