Smell/Taste/Effects: Cheese, Pepper, and Citrus aromas when you grind up the flower. Delicious flavour in the vaporizer. Almost like a peppercorn parmesan with some grapefruit zest. Super mellow effects which is exactly what I was hoping for. Functional high from the THC, and the CBD is incredible for relaxation and sleep. The high will last anywhere from 1.5-2 hours, and then its bed time 😴. Growing: The strain was a bit finicky to grow. If you check out the other diaries on this strain you'll notice a lot of other growers ran into mold and bud rot. I grew 2 plants outside last summer and both developed bud rot as well. For that reason I'd steer clear of this strain if you want to grow outside and live in a humid area. Based on what i've seen in other diaries, the flowers that this strain produces tend to be airy. The best buds my plants produced (colas) were definitely a bit airy, but I'm sure a more experienced grower would have been able to grow denser buds. Overall: Great strain if your #1 priority is a mellow nighttime medicine. If you're looking for a hardy strain that produces a high yield of dense and potent buds, I'd look elsewhere. 8/10

Reviews. Nutrient
Gave me peace of mind. May have used more than I needed in soil.
I don't know which was too low: 1) The PH in my soil, or 2) the dosages I was using for the base nutrients (1-3 ml/l). Either way I had some issues with deficiencies. Hard to say whether flawless finish helped with the flush/flavour, but I've heard nothing but great things and I have no complaints with the end result.
This stuff worked great. I may have overused it (every ~6-7 days), but more didn't seem to hurt.
Reviews. Lamp
Worked great for <$200 light from amazon. Based on the coverage area (3x3) and light intensity, this light will get the job done in a smaller tent. Just make sure you have enough height in your tent because if ever the light was closer than 18" from the tops of the plants, they would starting showing signs of light stress. All in all, far from perfect but for what you pay its a decent value.

After 7 days of drying I trimmed and jarred the last of the 3 plants. Here are the final numbers: Blanche = 39.4 g of buds & 72.5 g of larf Pinky = 43.7 g of buds & 58.1 g of larf Bleu = 65.6 g of buds & 49.1 g of larf Total = 148.7 g of buds & 179.7 g of larf = 328.4 g Thank you to anyone who has been following along, and thank you to all of the more experienced growers who helped out whenever I posted questions. My first "grow" was outside last summer, but I had to cut the plants down at least a month early due to bud rot. This first full grow indoors was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life and I definitely want to pursue the hobby further. I've learned more about horticulture in the past 6 months than I had my entire life up to that point. There is something extremely gratifying about growing your own medicine from seed and if you're interested in giving it a try, I hope you track and post your experience here on grow diaries so I can follow along.

I’m running a viparspectra 600W reflector series LED 30 inches above these seedlings with only the veg lights turned on. The seeds went in the water 14 days ago and my question is: when should I turn on the bloom lights as well?

If you want tight internodes and keep her short and squat. Use the veg switch only. But if you want more vigorous growth with a little stretch I recommend using both switches. And if you pick option one you can keep veg switch on till week 3 of flower then turn both switches on. This will keep those internodes tight set you up with some nice dense bud.

Nute Burn Plan. Lower light to 24 inches and turn on bloom switch. Flush soil with 8 litres of water (PH 6.5) per pot. Questions: will increasing the intensity of light increase plants ability to absorb nutrients, or simply stress them more? Is 8L water/ 10L pot enough to flush?

@MediciGrade Dont lower your lights as the extra heat will only add to the stress of a nutrient toxicity. Do your plain water flush until the runoff ppm is back to wherever it was before you overfed.

Bleu (largest of the 3 plants) is ~14 days behind the other 2. Is such a variance in size & rate of maturation common when growing from seed? Does LST/HST amplify the differences between phenotypes? She's so tall I'm worried about light stress. Should I reduce the light schedule?

Reduce the light and you will reduce your yield. LST and hst will amplify nothing , it will keep them shorter and will allow you to build a shape but will not reduce the way they are growing , a tall plant remains tall and a short plant remains short , you can manage the height and size but that's all. From seed you have different type of shape , smell and colours due to the multiples phenotypes available, you make your selection to keep a clone and maybe creating a clone only strain ( I am calling it a clone only phenotype , a strain is not a cutting )

Brown spots and yellowing pictured above. My best guess is a Cal/Mag deficiency. Was feeding Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus at 1 ml/l up until ~2 weeks ago (friend has been watering while I was out of town). Before I feed her, any advice on what the problem is and how to correct it?

I think this is down to the pH being slightly low, try to increase it to 6.5 and flush as budx says. It could be pests so check under the leaves very closely for any evidence... I hope its the first issue. 🌱😁

Flushing in fabric pots is not to easy, because tey keep everything very well inside. because of theis you will have to let them dry ( bottom area) before you get them back in the box. I put my plants for a nicht on a grid lot let them drip out

@Mrs_Larimar, Great point! I hadn't thought about that. I'll have to figure out a way to elevate them from their saucers and direct airflow underneath the pots.

10L of plain water in a 10L pot, is enough if the soil isn’t too dry. Just make sure there’s about 7L to 8L from the drain. Water should be clear and clean at the end of flushing.
