Plant has started to grow faster, some bud sites have pistils growing. Leaf growth is a bit out of control, gave up trying to tie branches down with zip ties.
Smell is starting to get very strong, most bud sites now have pistils growing. Raised lights again, some leaves were starting to show heat/light stress.
Plant is growing very fast, pistils are appearing everywhere and smell is very strong too. Top colas are stretching towards the light a lot, have to raise the light almost everyday.
I was very busy this week before vacations so I did not have time to take pictures, only have one with light on sorry :( The Royal Cookie is growing very fast, I had to adjust the light twice this week. It's drinking a lot of water, aroung 1 liter a day.
Just came back from vacation, decided to take both plants out and take some pics :) The plant was taken care by a friend that started giving it the full dose of nutrients before the water only week, which is supposed to be in two weeks but will probably take a few more days. Plant is almost a meter now and bud sites are growing everywhere, very happy with how the plant looks :D
The plant is looking better every day :) according to the RQS website this is the last week, but I will give it a couple more weeks. The buds are growing like crazy, I think it is going to give more than the 50g RQS claims
Week 10! This week the Royal Cookies reached 1 meter :) this week is supposed to be harvest week but I'm going to leave it a few more days at least, I do not have a loupe but I will get one asap and I'll try to take some pictures.
I am just waiting on the pistils to get amber so I can cut her down. She is two weeks over the time it says on the RQS page. Going to start giving it just water soon
This is the last week, I stopped feeding the plants, the leaves have started to yellow but that is normal towards the end. I am planning on cutting it next weekend. Really excited to see the wet weight. Sorry about the pictures with lights, forgot to take some more and those are all I have
Really easy to grow, stretches out nicely and did really well with the LST, all the main colas were about the same size and height. Didn't have any issues at all except for a little burning on the tips. The smell is amazing, very earthy and sweet. It gives a smooth relaxed high, not too strong but enough to have a fun night :)
I harvested a little later than what I wanted (1 Feb 2020), but I think it was worth it as I was aiming for 100g wet and I got around 131g.
*Edit* It was been 3 days and the buds are still pretty wet, I have a heater on to try and bring humidity down.
**Edit** Two weeks have passed and I decided to put it in jars. It is still a bit humid but it has lost more than half the weight so there shouldn't be any issues. The smell is amazing and it tastes just as good. Amazing clear high, doesn't knock you out but gives a nice soft punch xD
Congratulations! But do not try to hurry the drying process by using some heater, as this negatively affects smell, taste and even potency. It is quite normal that after three days the buds are still wet. It takes 5 to 10 days for drying. The slower, the better. Some people even increase humidity in order to slow down the process!
@SirTrollington, I understand. Meanwhile I think you have only limited influence on humidity and mold. Last year I had a grow where one of the plants caught mold during flower. The affected bud was one of the top ones, the humidity was quite low and airflow was perfect. The other plants were totally crowded, but temperature and humidity should have been an invitation for mold, but nothing happened. Even during the drying humidity sometimes went up to 80% and my attempts to correct this with a dehumidifier failed miserably. Wet air was coming in all day long and in the end I was just wasting energy and had increased temperature. So meanwhile I more or less gave up on trying to control the humidity. Genetics seems to be the deciding factor. Of course high humidity will increase the risk for catching mold, but there is absolutely no guarantee that even with good conditions you are safe. If you find the silver bullet for this problem, let me know 😑
@Buddha2, Thank you! I'm using the heater because I have high humidity and I'm afraid it might lead to mold forming. I'm drying in the grow tent and the heater is outside the tent. Do you have any suggestions to avoid mold?
Hi @Dralph87, I do what is on the BioBizz feeding chart. These are my 3rd and 4th grows, all using the BioBizz nutrients and BioBizz LightMix soil and I have no complaints so far.
The chart does limit to 1ml/L of BioGrow if you are using AllMix soil, so if you are using other soils then it's probably better to cut off.
