This week I learned of the difficulties of maintaining the environment in an indoor grow in a garage. I played around with a few fan configs and heat runs in the mid 90's no matter how good my exhaust is set up, no good for anyone.
I purchased an AC unit that will run 24/7 throughout the grow, significantly adding to the cost of the electricity consumption.
I learned very early on that you gotta go big for big results, no not sparing any expense, as I want top notch results.
Bugs are an issue. Preventatively spraying with Doctor Doom, an old favorite. Will switch to insecticidal soap later in the plants life.
I decided to experiment and tried too hard of a stress technique on one clone that was growing tall and no side growth. Ended up killing the plant, I guess when I crushed the phylum, so 9 plants becomes 8.
Growth as expected, the waiting is the hardest part at this stage.
Please see the 2 photos marked in the diary. Is this a classic PK burn? Did a feed with no MegaCrop, no cal-mag, just PK boost at diluted dosage. The coppering and yellowing has come sudden. Leaves are crispy where burnt. I hear its easy to burn with PK boost. Did I do that?
Looks like your very close to harvest. Typically growers will taper off their nutrients during the last couple of weeks then start a flush out of habit. The reason for this is plants tend to slow down or almost stop feeding during the last few weeks of the ripening stage. It looks like it could be PK burn do to this fact. A good way to check is to do a flush on the pots and see what the initial run off ppms are that first come out of the pot. if you have some crazy high ppms this may have been the issue. Another possibility is also light burn I notice in your photo that these plants are pretty much directly under the center of a 1000 watt light at 16". Hid lights emit infra red light so it can heat up the leaf surface. So I would perform a pre harvest flush and cut off all nutrients on them and back off your light. https://www.blackdogled.com/lst
I would wet trim those buds and cut off any discolored sugar leaves they will clean up nicely. Hope this helps👍
Epic start to the diary, I am all about a good story. I like the little grow space too.
I would throw my hat in the ring and support your thought of Barney’s Farms. I’m liking what I’ve experienced so far.
excellent + underated diary right here ! "The Scroggernaut - Either you're scrogging our you're not." well, looks like you're scrogging then ! great work so looks picture perfect
