first diarie for me as well as my first grow ever
ACMPR patient! i went hydro rdwc wish me luck and dont be shy to leave comment.
seed in water ph adjusted to 5.8
water temp 22 degrees rdwc system breaking in no leaks so far 350 gallons inline pump 2 inch pvc pipping 5 gallons square bucket 6 inch net pot 4 inch airstone with 1050 litres of air per hour. day 2 all 5 seed have taproot! i switched them to root plug back in the tray now waiting for them to emerge before i turn on my t5.day 3 im seeing 2 of them reaching out already 12 hour after transfer from towel to rapid root plug will update during the day as situation evolve .day 4 all of them seem to do fine they are about 2 cm high waiting for shell to fall off i moved them under my 350 watts led at 40 inch for today ill be lowering the light tomorow to 36 inch im also using yeast in hot water with sugar under the dome for co2. im also cycling rdwc with connoisseur A+B voodoo juice and b-52 at 300 ppm untill i drop them into system in 2 days or so.day 4 shell fell off just before light shut down.Day 6 i added a reverse osmosis system to my reservoir because of city buffer into water i had too since ph wouldnt go downwas 8.0 good thing i was cycling system a week prior to introducing plants also i had a power outage for 3 days so i had to transfer seedling to friend house since temps droped below 17 degres celcius its getting cold in quebec also started feeding b-52 to seedlings 0.3 ml per quart i can see roots at botom of root plug i might do system flush tomorow and intoduce plants. day7 they are now into the rdwc system they seem to like it im using 200 ppm onto the next week!
after 2 weeks use 1/2 of the nute then you can add to voodoo juice and b-52) and connoisseur A+B during vegging but instead b52 use (sea food extract ) it is organic not b52 and connoisseur A+B is good but i would replace whit tarantula instead so voodoo juice /tarantula/piranha
might be discontinue then i use B1 super max for sea food extract all this in air-rated water
week 2 day 3. maybe 200 ppm is a bit too much im actualy seeing tip burn on 2 of them i might remove 50 % water and add reverse osmosis water tomorow to lower nute concentration to around 100 will see how night goes.did the 50% water change and readjusted ph now everything looks fine. also iv lowered water level to 1 inch above bottom of net pot to promote more root growth i need to buy a par meter asap im scared to lower my veg led lower.some little issue with minor tip burn maybe from stress from power outtage or potassium deficiency from nutrient lock out ph went to 6.7 for a day cant get it stable so far.seems like ph as finaly settle down go check my video from grow room.2 of them are doing really well but 2 are in bad shape newbie mistake my ph pen was way out of range went to 4.8 for 2 days i calibrated it 2 days ago flushed system and ran revive only for 2 days ph has been spot on at 5.8 since flushed again yesterday and started adding nutrient back in very low dose 1/4 strenght plants now seems to thrive as roots entered the system today they already are like 6 inch long light just shut off i might do another foliar spary with revive and sensi cal mag extra and wet betty to help with damaged leafs from bad ph pen mistake next week if they have not fully recovered already in case 1 of them does not make it i have a spare 1 growing in coco whos ready to drop in system im still learning feel free to leave comments
im having some ph swing using 1/2 nute should i use more nute?water changes with rodi system no improvement connoisseur A+b,voodoo,piranha,b52 ph will rise up to 6.7 even with ph down.suspecting potassium deficiency from nutrient lockout plants show a little tip burn
First I wouldn't be using all that at this stage u gonna have major problems and shes not locked out if she would be locked out u wouldn't see a nute deficiency u overwhelming her from wat u pumping in here in hydro your nutrient in take is alot faster I say go down to 1/4 if anything your plant will still uptake in the 6 ph range I've grew one out without ever checking for a Myth Buster type grow and watch the ph up and down additive it's not good for your plant if u use to much are on a regular basis cut back on the nutes and she should shake back 👍👍👍
ok i finally pinpointed the problem with my plants it was wind burn the 3 plant closest to the fan where moving a lot i thought i was helping them but leaf where curling like crazy i moved the fan away and now they are recovering also i added a humidifier before using it humidity was a 35% now its at 60% since i flushed system yesterday ill be waiting till next week for next flush lets cross finger and hope everything goes well this week prolly lost a week trying to find problem i thought it was a nutrient deficiency at first since wind burn was pretty bad and some leaves had spot from too much wind.full system flush today gonna run reverse osmosis ph water for 1 hour into rdwc then flush again and add nutrient.sometime less is better i went smooth on nutes for this week.switched to 600 watts 6100k plants are much more happy.
this week is a bit frustrating im having some small issue with root rot im off to the store to buy some drip clean from house and garden and ill be doing a water change today i will also topped them after fourth set of leaves day 7 system flush and cleaned. adjusted ppm to 750 i will be using sterile rez from now on as i dont want to battle with pythium. added drip clean and peroxide 30% as suggested by my local hydro store now water looks pristine onto week 5 tomorow.

