SUMMARY: - I killed my first to tap-root seeds, I waited for them to grow "by the book" 0.5cm and I should have just planted, I saw them get worse and said "I must of messed up with something, lets wait another night until they bounce back" and instead they died. The next germination was super easy but my lights were too high, and the humidity was too low. All the fixes were done for the next weeks. Nov. 3 21:30 - dropped seeds into water 14:30 - get seeds into paper towel nov. 4 1:00 - seeds moved to damp paper towel nov. 5 18:00 - both seeds crack tap root emerging nov. 6 7:45 - both seeds tap root growing very long and thin, - third seed still not cracked 8:30 - both seeds placed into soil and watered lightly - placed into grow tent and LEDs turned on - 24H for the first day - 18/6 for the rest nov. 8 6:45 - first seedling spouted cotyledons leaves 13:00 - seedling (cotyledons leaves) looks droopy 19:00 - light moved down to 30” 23:00 - second seedling has reach the surface and started to sprout cotyledons - first seedling still getting taller - third seed still not cracked nov. 9 15:00 - both seedlings given 50ml of water - watered around the outside of pot - pH of water = 7.81 - pH of runoff = 6.31 nov. 10 - second seedling has created serrated second set of leaves and stretched up to same height, but much smaller than first seedling. Specifications:😎 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Nutrients: - Fox Farm Big Bloom - Fox Farm Big Grow - Fox Farm Tiger Bloom Inline Fans: - AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6 6" (exhaust) - AC infinity CLOUDLINE S6 6" (active intake) - AC infinity 6" ducting Oscillating fans: - 2x Wind Devil 6" fans Carbon Filter: - 2x iPower Carbon Filter on both inline fans - note: carbon filter on intake fan as basement had mold issues in furnace room far removed but same floor, some mold issue in other room, cat litter in basement, thus, avoiding all risks and sleeping sound at night :) all mold was killed, scrubbed, cleaned, sprayed, painted, and sprayed again before setting up. Humidifier: - TaoTronics Cool Mist Humidifier Timers: - 2x Kuman 15A/1800W 24-Hour Digital Timer Overall: Good start to the grow, germinated 2/3 seeds, both growing and healthy. Both seedlings have developed their cotyledons and although they initially were quite droopy, they often bounce back to a decent upright/natural position. Third seed is undergoing "emergency germination" for the next 2 days as it experienced identical conditions to the other healthy seeds yet failed to germinate, likely due to its unviable nature. Waiting for extension cords to lower the lights further and a humidifier to hold rH steady in the next day or so. The seedlings appear to be reaching up for the light, stretching, but it appears to be within the acceptable range as they are upright and sturdy. The seedlings often get a little droopy, it is likely that this and even the stretching can be blamed on low humidity, temperature swings between low 60's up to 81 F. Nov. 2 - I killed 2 germinated seeds by waiting for tap root to grow to 0.5cm. - note: tap root looked great but was quite short so I waited another day for it to grow as instructed, the next day it looked like it had suffered, I assumed it was something I did like too damp, or too dry, but it really just needed to be planted before tap root grew to 0.5cm. So i waited another day to see the bounce back this time carefully ensuring right amount of dampness but when i looked it was clearly dead. RIP 😭 Nov. Summary of week: - A rocky but good start has resulted in 2 healthy seedlings with a decent set of serrated leaves. - MY growing pains and on the fly adjusting of grow tent climate likely resulted in a little bit of a tough week for the seedlings. LED hanging too high likely off the start (started at 60" and got as low as 30"), low rH (going down to as low as 40% and never really getting <60%), and poor temperature fluctuations (going as low as 61F early in the morning when the lights go off for 8H and as high as 81F when the lights are on for some time). - Luckily these factors did not do much damage but in all likelihood just resulted in a slower growth rate. - After initially planted into damp soil, I only watered once, with only 50ml for each plant and mostly watered around the edges of the pot.

My grow tent drops down to 65 (75-80 with the fan on low settings during 16 hour light cycles) during the off 8 hours of the light cycle, I would like to establish a more consistent temperature, or at least ideally keep the grow tent closer to 70 while the lights are off. How?

hi, iam using small Infrared heater with thermostate to keep the Temps around 70 degree. Those little ones are doing great. Ive choosen one with only 300 watts to save my electricity bill. And it wents on if temperatures are dropping. ........But you can start with extern conditions.. do you have aplace that is wamer=? can you " isolate" the Tent=?for outside with styropor// cardboard//And last solution is giving her external heat from a heater...

