It's now the end of week 2 and over these days i've seen significant growth and even more resiliency with early transplants of the two plants into larger 2 gallon fabric pots. They're both showing nice growth especially one that has been stacking a couple nodes really great. I wish I could say the same with the other which has been growing a little slower than the other phenotype but i'm not too worried because even though it's been taking its time spreading its first few leaves, the color is phenomenal with slight purple colors in the middle and symmetrical growth. I was hoping to transplant them towards the end of week 2 but around a few days prior, I noticed that the roots have grown so much after i have given them nutrients on their first week after sprouting almost as if they were looking for air so I thought it was time for an early switch to bigger spaces AND an extra element I will be adding in its feeding. I have done a little research on which nutrients will help with the plants structure to combat with uncontrollable problems like temperatures, humidity, mold, and pests so I wanted to introduce potassium silicate to their nutrient feeding which helps with plant cell wall growths for stronger and thicker stems that makes it more resistant to most growth issues, and perhaps with pH as well but don't take my word for it, speaking which I have risen the pH to another .6 so the silicon can be absorbed with the other nutrients along the spectrum of elements that the potassium silicate can actually promote in nutrient intake. Anyways I will continue to add silicon until at least the week before harvest and hopefully it will lead to higher yields since the bigger stems will allow for more consumption of nutrients, can't wait until the end of week 3 to see the progress!
Congrats on the successful harvest. Those are some beautiful buds. Been sitting on a few packs of these but after seeing this I may need to bust them open. Nice work my friend.
Hello my friend I have a question what week did your gelat OG plants start producing trichomes? I’m currently in flower week 4 and I have NO trichromatic production
@Gutismoke102, Hello buddy, sorry i took too long to respond, i'm starting a new grow this year and just logged in after a long time. You should start to get trichome production around that week if not later, if not then I suggest giving your plant more bloom nutrients to speed up flower maturity, best of luck!
@JohnnyLong, thanks for the heads up but theres no option to list a switch to 12/12 as a technique, yet oddly I can list it on a separate week log, so thats what it means..