this week is doing fine watching them grow after last week F.I.M and topping they look healthy and are recovering from past root rot problem for me calcium hypochlorite and blanking the bucket with thermal reflective material saved my grow and after all im not adding more chlorine than regular tap water since im using reverse osmosis keep your roots healthy and is basically the same as UC roots
should i start using first layer of scrog this week im planning on using 2 layers wait till next week?feel free to leave any other comments regarding grow 😀
Hello I would wait another week or so some of those branches are pretty short still . If you know you have the room keep growing them out and add net next week , they look healthy you also need to remember some strains do not like training like that if your tucking branches .. good set up lots of room to work with ...what light you gonna use for flowering the girls ..?
this week should be my last veg week before the great darkness haha hopefully they keep stretching during the week they are looking amazing today house and garden are amazing in hydro Van De Zwaan! whatever that mean haha

wassup everyone thanx for showing interest in my first grow adventure this week new additive bud xl we are 2 month away from harvest and the plants are looking amazing kolas are starting to form and there is a shitload of them since i vegged them for 3 month they are nute hungry especialy cal mag hungry i guess cookies goes well with calcium since we dip them in milk😂
im using bud factor X and big bud from advanced nutrient with bud xl from house and garden everything seems fine what you guys think about it should i cut big bud from the recipe everything seems fine so far feedback on this subject or anything related will be apreciated😃
As long as your ec/ppm is not too high when using them together & if you are using them at the right moment then you can continue to mix them together. Just watch your plants during the next days or weeks to see a kind of excess or deficiency
hi everyone welcome to the cookie show the buds are fattening up and this week its time for top booster from house and garden they should gain even more weight i had to dim the light to 600 watts the tops are getting too close 12 inch from reflector i might have to modify bracket from reflector to gain additional 5 inch will see if they get too much light but for now they look fine
week 7 of flo decided to go for another week of top booster since last week was a mess i had to redo entire scrog and modify light bracket to gain height since top leaves were getting burned a lot but now im back at full power hid 1000 watts i also added a nutrient back up reservoir so my ph and ppm stay constant during all week. 4 more weeks to go cant wait to try those nuggets!😄
the ladies did a good job this week they now deserve a break ill go low on ppm 700 for 2 weeks then they will be ready for shooting powder have a nice happy grow week everyone😀!day 4 of week 19 im suspecting nutrient lockout as plant wont take more than 600 ppm maybe 2 weeks of top booster was too much should have sticked with recipe im flushing them for 24 hour in ro water to remove excess salt then ill be back at normal i really had to flush them before next week cuz its top shooter time and that stuff is strong.
this week my plants will get their fix of powder as im introducing shooting powder for the next 4 week they grow slow but they grow steady the smell is amazing ill post more update later after im done with the flushing
last week of flowering everything looks good fresh nutes shooting powder and all the bell and whistle next week ill be flushing and then harvest the colas are frosty as hell caked to the bone enjoy the pictures😀going to flush today they are more than ready and havent really grown during last week i gave them flawless finish ill be waiting 72 hours since its faster in hydro will add picture once im done with curing cya guys and girl in 1 week😁
week 12 last week of the grow i already harvested top colas as they where more than ready im giving 1 more week so bottom can mature a bit more before harvest ill post picture of the harvest and cured product when ready
finally i can smoke my own medicine my first grow even tho i planned everything for a year before doing it and getting all the permits from government not everything went as planned im still happy from the result rdwc diy and 6 month grow on first attempt i think i can be proud=) the buds hit like a truck and are frosty taste like pine pepper and berry this strain is known to be between 25 and 27% thc and boy you can feel it thanx everyone for the help along the grow i really appreciated im a bit sad this is over after 6 month this summer i will be growing outdoor and doing more diaries and i will also be building my grow room 2.0😄
I start feeding on day 3. At 1/4 dose. They don't need much food the first couple weeks so always go as light as possible on your nutrients. You can always add a little more nutrients but can't repair burned leaves. good luck!
Pretty impressive setup and detailed journal for a first attempt. Good luck with your grow. I wouldn't put any nutes in for the first two weeks, quarter strength for the next two weeks, and half strength for two more weeks before adding the full recommended dose.
I agree with the OP - you need a way to manage your nutrient solution temperatures. I would recommend 66 to 69 degrees F (18.9 to 20.5 degrees Celsius)
And yes 5.7 to 5.9 pH is ideal for Hydroponics but you do have some wiggle room.
Chillers can be expensive, until you are able to acquire one, You can utilize products like "UC ROOTS" or "Watermax" or other products that contain Hypochlorous Acid which increases the ORP value of your Nutrient solution and makes it more Bacterial Static.
Your air pump is a good size at 16 liters per minute for your approximate recirculating volume of about 20 gallons.
You may need to consider adding more Opacity to your grow modules to seal out light infiltration within your root zone, otherwise it looks like you are ahead of the game for a first time Hydroponic grow.