SUMMARY: - overall everything went smooth but I overcompensated the LED height, I started too high (lack of extension cords), then I dropped them too low, ultimately burning the second set of "starter" leaves (after the cotyledon set). I didn't get the humidifier and climate to synergize in the way I liked either, but it went well overall. nov. 11 12:00 - third seed has still not been able to germinate, resorting to emergency soak in glass of bottled flat water 15:00 - seed taken out of glass back in damp paper towel nov.12 23:00 - put humidifier inside tent set to 95% but rH never got to 60% according to AC infinity's humidistat in between both smart pots at soil level - lowered lights from 30inch to floor to 20inch to floor - soil is 3.5" from floor - seedling canopy is 1.5" tall nov. 13 - 15:00 Grow tent climate stabilizing with the humidifier helping keep the rH between 50-60%, which is about 10% higher than before. - note: humidifier is set to max 95% rH on its setting, claims the rH is high around 80% but the AC humidistat right at the canopy claims it is closer to 50%. - Keeping the AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6 controller set on 24/7 only on setting 2 - note: must be careful with the S6 active intake, as the ducting can drastically drop the cfm coming in, resulting in a rapidly increasing negative pressure which if left uncheck could force the tent to cave severely. It was very important to watch immediately when changing the inline fans speeds, and the ducting positioning to ensure a stable and safe pressure exists. - Temperature stable around 78F during 18H of LED light - soil is slowly drying up, its still significantly heavier than the empty pot, not quite moist so will have to see about watering, still trying to get those roots to work for it and avoid overwatering. - Turned on 6" mini fans to get the lanky stalks to dance a bit and strengthen, fans are about 2 feet away at 45 angle set on "normal" power nov. 14 19:00 - humidifier is able to get the tent to a low rH of around 60%+ nov. 15 14:00 - one hour after turning on lights without humidifier on and the rH drops from 53% (as it levels out to when lights are off for 8H) down to 40%. Nov. 16 17:00 - seedlings looking a little sad and in need of some water - the younger seedling’s leaves are starting to twist a little bit (like a propeller), this could potentially be from the mini fans moving them around. - gave both plants 3x waterings of 50ml each, over the course of 5 mins. Watered until run-off, soil was extremely light and dry as to encourage greater root growth. Water was measured at 6.92 and the run-off is measured at 7.21 for the younger smaller seedling but 8.14 for the larger older. Nov. 17 14:00 - seedlings had to sit in the room just under normal room lights as grow tent was set into final position and hooked up to the new ventilation going out of the house. - some potential concerns with the air exchange “leaking” cold air back into the tent - the concern is that the grow room sits around 70-74 during the warmest possible times - whereas, during the coldest possible times it is possible for the grow room to drop to 63, which is the lowest temp just outside of the danger zone - - 22:00 right now the fan settings are synchronized on 4 and humidifier set to 80% - it appears as if this setting will hold the rH around 60-70% and the temperature around 70-74F - grow room temp: 74 - humidifier: rH 78% - set to 80% - Older seedling getting some discoloured around the tips and a little bit of a brown tip - likely lowered LED too long, but they were out of the grow tent a few hours , so not worried at all and expect full recovery in 48 hours - Lights now 27 inch from the floor / 23 from canopy Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. SUMMARY - it went well for this week but i wish I had been more ready for the transplant, I didn't realized I should transplant once the plants leaves grow past the pot edges, Nov. 18 7:30 - lights off for 30 min temp down to 66 and rH up to 80. Fan synchros at 4 and humidifier set to 80. - humidifier lowered to 60 8:30 - temp: 67 rH: 66 10:00 - temp 67 rH: 57 12:00 - temp 66 rH 66 - grow room measured at 70F 13:00 - discolouration of seedling 1 is more pronounced today, it appears to be light burn, and seedling 2’s “propeller” appearance appears to also be the same. I will ensure manufacturer (spider farmer) recommendations of at least 24-30” (currently at 29” from floor, tops of seedling are approx 4 inch tall, leaving 25” overall) 18:00 - grow tent got all the way up to 81F and I have seen it as low as 66 after the lights go off. I am pretty happy with this but researched the “Honeywell HCE100WCD1 HeatBud Personal Ceramic Heater” and it seems perfect to hook up to a controller. I could get the night time temps closer to about 70, and it would make me feel better about not risking the temps dropping below 63, but will also worry me a bit about another potential hazard. Its loaded with safety features so I trust it. With 24/7 humidifier running, I think my grow tent climate is finally set. I may grab a set of Ink-Bird controllers for humidifier and possibly the space heater, right now I have the AC infinity fans running on a locked setting, not sure if i’ll start unleashing their bells and whistles because there is no need if everything is stable right now and if anything it may just cause fluctuations. nov.19 - climate is stable with temps ranging from 66-81 on highs and lows, rH ranging from 50-80 with highs and lows, the humidistat is pretty trash on the humidifier compared to, and assuming the AC is in fact correct, which i trust much more. - bottom light burnt leaves are stable but unfortunate rookie mistake of not following manufactures recommendations of germination/ seedling LED height - roots have grown and only a little tip sticks out of the bottom of the starter pot (0.5L) and ready to transplant, hopefully today it can be done. They will be moved into the 5 gallon pots with pro-mix around the upper soil, and slowly blending into the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil which is also blended with the pro-mix roughly 3:1 ration fox farm to pro-mix 13:30 - both seedlings given 25ml of water to help for transplant - 5 gallon pot given roughly 2L of water to help transplant - 16:00 both seedlings transplanted, small amount of pro-mix added on top - Great root system on seedlings and very easy transfer - 7” soil, Seedling 3” (10” total) & Lights now at 40” total or 30” above new seedling height - 17:00 both seedlings given roughly 1L of water each to try and make transplant easier on them nov.20 6:45 - plants look good in new pots and no stress indications nov.21 - seedling one is about to grow its first 7 pointed set of serrated leaves - seedling 1 is getting ready to be topped in the next few days, maybe the 26th - seedling 2 is about 4-5 days behind in growth nov.22 - 7:00 seedlings look like they have taken to new home, look great 48H and had a nice growth