Start of the 9 week, the ladies are showing nice tops and the smell are really getting stronger day by day! Leaf colors are "OK" (in my opinion) some "yellowing" i guess not from the normal growth cicle fadding collors of this genetic... I think it was from the distance to my Optic LED, i underated how tall this genetics grow, some burnout signs on leafs and that´s not from the nuts also!
So far so good, not optimistic by nature and having lack of experience as a gardner but i guess i´m on the rigth path! 👻
3x5 gallon pots in 80x80x180 with 100W COB LED are not ideal, and i´ve been very busy working on the light distribution to achieve something out of this grow! The cannopy are looking really good with nice tops but showing slower bud development under cannopy, should i go 12Weeks?
If you really can't get more light in there, then I suggest to take off the big fan leaves. When you're top buds are ready to harvest you can pick them off and leave the smaller buds on the plant to mature....
I like it to let the plants grow as they are, but mostly its not the most effective way, Automatics respond very well to lst, and give you a bigger harvest.
@Crazyweedpt,its absolutely ok. Not every grow should look like the other one. As long as you can handle the plant everything is fine. My Royal cookies lookesd very similar to your Plants. and i did give her LST, she was just a vigor growing girl and i dont wanted to stop her
@Mrs_Larimar, cheers 👻 done some lst and trim along the growth but tryed to minimize stress caused as possible! notice that the net i´m using to scrog also helped to suport and provide a way to bend the branches, while vegging one of my plants was getting so tall above the others... and that forced me to go further in training and the result of bending have changed the entire growth of that plant, the main branch that provide the cola have twisted at certain moment (i´ll upload a photo showing) , flatten and weaken growth since than, the nugs are looking fluffier in comparison to the other 2 plants... i´ve managed to control the height but also faint on her health 😓... She appears to be ageing 1 week ahead than sisters but less vigorous! Not sure if this genetic strain are ideal to LST... but know what you mean, i´ve seen amazing results of LST methods!
Royal Gorilla has quite a short life cycle and it’s probably the same for the Auto strain.
The senescence (fade) is starting, meaning you didn’t nuke your plants with heavy feedings during its life cycle. Which is perfect 👌
I guess your COB is good for 60 x 60 at 45 cm ?
You might need more coverage bro.
In the main comment of week 8 in my #SensiSeedsResearch diary there’s a detailed method on how to ScrOG your plants if it can help you !
@Crazyweedpt, have a look on Mars-Hydro, after spending a lot of time comparing and looking YouTube reviews , Mars-Hydro will give you twice coverage for the same price with an excellent PPFD !
@MarsHydroLED, can even suggest you what would be the best for you according to your budget !
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Optic 1 Xl check it https://opticledgrowlights.com/products/optic-1-xl-cob-led-grow-light-100w-3500k-cob , i´m very happy with efficiency but pay on website 230,00 € sort of 6 or 7 months ago, but with taxes and delivery costs i spent arround 400,00 € ! it was a BAD OPTION for me since im from Portugal! if had decided to go TGL STAR 100 instead means that i get the same for arround 189,00 € tax incl.
At the moment i can only dream about getting a new ligth, simply because cant afford it! I´m also very impressed with HLG quantum bars like https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/products/qb288-v2-rspec-quantum-board especially this RSPEC config... or the CHILLED LOGIC PUCK V3
@Crazyweedpt, Thanks for replay! I'm super new and i decide to be only an observer. For my next grow I'll try LST and those "nets" for sure, or even I'll try to maximize one plant. I also already saw the problem with height, my tent is only 160 cm tall and i already have fans and lamps on top what make me even less space. Good to hear that Gorilla is not that hard to grow! 👏
@emanresU, it´s a very strong and resistent plant, i had some issues with size... they grew tall and my ligths almost touch the cannopy but even being so close, the plant have thrive (minor burns)! I should use 2 net´s instead of one and that will save a lot of work and help with the strech (my advice)... In this case i have made 2 harvest´s... one from the top canopy with 10 weeks and 2 weeks later i harvest the lower cannopy ( you can also spread and trim better your plants and save the work of having to do 2 harvests). You can feed this strain with no extra care, they can take nutrients and like a lot of having a lot of light and warm temps! :) i hope you succed and enjoy at least as much as i am, it´s the best weed i ever smoke until this day! 👌
Nice job, you'll get a less fluffy bud with more light for sure next time! And get yourself a pk boost, plant magic do an organic one which I'm using at the mo
@kaksxd, para vc que quer virar astronomo “It would be wryly interesting if in human history the cultivation of marijuana led generally to the invention of agriculture, and thereby to civilization.” -Carl Sagan | Astronomer
@Crazyweedpt,before you run, learn to walk well you'll have to! You run quickly already I feel the strength in you
avant de courir apprendre à bien marcher tu devras ! Tu cour vite toi déjà je sent la force en toi
That looks like a pretty stable strain you've got there. Lots of horizontal spreading early. I have a three week GSC auto that's pretty skimpy and two that are almost small bushes. I'm looking forward to watching this to see what kind of quality RQS delivers. I've never ordered from them before.
@HKBillionaire, i´ve grown Royal Jack, Northern Ligths and White widow for RQS and i´m very pleased with the results once it was my first atempt and everything worked well!
One of the things that i do, and seems to act like a start boost is pre wash the medium (biobizz lightmix ) 3 or 5 days before put the seeds on the pot, with 2 ml of biobizz root juice per 1.5L of water, and let the medium drying but always keeping medium with humidity and keep in mind that the method for germinating seeds was paper towel :)
