Welcome back guys to the start of week 10, to cap off last week I upgraded the tent with a brand new dehumidifier, lollipopped them, and as well as remove some stems that wouldn't grow as much under the main canopy and produce me some larfy buds towards harvest. The humidity from last week had significantly dropped from around 70% to around 48-54% which was great news, and the temperature has also dropped to where i wanted to the most 78 degrees and 68 at night, at which the cold temps will help give the plants great dark purple color that i'm noticing now on the new tiny leaf blades on the growing bud sites. Speaking of which have grown so fast over the week and I believe will be growing a bit taller and fatter as I make some changes to the light spectrum in the coming week so it gets enough reds for flowering and blues to control height. I still have a little less than 2 feet of space between the light and top canopy so growth won't be a problem- for now.
A little before the week ended, I did its first of 2 last major defoliation since it's gotten so bushy with its fan leaves covering a lot of the smaller bud sites on the larger plant that now most bud sites are exposed to air and light and can be left alone until hopefully harvest if they don't run into light problems. The smell has been getting more stronger in terms of inside the tent but some of it has been leaking out of the tent so I've been thinking of investing on odor neutralizer gel if the smell gets out of hand outside the tent since i'm trying to grow discreetly from my neighbors and roommates. For feeding I will actually be continuing the same amount of nutrients in its feeding for another week but will give it plain pH water in between those feedings. They've been getting thirsty now that i've had to water them at least 2-3 times a week rather than just once or maybe twice when it was just vegging so for this week i'll be giving them a nutrient feeding, then plain pH, and then a final nutrient feeding before I make changes to lower nutrients into mid flower. I still have some stems training and I think I'll be leaving some tied down and releasing some as well once they've reached a point where I feel they will probably get light and air without blocking any other growths without tying them down. OK see yall next week!
Congrats on the successful harvest. Those are some beautiful buds. Been sitting on a few packs of these but after seeing this I may need to bust them open. Nice work my friend.
Hello my friend I have a question what week did your gelat OG plants start producing trichomes? I’m currently in flower week 4 and I have NO trichromatic production
@Gutismoke102, Hello buddy, sorry i took too long to respond, i'm starting a new grow this year and just logged in after a long time. You should start to get trichome production around that week if not later, if not then I suggest giving your plant more bloom nutrients to speed up flower maturity, best of luck!
@JohnnyLong, thanks for the heads up but theres no option to list a switch to 12/12 as a technique, yet oddly I can list it on a separate week log, so thats what it means..