spurt yesterday nov.23 - seedling 1 now has 4 nodes and will be topped in the upcoming days - seedling 2 is very slow but looks to be about a full week behind nov. 24 - plants doing great, will top both tomorrow Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. nov. 25 21:00 - both plants were topped after their 4th node - plant 1 was left with some stalk as it was almost a week ahead it seemed - plant 2 was cut when it was “younger” Nov. 26 - seedling 2: 4.5”x8x7 - Seedling 1 5”x8x10 - lights at 41” - Soil at 7” - Plant height 5” - Distance between plant and light: 30” 20:00 Watered - 500 ml each - 6.92 brita filtered water (soil is ph-6.3-6.8) - 2 min later another 500ml each, all of which is given to the furthest perimeter of the pot - 5 min later the last 500ml each into the centre of pot 22:00 - both plants have perked up significantly Nov. 27 13:00 check on plants and somehow the negative pressure got a little too much and knocked off the mini fan which swung and hit the seedling. Causing no damage luckily but slight bend of one stalk, almost a little LST for me :p Nov. 28 6:45 - seedling 1 is noticeable droopy since 23:00 last night and is flattening our Seedling 2 is nice and perky compared to last night Nov. 29 - seedling 1 has new growth from topping, and has responded very well - seedling 2 appears to have been topped a little early and thus, continued to grow slower / stunted nov. 30 - 23:00 seedling 1 has dry leaves and the soil is also dry - really nice tops sprouting everywhere right now and it appears to be flourishing as a result of the top it received 5 days ago - will start LST tomorrow, and will water the following day most likely - seedling 2 is darker and is starting to have its leaves curl inwards, but no where near an issue right now - growth is finally picking up but this plant is growing might tighter than seedling 1 - LST should do wonders on these plants over the next few weeks before they get ready for flower and to grow into a screen at 8” Dec. 1 - There is a few spots on a couple of leave which have holes, or small rips around the edges, I have no idea what, why, or how this occurred? - posssssssibly water left on leaf and then burnt through, i doubt its pests - LST both seedlings - both stems are solid, the plant is very healthy and strong, responded quite well to the gentle pulls in all directions - seedling 2 will benefit greatly from the increased access to light for the lower levels as it was quite tight towards the centre - checked moisture levels using soil meter - soil meter - Seedling 2: - Moist: 2.5/10 - Ph: 7.0 - Photo: 1000 - Seedling 1: - Moist: 2.5 - Ph: 7.5 - Photo: 1000 - 2 knuckle test, decently moist/damp - will hold off on watering for at least a day if not 2, ill let the plants tell me when they are thirsty - using fox farms ocean forest which is an organic soil so this does not really matter too much but I would like to get used to balancing soil and water/ notes pH regardless - when opening the tent, there is a scent that is like fresh plants, herbs, “green” smell but nothing like cannabis scents basically - Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Dec. 2 - plants responded very well to LST and are growing sideways and upwards more today - made some minor adjustments to the LST to get better penetration - Will top seedling 1 for a second time either tomorrow or the next day and seedling 2 in 2-4 days, it’s sensitive a little, I don’t want to stunt it anymore - water tomorrow until runoff for both plants Dec 3. - There was some technical difficulties with the new timer, the lights stayed on for a few hours too long, then went off for about 15 min, then now fully synched up on the normal schedule - 20:00 Leaves on seedling 2 we’re getting pretty dry so watered with filter water at 7.5 ph sitting in a bucked with a pond pump (increased the ph sitting over a few days) - both plants received 2.5 L each over 30 min - there was no run off, but soil meter showed pH above 6, likely meaning the soil pH is perfectly fine and balanced, it is organic fox farm ocean forest mix so it will not need balanced water coming in, it will do so inside the soil Dec. 4 - 20:00 - cut 2 tops from both plants and the second round of LST, ties were re-applied to both plants - made ghetto duct tape job to fix light leaks of the zipper - covered up humidifier LED screen - LED lowered to 24” above the canopy, which = LED 35” inches from the ground - soil is 6 inch high - canopy is 6.5 inches above soil - LED = 35” above ground = 24” above canopy - plant 2 = 12”x12”x6.5” - plant 1 = 14”x15”x6.5” - cotyledons on plant 1 have turned yellow and shrivelled up and died, first set of leaves on plant 1 that got light burnt have also slowly started to die Dec. 5 - Plants looked good after a good nights sleep and rested and recovered. 2 more tops were taken from both plants. - Plant 2 had 2 main top, and only 2 secondary tops from before - Plant 1 had 2 more secondary tops taken, adding on to the 2 secondary tops from before - Both plants have had a total of 6 tops taken - Plant 1 will have the 4 mains tops taken over the next week - Plant 2 will have the 2 mains and 2 secondary tops taken over the next week - Added 2 more SF1000 LED to the tent but they will go on for flowering - More LST was done to both plants as the stalks are starting to stretch out sideways and then I will let them grow up and through the screen, which will be 8” high for SCROG Dec. 6 - 18:00 I got 2 tops from both plants - Both plants looked great, the responded really well to the tops yesterday and I think they will handle these very well - I’ll wait a couple days to see if I’m right and give them some time then top the remaining 2 tops from both plants for a total of 8 tops each, I won’t top anymore after this Dec. 7 - topped once on each plant Dec. 8 - 22:00 - some of the canopy is turning a weak light green, most leafs seem to be wanting to curl in on themselves - most of which is most pronounced in plant 2 - most likely causes - 1) pH - 2) under watering - 3) nute defenciency - 4) light or wind burn Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Big Bloom - Fox Farm
Big Bloom 7.925 mll
