Lights switched to 12/12h on 23/8
Journal started on week 4 of blooming
From seed
Feeding 3 times per day. total = 1.3L/day, 20% run-off
Run-off = 950 ppm, Ph=5.6
Week 6, day 1
Watering 1.3L per day. 6 times x day.
Run-off 20% => (830 ppm, pH=6.0)
No sign of overfeeding :)
No more trimming small brunches from here, only a little defoliation every so.
Smell's very weak so far.
The weather is not helping, still it's cold and wet. :/
It's supposed to be an 8 weeks plant, but I think it'll take more.
[update]
Week6, day 4
The runoff ec increased to 1,100 ppm, and the leaves look like too dark in my opinion.
I flushed and reduced feeding solution to 700 ppm.
I'm trying to get some quality on this crop. Growing in such a small place is very tricky...
Suggestions are aways welcome.
Week 7 of flowering since switched to 12/12h.
Buds start to take form and smell is noticeable.
The weather starts to get better, the temp is good and humidity is aceptable for this region (latitud 35º S).
Some signs of overfertilization are shown: the color of the leaves are too dark, shiny, and some of the largest leaves are clawing. Also the ec runoff increased to 1.200 ppm.
The coco was flushed and nuts reduced to 600-650 ppm.
I'm trying to get some quality crop this time. It's very tricky to grow in such a small space and get a aceptable relation g/watt.
Overfertilization have been one of my issues, besides mold...
Suggestions are welcome!
Week 8 since switch to 12/12h.
The weather stays good, finally.
Pistils start to turn brown. Thricoms are 50% clear, 50% cloudy.
Going low on nutrients to avoid over fertilization (600-650 ppm)
2 or 3 weeks until harvest, I guess...
Suggestions are welcome. 👍
Week 10 since switched to 12/12h. (it's in time if the first week of blooming is deducted.)
Trichomes're 80% cloudy. I didn't find any amber trichome yet. Pistils are 50% orange 50% white.
Today I started flushing the coco (a lot!). I really don't want any sign of fertilizer in my pot. So, from here no more food, only plain water.
Suggestions are always welcome!
We're almost there. There're some amber trichomes, just a few.
I'm gonna wait a few more days to harvest it.
It smells nice! :)
And there's sign of nuts deficiency, and some light purple tones.
It's an easy plant to grow, also very beautiful. It didn't stretched much, and flower more like sativa, with airy buds. No mold! :)
Quite bushy plant, I went heavy with defoliation.. Also it's easy to overfeed, I went really low on the fertilizer during flowering, and flushed for 2 weeks.
This is my 7th grow of high CBD strains, and 2nd time growing this strain, I recommend it! 9/10!!
It took 12 weeks from switch 12/12 hours until harvest. Very resinous with pungent smells.
I'm still drying it. I'll update soon...
[update]
It have been drying for 8 days. The weather is good..
It weighs 107g, stems removed..
[update 2]
1 month after curing:
the herb is very sticky, it smell is ok, good.
The thc : cbd profile according to this analysis is 15.6 : 8.5% (last photo)
The high is nice, energetic and relaxing. Just a little strong to me, I prefer something lighter, but still recommendable.
It's 8 weeks of flower time. It's a photoperiod plant, not an auto. Mine took 11 weeks or something to show sex, so you're definitely not gonna get finished inside of 8 weeks
Great looking girlie!
@Benji, I mean 8 weeks of flowering, this is according to the bank seed.
It's now on week 6 since switched to 12/12h. I think it'll need something about 10 weeks of blooming for a full ripening...
Thanks!
You have done a beautiful job training and maintaining that lower canopy👍 this has certainly helped spread those branches for maximum light distribution and penetration to all available budsites:ok_woman:♂️
They are in full on flower mode now mate. You will still be getting some stretch for the next 7-10 days then the real flower show can begin 👊
Really nice, healthy, productive garden👊
Until next time🙏
Firstly thank you for starting this diary on this great platform and secondly you are doing a great job so far. You've done some nice training in the early stages which has produced a very nice canopy which should allow a nice even light distribution amongst all the bud sites :)
We will be along for the ride and watching with interest mate and again thank you for taking the time to start this diary and to document your Dinafem endeavour :)
Grows looking great man
just a thought about your Leaf claw it could also be caused by low temps 14°C at night seems cool. Keep up the good work Buddy I'll be following along to the end 🤘🤘🤘
@Bigpun, the weather was awful the last weeks, for sure low temp did not helped. But, in case it's overfertilized, I hope the buds are not burned and it can recover, let's see what'll happen. I'm looking for some smooth and tasty smoke..
Thanks for your opinion!
@Tesla, oh okay. Awesome idea. Where I live is always hot and dry. I'm having problems at min because of heat wave. 30 in the house. And 37 outside at min. My tent sitting around 32. With intake out take a occelating fan and leaving the door open.. good luck with your grow man.
@islandgrows89, there's extractor at the top and an intake air at the bottom, the air flow is quite high. Mold can be a problem. I live in a very humid place, so in this case defoliation and good ventilation is a must.
