Holmes grows Gelat.OG by Seedsman

Welcome to week 7 and to recap from last week, the smaller and slower growing plant has fully recovered from the snapped branch I had accidentally trained too hard and is utilizing the space left by bending other branches in its place. The other faster growing plant has been excelling fast as usual and have both been defoliated from time to time, it's been defoliated less and less though throughout the week since it has grown in height enough for air under the canopy to breeze right through, as well as have each major nodes to be exposed to enough light to spread. There is actually not much to cover this week except an upgrade in its irrigation system, change in pH, and watching it grow and recover from a week of mid to heavy defoliation. I might leave them alone in terms of defoliation a long with some light retraining of branches as space becomes less of an issue this week For the irrigation system I have bought a couple of shut off valves because i've noticed each plant needed to be fed more often than the other sometimes so watering both wouldn't work if one doesn't need to be watered. I found the valves at my local hardware store which can easily be found in most gardening sections but you can also find them on amazon for cheap, it helps a lot because i found myself unplugging the hoses and using my thumb to plug one of the flows which was hassling and nerve wrecking because it was so close to very fragile leaves when forcing hoses out the plugs. The pH might be a bit high for this late into veg so i'll be lowering it to 6.1 from now until late flower so more proper nutrients can now be absorbed for recovery in time for the transition. Now that they both grew back that extra inch they lost from a couple weeks ago and has spread more evenly throughout the tent, I decided to take the tupperware risers from underneath and rotated the smaller plant so the other plant can also use that empty space where the snapped branch used to be, and to let one part of the plant that's lacking in height to stretch out more in the light. The light is now about 19" away from the canopies and is now focusing on all parts of the tent which will prepare the ladies next week when i decide to start flowering them. Nutrients will stay the same until next week but I will be changing it again to smaller doses to get ready to pre flower and the final stretch. I will be buying another light to replace the budget friendly 300w Vivosun grow light to one that can cover both plants evenly and have veg/bloom light switches that i'll be needing as soon as it starts to flower.