Dec. 9 - focuses for the week - Defoliation - watering until run-off - start feeding nutes - start growing into SCROG - balance soil pH - Plant 1: leaves curling inward, older leaves getting discoloured, not as bad as plant 2, most of those older leaves tips now point downward, and don’t appear to be curling inward - Plant 2: leaves curling inward, older leaves getting discoloured, looks like they are getting a little splotchy and losing their nice green healthy colour for a bit of a yellow-y green faded, most of those older leaves tips now point downward, and don’t appear to be curling inward - LST removed for now - I will give each plant 5.5L of water, with 40mL of Big Bloom nutes over the course of 30 min (1L note water given 5 times). The Soil ph for plant 1 is 7.5 and plant 2 soil ph is 7 Thus, the waters pH is at 6.5 to balance it all out hopefully. - 1) take soil readings Plant 1 pre water/feed - soil ph: 7.5 - soil moisture: 2.5 - Lift: light Plant 2 pre water/feed - soil ph: 7 - soil moisture: 4 - Lift: medium - 2) prepare water/feed - get 11.5L of water in bucket - take water readings - add in 90mL of Big Bloom - take water readings - ph:7.65 - mix thoroughly via pond pump - take water readings and add white vinegar to drop ph down to 6.5 Water (11.5) + 90ml Big Bloom - ph: 7.65 - White vinegar 3ml + pond pump mix 1 min - Ph: 7.3 - plant 2 ph: - 5.2 - Defoliate - I only took the first set of leaves on the soil at the bottom of both plants and the cotyledons that had already died on both plants - Fans on high trying to get good airflow under the bushyness - I can often find a bit of water or wet droplets in certain places underneath so i want better airflow and I don’t want mould or other problems - plant 1: - Ph: 5.8 - Plant 2: - Ph: 6.6 Dec. 11 - plant 1: - Ph: 6.8 - Plant 2: - Ph: 6.0 - Older leaves’ stalks turning red is an issue and the newer growth being light green is an issue. - I think it will be best to start feeding now, the soil is very moist still, just damp to the first knuckle but it won’t need water for a few days, when it does I will feed 1 gallon of water each with big bloom and grow big - plant 2 - Ph: 6.9 - Plant 1: - Ph: 6.8 Dec. 12 - plant 2 - Ph: 6.0 - Plant 1: - Ph: 6.9 Dec. 13 - plant 1 - Ph: 6.9 - Plant 2 - Ph: 6.8 - Plants look really good and are making their recovery nicely - Stems are very strong and getting thicker - There is some scars from the twist ties but I have been very careful with them, I don’t think they will get cut too much, or choked, but I will make sure the fan doesn’t cause any damage - LST was done and i got a better understanding of how I want to shape it and space it out - I think week 8 or 9 will be the last week before flower - I will put the screen up next week, my leg is in a cast so tent maintenance is very hard and the screen is 4x4 so it will be annoying, I might consider just holding off until I’m out of the cast. - Trying to lower the humidity into the 50’s - Fans are on higher settings now, 8, and the tent is down a few degrees, at 69-74 during peak lights - One tip of plant 2 has a burn, could have just been water but I have too much nutes last time to over compensate for the deficient so it could also be a little of that Dec. 14 - ph of both plants is steady, just below 7 so in the 6.8-6.9 region - I take the soil pH with the rods deep in the soil and between the pot and the main stalk - Likely the reason why the fluctuations seemed so weird, and I’m guessing the sensor for the run-off was hitting dirt or something and was not able to be accurate but the ph run off under 5 seems super weird - the bottom leaves on plant 2 are very dead but their stems have recovered and overall the plant seems healthy just slow and very sensitive when compared to plant 1, its possible its a genetics thing, since the treatment has been 100% identical essentially Dec. 15 - 55% rh goal, no more than 60, no less than 40 - Plants getting light green new growth again, plant 2s lower leaves are shriveled and dead from previous nute shortage - Fans are on an auto timer for 2-8 - Plant q - Ph: 7.5 - 3.7 moist - Plant 2 - PH: 7.5 - 8 wet - Plant should be fed as it needs nutes based on the leaves continuing to start to die off, the new light green growth and the dry feel - I want to start giving them nutes every other watering but I’ll need to give them nutes again today but without a lot of water if I can feeding - I plan on feeding 1-2 times a week with the second feed going until run-off - I will have them grow up and then place the Scrog net over them at the start of week 8 so they will have a good few weeks to grow into it - What should I do about the old leaves? likely ph imbalance and/or nute deficiency (Phosphorus -redding older stems + browning of dry leaves) and Nitrogen- slow light green new growth) - the issues seem to be resolved, but the leaves are flaking almost. mostly referring to plant 2

I would remove them, remember whatever damage that has been done due to a deficiency will stay that way ... Plus having dead leaves around can leave room to invite unwanted insects to your environment because they love to feed on the dying leaves.

My ankle and foot is in a cast so I can’t move around well so delaying the screen is no problem for me Dec. 16 - plant 1: - Ph: 6.3 - Plant 2: - Ph: 6.2 - defoliated 4 fan leaves that had died from plant 2 - defoliated just a few baby fan leaves scrapping the soil on plant 1 - Plants look nice and healthy from the feeding, they love getting those nutes - Both plants now have Redding/ purple-ing stems and plant 2 has some leave halfway up that are browning in between the veins of the leafs towards the tips of the leaf - Much worse in plant 2, Redding stems in plant 1 have not resulted in such leaf Browning or dying - plant 1 has the redding/ purplish stems around the new growth tips, but only a bit of the boron deficiency browning - I will re-LST plant 1 and 2 today dec. 17 - the boron, nitrogen, and phosphorus deficiencies seem to be slowly correcting but it is something to keep an eye on - i think a lot of those deficiencies were caused by the soil ph getting off, but also because i wanted to purposely err on the side of under watering and under-feeding - now i understand more and feel comfortable as I have set the floor for expectations of the ocean forest soil - it lasted a good 3-4 weeks (cut with 33% pro-mix) on the nutes in soil, and clearly week 4-5 it should have received its first feed - week 6-7 was mostly due to the delay of symptoms and the slowly correcting deficit dec. 17 - the boron, nitrogen, and phosphorus deficiencies seem to be slowly correcting but it is something to keep an eye on - Plant 2: - Ph: 6.8 - 9h later - 7.3 - Plant 1: - Ph:7 - 9 hours later - 7.3 - re applied LST to both plants - Plant 2 stems look a little lighter, getting a bit lighter on new growth Dec. 18 - plant 2 - Ph: 7 - Plant 1 - Ph: 7.2 Dec. 18 - plant 2 - Ph: 7 - Plant 1 - Ph: 7.2 - plants look really good, humidity with the mini fans running during the dark hours helps a lot, AC fans on 10 - rh: 50-65% - temp: 65-74 - plants will just have to hold on and deal with the phosphorus deficiency until the weekend when they will be fed again - looks like the plant is recovering well, right now red/ purple stems are all that is an issue, and its even reverting back to green - plant still has some of the discolouration on leaves, some red/ purple stems, and light green new growth, - I will have to see about feeding and watering schedules Dec.19 - plant 1: - ph: 7.9 (3 moist) - plant2 - ph: 7.2 (5 moist) Dec.19 - plant 1: - ph: 7.9 (3 moist) - plant2 - ph: 7.2 (5- moist) Dec. 20 - plant 1 - ph: 8 - moisture: (4 dry) - plant 2 - ph: 7.9 - moisture: (3 dry- moist) - both plants will be watered today - both plants will have LST removed for watering - I think I will give another half dose of Big Bloom and Grow Big because the plants need it, but I will only give 1 gal each - the next watering will be without nutrients, just ph’d down to low 6’s - I want to start watering more often - Dehumidifier will be set up inside or outside the tent to keep humidity post-watering under control 45-55 rh% ideally - Plant 1 looks very thirsty, stems are thin and weak, old leave that have been dying are flaking to the touch, growth has a nice green colour though, just very thirsty and hungry - Some reddish purple stems, not sure if they are from the scraping of the plant ties, it kind of feels like they are based on where they are and the scratching type of discolouration but some are just clearly red / purple without scratches. Likely both occurring - Plant 1 also has more blotchy leaves that have progressively gotten worse, likely the deficiency from lack of nutes/ ph continually rising - Plant 2 still has the same issues but it’s older dead leave we’re already pruned - Plant 2 is not as under watered yet so less droopy leaves and less weak growth / stems - I pruned any tiny fan leaves on the bottom of the plant 1, several were dead, some flaking to touch, others dragging on the soil. Maybe 4 large ones and 4 small to tiny ones. - I obviously should have watered yesterday for plant 1, but its tough with a cast on my ankle, so I waited so I could do both today and now learned the signs of underwatering and feeding - 3.5gal (13L) of tap water - ph: 8.31 - add in 20ml of big bloom and 20 ml of grow big - ph: 7.15 - Add 3ml of apple cider vinegar - Ph: 7.01 - Add 6ml more - Ph: 6.81 - Add 3ml more - Ph: 6.74 - Add 3ml more - Ph: 6.6 - 3ml - Ph: 6.5 - 3ml - Ph: 6.35 13L total - wait (6.31) 11 9 7 6 4 2 2.5L more so that both plants have a decent run off (3 feeds with water in a row) - next watering will only have apple cider vinegar as ph down Runoff 3L Plant 1: ph5.4 Plant 2: ph4.8 Plant 1: Soil meter ph: 6.7 Plant 2: Ph: 6 - LST back on plant 2 but not plant 1 - Plant height is still 15 total inches, the soil is 6.5” height, and the plants height is right (8”) where I want the screen - I think I should probably let the plant grow a little, the place the screen over top - Plant 2 will need to be defoliated as it has trouble spreading - My LST is super rookie so it’s just bend it all away without proper technique or style, more or less - I have a decent feel for the LST right now but the screen will be new and much more awkward because of the space obstacles and my ankle problem - I want to get all remaining pruning done on plant 1, if any, this week and then allow it 1-2 more weeks to fully veg and cover much more room if possible - I hope to flip the lights at the end of week 9, and possibly end of week 8 if it is convenient Dec. 21 - plants look good, but lighter green on new growth, some old stem Redding and some old fan leave discolouration - Plant 1 is more light green inside and has higher ph soil that rises quickly - Some of the stems and leaves were very weak - I split the main stalk right at the main top by accident when I was re applying LST on plant 2, mini tie bandage solved it and it was easy - Both plants will have lots of healthy bud sites with their own space and I think the 4 SF 1000 will be plenttttty of light to cover all the edges - plant 1 had some light defoliation of older fan leaves, and very small leaves that had died near the main stem Plant 1 Ph: 7.2 Plant 2 Ph: 7 Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Dec. 23 Plant1: Ph: 7.1 Plant 2: Ph: 7 - plants look really good now, just a little too light green on new growth for me, but they handled the defoliation like a champ - Plant 2 has its stalk at about 75% healed maybe 2, max 3 days before its perfect again - Soil meter was just around 10, instead of off the scale, so I’m guessing in 3 days they can be watered, they handle the nutes very well, so I think I will feed also, just a gallon of water each with a normal dose. - I think I should place them on a diagonal to grow, it will let me access more of the plant, allow more room to fill out on the screen, and I will turn on an extra light or 2 in the last week of veg so everything is set up - I haven’t used the dehumidifier yet, and the humidifier has been off for at least a week and removed from the tent. - The humidity is very stable at around 60 - I’m hoping to put them into flower at the end of this week instead of next but we will see, I might as well go another extra week and maximize the exponential growth at this point... just getting impatient (and broke!) - I need to cover the zipper light leaks before I finish veg - Once flowering starts I don’t want week 2 to have humidity past 50% so the dehumidifier will likely need to be set up Dec. 24 Ph 1: 7 - moist 5/10 Ph2: 7.2 - moist (7/10) - Less light green on new growth, new fan leaves have exploded and its back to very bushy, very happy and healthy. - Plant 1 has much better root system as it drinks faster and dries out faster - I will water tomorrow, with 1 gallon + nutes 10ml of big bloom and big grow for each plant - Dec. 26 - Plant 1 - Ph: 7.9 - Moisture: 2 - Plant 2 - Ph: 7.9 - Moisture: 3 - plant 1 is suffering from the same red stems, dying leaves - Browning leaves is the main issue, likely just needs food - Plant 2 has similar but much lesser problems - - 3.5gal (13L) of tap water - ph: 8.31 - add in 30ml of big bloom and 30 ml of grow big - ph: 7.06 - Add 12ml of apple cider vinegar - Ph: 6.71 - Add 6ml more - Ph: 6.51 - Add 3ml more - Ph: 6.35 6.5L each over 6 waterings with a break in between 2L more each so that both plants have a decent run off (1.5L each) (4 feeds with water in a row) Runoff 3L Plant 1: ph5.6 Plant 2: ph 5.2 Dec. 27 Soil ph Plant 1: 7 Plant 2: 7 Apparently I broke a stalk on plant 1, I heard the sound before but didn’t realize that happened but it’s been taped and tied and seems to be perfectly fine. It would have only been 1 day Dec. 28 Soil ph: 1: 7 2: 7 Dec. 29 Ph 1: 7.3 (8 wet) Ph 2: 7.2 (10 wet) - plants placed diagonally - All 4 lights set up with 2 diagonally set on the timer for veg, the other 2 timer is set to OFF - Scrog lowered to 14” from floor which is 8” from soil - Plant is very bushy, leaves are very healthy, and will get watered in a few days (when moisture meter hits 4) - Dehumidifier set up outside tent, set to 35 rh, assuming that will correspond with a drop inside the tent to 40-50% post watering - Intake ducting has been taped to make the air inflow restricted (was 6” in diameter, now has only about 1.5”x1.5” hole) to create a slight negative pressure, so far it remains neutral, will monitor for at least 24H before slowly decreasing diameter of the hole - Need to fix zipper light leaks, thinking about using a fabric to drop over the zipper on the door side, that is the only concerned place for light leaks but don’t want to cause excess heat - The dehumidifier is heating up the room so the plants get closer to 80 which is actually better, but when 2 more lights come on and the blanket and the dehumidifier running all day and night it could get up to 85, which is still fine for the white widow seeds but not ideal Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Hello there. PH mal-adjustment with, what looks like, a P/Cal deficiency. I also used Ocean Forest in my first grow because the pre-nutrient amended soil was attractive to me, but it kind of hurt more then it helped. Same as you, I ran into almost constant pH problems when using OC and it frustrated me endlessly (ended up using a neutral soil for the last 2 gallons for last pot up). Good news, I wouldn't panic over this too much. Changes need to made, probably some trial and error, but they will come back. Red/purple stems can be a symptom of P deficiency but I see your night temps are around 19 degrees Celsius and could this can also change the colors of your stems, laterals and leaf veins. Copper spotting does not look like splash back to me at all. I feel you're looking at a phosphorous and calcium deficiency. The uptake of these nutrients is optimal at 6.2 and with the current swings in your pH (and also work in conjunction with one another), I don't think the plant is taking much of it up. You can give it as much as you'd like, but she just may not be having it. Suggested solution: (Same thing I did to mitigate and remedy the same symptoms) Next feed (or two) I would simply "flush through" a good amount of pH balanced water @ 6.2-6.4. I would not recommend over-compensating and feeding anything about 6.6 as this may fix one problem while creating another (possible lockout of other essential nutrients). In these "flush throughs" I add my phosphorus blooming supplement with cal/mag (Usually 3/4 dose. Trust your gut, though). This way, you can properly flush out excess salts/nutrients/developing pathogens while not starving her of the P and Cal she desperately wants right now. After a couple consecutive flush throughs, you should notice the pH start to balance itself out. When you return to normal feeding (if pH is back in order) I would also suggest watching how much Nitrogen supplementation you give the ladies. Micro nutrients that work along side Nitrogen, like zinc, copper and iron, can interrupt the uptake of P and Cal/Sulfur and keep the soil mal-adjusted (uptake of these nutrients is around 5.5-5.7). OC medium is hard to gauge when it comes to Nitrogen. It's highly amended with these macro/micro nutrients and can certainly cause trouble. There are no hard answers to this question, but rather a roadmap to possible remedies over time. Your girls will be just fine. Just need a little tweaking!👍 I hope this helped my friend. If this is the answer you're looking for there is no need to "pick" it. Remove the question and keep it for another day😉 (Weird how there's a time frame limitation to questions...I don't understand why). Cheers and good luck, no matter what course of action you take!!✊

Jan. 12 Ph: 7 (dry-moist) Plant 2 is showing some deficiencies but it is okay because both plants are very thick and bushy, despite being spread out through the SCROG Will water tomorrow and probably start some small pruning Jan. 13 Ph:7.5 Dry 2gal 6.5 ph 20ml big bloom + 10ml tiger bloom + 10ml grow big + 3ml apple cider vinegar - I lollipopped the lower 1/3 of everything, including a decent sized stem that was just not getting a chance to make it to the top - I also took off quite a few dying, dead, diseased fan leaves, at least 80% fell off on their own and there were only a few ones i really needed to snip, due to hanging very low, or just super bushy area - I should have done all this before flowering but I wanted to give all those areas a chance, but they didn’t make it overall - the plants are doing very well, look good, they have handled everything I have done to them remarkably well - I will be slowly starting to leave the canopy to do its own thing - it is very annoying and awkward to do anything under the screen, half of which is a ankle fresh out of surgery and the other half is just space - 3 plants under the screen in the 4x4 with 3 weeks of LST, topping, and then another few weeks of growing into the screen seems like it will be perfect for the space - We will still have to see about the smell issues, when I need to do stuff in the tent like water - I don’t want to be letting out too much smell, but it seems rather inevitable with this SCROG grow - I preferably would be able to just unzip, jump into the tent and zip up, but with the screen height and space, there is no way to do this Jan. 16 ph: 7.6 dry 4 gal 40ml big bloom 22ml tiger bloom 22ml grow big 18ml apple cider ph = 6.25 2.75L run-off ph 6.1 & 5.6 Lights wattage turned up 30+ watts total - bud sites are starting to form the hairs Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Jan. 20 Plants look really good, seem to have stopped stretching Ph: 7.8 Dry-moist I will water tomorrow when light come back on Jan. 21 Nice stretch last night from the big bud sites, stems feel very loose and weak compared to normal Very droopy under the screen but very few yellow leaves, most naturally fall off 1.75 gal of 6.3 Ph’d water for each plant no nutes (20ml of organic apple cider vinegar) jan. 22 ph. 7 moist Jan. 23 Ph: 7.4 Moist, close to dry lots of leaves continue falling off on their own, or are gentle touched and with the least amount of effort are “plucked” so easily, no cutting just a very gentle wiggle and they come offf, this happens much more in plant 1, plant 2 has some dry leaves that have burnt a bit and flake, but they are much stronger. each day i pull 5+ from each plant of dead leaves curled and shrivelled inside the bushy parts, or already dropped, but today there was more like 30 leaves, 90% from plant 1 (now on the right in all photos, since screen went down before flowering) organic blackstrap molasses is on the way, I think I will feed one last time with grow big, give them the last hit of nitrogen prolly then will leave it at just big bloom and tiger bloom, which appears to be necessary to the tiger feed. I will try to continue with every other watering method, and I will still go until 10-25% run-off when I feed, the other time will be ph’d molasses feed hopefully they will need it tomorrow, and if not the next day. both plants drinking roughly 3.5-4 gal a week now and look the healthiest they have been I will see about pruning under the screen, more lolipopping on lower third of stalk on day 21, which appears to be the last of the stretch, so far the surplus is already cut off from the plant as it knows best jan. 24 - pruned quite a bit off of plant 2, most of which was affected by wind damage or various burnt tips and yellowing - lights are at 20” from tallest colas right now, - raised the wattage to 90-80-60-90 = 320 watts Jan. 25 Top soil is dry and plant is ready for feed and water - 4 gal ph’d to 6.35 of water total with 40ml big bloom + 30ml of tiger bloom + 12ml of apple cider vinegar - run off 6.1 plant 2 and 6.4 plant 1 Jan. 26 - plants look amazing, only a couple yellow leaves in plant 1 - first tricoms appearing on plant 1 new growth fan leaves - ph: 7 Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Jan. 29 - ph: 7.8 - plant 2 has rusty edges, and burnt tips, I think it is because of ph fluctuations, but nutrient burn and light burn are possibilities - I just don’t know how it can be treated identical as plant 1 and both keep having issues, and take turns being afflicted - For this reason I always circle back to ph swings - i gave both plants combined 2.5 gal total, ph’d to 6.5 with 5 ml total of blackstrap molasses - the water was a bit warmer this time as I dissolved the 5ml of molasses in a 500ml glass of warm water - plant 2 seems a little unwell and has its leaves pointing up a little bit, whereas, plant 1 had its level - If any of these symptoms continue I will turn down the lights a little bit or more likely raise them up - humidity has been holding around40-50% steady for most of flowering - the temps have gotten a little lower recently during lights off at 65 and can get as high as 85 - these extremes only occur when, for the low of 65, the heat in the house drops to 66-67 while most people are asleep and the lights are off and also the heat vent into the room is closed, or the door to the room is open - the high of 85 only happens when I am working in the tent for a period of time, with the door closed in the room, and the lights on with the heat vent open coming into the room - overall, I am still very happy with the plants but this next week I think will be very important to ensure there is only one problem, the soil ph fluctuations - I will feed the same 40ml of big bloom, and 30 ml of tiger, and if the molasses seems to be helping, I may also add it into every feed jan. 30 - ph:7 - more light coloured leaves on plant 1 - both look great and getting hairier each day - moved lights up to 24” above canopy - kWh total usage to date (88 days) = 426.4kwh = 0.19 $/kwh =81$ - now cost is 0.10 $/kwh - 5$ per week on average - high usage of just under 700kwh - average is around 325kwh with lights on - Plant 2 is overly bushy right now, I’d normally selectively prune the 5 large fan leaves blocking quite a bit, however, there is some damage on those fans leaves from light burn or nutrient burn or ph fluctuations so I will just let them continue to either slowly die or bounce back before I prune but I think the stretch is very much over, there no more nitrogen coming in in significant amounts and it’s past 3 weeks. This means any pruning is absolutely final, and given the issues surrounding those leaves it’s possible that in 2 weeks those leaves fall off even - The intake fan on 10 (340 cfm -ducting and carbon intake ) is very powerful, especially because I restricted the intake ducting so instead of 6” it’s more like 1.5”x1.5” square allowing air in - This causes a negative pressure holding all smells inside, but the smells are not bad at all, why is this a problem because that concentrated wind coming in from the ducting is very strong, the angle I have it on now sends the air through the lower 1/3 but where it hits gets pretty bad wind damage - The area that is affected is rather small undergrowth that hasn’t had much of a chance from being blocked by the canopy and also it’s hitting old fan leaves that had damage already from fluctuation etc. - So it’s not much of a problem currently and won’t be changed in all likelihood for this grow - All in all the plants are doing great and hopefully not much more than 4 weeks to go before I chop - I guess that means in about 2-3 weeks I’ll be getting ready to flush 0” - 11” milk crate 11” - 17” soil 17” - 25” stalk 25” screen 32” canopy (ideal) - (32” currently) - plant height = 15” - 55” canopy height max potential 56” - light height - 24” gap for lights 56” - 70” gap between lights and tent ceiling Jan. 31 - ph: 7.5 - plants are good, same issues are present but under control - buddy getting very nice - plant 2 is getting a little darker in color and bunchier, I’m just waiting to see if the leaves have any more issues before i prune - soil is still very moist, next water probably on sunday feb 2, - ph. 7.8 - dry - continued yellowing on plant 1, only on a handful of leaves and everything else is great - continued “rusting” / browning around the tips of plant 2 - both plants have a lot of tips just the very tip burnt and curling up, but the vast majority of the leaf is not burnt - 4 gal of 6.35 ph’d water + 40 ml of big bloom + 24 ml of tiger bloom + 13ml of apple cider vinegar - run-off occurs with 1 gallon left, just a thin layer - 2.25L of run-off - plant 1 ph 6.5 run off - plant 2 ph 6.15 run off Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower (320 watts - 90-80-60-90 back left, back right, front left, front right) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. feb 3. - both plants’ problems are increasing, - the problems are a combination of varying degrees in both plants of nutrient burn, light stress, and soil ph imbalance - i turned down the lights 40 watts today (jan. 23 they were increased 40, now its reversed) - wattage from 90-80-60-90 = 320 watts - now wattage is 80-70-50-80 = 280 watts - not much I can do about the ph soil issues unless i flush but since I’m flushing in a couple weeks I might as well wait - nutrient burn is basically the same - lets just hope these issues don’t hurt the yield too much feb. 6 ph: 8 dry 3 gallons + 15ml blackstrap molasses + 15ml of big bloom + 15ml of tiger bloom + 10ml of apple cider vinegar = ph: 6.5 - plants look great, stunted growth on plant 2 has finished and its back to growing and packing on size for buds humidity is in the 40s and temps are in daytime 70s and night-time 65-70 feb. 6 ph: 8 dry 3 gallons + 15ml blackstrap molasses + 15ml of big bloom + 15ml of tiger bloom + 10ml of apple cider vinegar = ph: 6.5 - plants look great, stunted growth on plant 2 has finished and its back to growing and packing on size for buds humidity is in the 40s and temps are in daytime 70s and night-time 65-70 Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower (280 watts - 80-70-50-80 back left, back right, front left, front right) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Feb. 17 Ph 7.5 Moist - plucked all the bad leaves that were ready - Removed all the dead leaves - 3 gal of water ph of 6.4 + 15 ml big bloom + 20 ml tiger bloom + 9ml apple cider vinegar + 30ml blackstrap molasses unsulphured - Light burn seems to be the #1 problem, then ph fluctuations and nutrient burn - I think i held the measuring cup a little awkward most feedings instead of having it on a level surface and I probably overfed by 5ml each time - Most of the bottom leaves are green but have burnt tips, they are usually pretty attached - the middle section has lots of dead leaves but they are tiny little ones that have burnt and fallen off - the top leaves are all yellow on plant 1, with burnt tips, clawing up, very red stems, and are fairly easy to pluck off, not much effort on most - the most green areas are semi-shaded and off on the edges of the tent, and all the shaded areas remained green - Therefore, I would say my #1 problem was light burn, which made the ph fluctuations worse, nutrient deficiencies worse, and i over compensated and did not measure precisely causing nutrient burn - there is also some wind burn on the bottom areas - all in all the buds are developing nicely and bulking up decent amounts on plant 1, especially with all the topping - good trichomes coming out - plant 2 has different light burn but the leaves are praying up, and pointing up much more, more rusting also but they are not easy at all to pull off - the buds on plant 2 are also not growing nearly as well but the trichomes seem nicer and it seems to have more - the buds hopefully are more dense despite being small, they do look compact though - roughly 100 bud sites visible from the top of the canopy feb. 18 - ph. 7.2 - the clawing up and yellowing and burning of the tips has continued, likely past problems continuing to persist - these problems really only exist on the top set of leaves, which always brings me back to light burn - plucked another 10-15 clawed and burnt leaves from plant 1 - the buds got bigger, and the trichomes continue to pack on - seeing more promising growth/ recovery from plant 2 - trichomes appear to be quite clear, no signs of amber - The crop king seeds guide suggests 8 weeks of flowering time, we are a couple days into week 7 right now but the pistils are still about 60% white and somewhat straight, and the trichomes are quite clear. This would lead me to believe about 2 full weeks is left and likely closer to 2.5 weeks. - Trying to plan out my flush, leaving me a full 7-10 days to have the plants finish their nutrients, that flush would best occur at the mid point next week - I am expecting the trichomes to be cloudy by mid week 8, around feb. 25, I would flush them, and look to harvest 7-10 days later, around mar. 4-8 feb. 19 - ph 6.8 - moist - definitely bulked up more, plant 2 is back and growing strong, damage on top canopy continues to burn and curl, yellowing a growing splotchy brown spots, but I am very confident that this is past damage from light burn which has since been fixed by dropping the watts down by 140 - more pistils are going orange feb. 20 - buds fatting up really nice Feb. 21 - Daytime temps reduced to low 70s feb.22 - ph. 7.5 - moist - will water tomorrow - trichomes not yet fully cloudy - mostly orange pistils - mostly curled inward pistils, lower down popcorn still white and straight - excellent trichomes on plant 2 - will feed tomorrow then I expect the next thing will be to flush so this will likely be the last feed - daytime temps now 70-77 - nightime 65 +/-1F feb. 23 - plants look very thirsty, leave shriveling from before but hanging down and not perky at all - Dirt is very dry, moisture meter reads moist 5/10 - Ph: 7.6 - The plant is very hungry - Some noticeable stretching or just more visible now - Buds look to continue getting fatter and look really nice - 4 gal of water ph = + 22ml of big bloom + 30ml of tiger bloom + 30ml of blackstrap molasses + 9ml of apple cider vinegar - plucked more super dead leaves - Expected dates: - feb. 25 (week 8) - expected cloudy trichomes: - feb. 25 (week 8) - expected flush date: - feb. 25 - expected harvest date - mar. 4-8 Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower (190 watts - 50-40-50-50 back left, back right, front left, front right) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Hello, If you want to go with drytrimming you need a very good well areated place with a good tempeature and RH to let them dry ( for example on a clothes rack in your living room). If you dont have such a good place or dont want to use your living room😃. Then its better to cut in branches and get them a good wet trim, and hang them . In 95 percent i go with wet trimming. Its some work , but absolutely worth. And you can use the suagrleaves to do some butter, oil, shatter anything you like. I even keep fanleaves to make smoothies ( just pick them and freeze them to store) the ugliest leaves it put to my compost.. or into my wormfarm.. so i dont throw away anything. The stalk and branches get sheddered and go to compost too

Estimated day of harvest = Mar. 12 @6:45 Electricity usage and average cost so far 700 kW x $0.186 / kWh = $130 Mar. 9 - one mini fan broke, it was just off and when i tried to turn it on it made a grinding noise while barely spinning. Called the store who sold it to me and they will replace it no questions asked. Still plenty of airflow between inline fans, 1 mini fan and dehumidifier Mar. 10 - still cloudy trichomes, a small amount are still moderately clear, others have hints of amber, but very few - temp still 72 with lights out, 77 lights on, rH 35% - buds got taller and bigger since the last water / mini flush - lower leaves are fading nicely, lots of yellowing starting from the smaller older and moving up Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for veg - 4x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED for flower (190 watts - 50-40-50-50 back left, back right, front left, front right) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients. Its my first time I grew anything. It went very smooth even with a broken ankle. Strain took any and all abuse extremely well. SCROG, LST, Topping all went really well but i didn't have a great shape or structure in the SCROG. just tucked any open space without much planning. getting around the hard to reach places was super rough and neck/back/knee breaking. I struggled to get the proper wind on the leaves, or at least I could have lessened the wind burn. The clip on fans were good but annoying to place, and unreliable at holding their position because of tent negative pressure, their poor design and the space confinements. I left a lot of genetic potential as it was my first grow and I was not smooth. Overall very very happy with the 210+g at harvest, very happy with the flush results, and very happy with the harvest window I chose (2 weeks past guidelines but 1 week away from end of window (week 10 of flower). I tried smoking the wet bud, it was disgusting and pointless. I tried basically every day the worst quality popcorn buds that had yet to dry, they were moving from disgusting to just flat out terrible, to not the worst, to just bad, and then finally after 2 weeks they didnt taste good but were just low quality bush. After week 1 of the cure the bud was neutral. and after 2 weeks of cure the bud was very smooth. Now into a full month of cure the bud tastes smooth and is nice. As far as smell goes, when I harvested it was pure jet fuel. It reeeeeeeaked like cleaning product, really diesel and extremely pungent. It would tickle inside your noise and feel like punch in the face. Now that its cured properly it lost a lot of that almsot burning pungent feel inside the noise and just smells like good weed aka gas.
