First grow was White Widow 7 x 2 gallon pots. No training. 6.5oz. Varied strength. Second grow was White Widow 3 x 5 gallon pots. Heavy training. 7.5oz. Consistent good strength. Nothing knockout. This grow will be Gorilla Glue 4 x 4 gallon pots. Hopefully improving further on the last two. The 4 gallon pots fit into the 2x2 foot space with much more room around them. The 5 gallon ones were snug together at four in. I want to ensure airflow around them this time so they dry out. The mould started to appear around the bases last time. I wanted 4 plants so popped 5 seeds into water. Nothing really happened for a few days. So I put them in tissue. Only 2 sprouted. I put them in seedling pots and put another two straight into the soil. They both sprouted. That is 4 from 7. Not good. I have best luck going straight to soil so far. This is probably my last grow before I pack up for a few months. If all 4 plants had flowered last time I would have had a 10oz harvest. Enough to cover 2 grow cycles. No topping the autos now. Just LST and a constant PH. Serious this time.

3 weeks I had every intention of keeping up with the diary this time. But third time round I got lazy. Christmas and a few birthdays distracted me as well. I was going to train them and defoliate. But in the end I just let them go. I’ve watered, fed and that is pretty much it. I am actually 8-9 weeks in at the point of writing this week. But I took these photos back in December so I’ll post them to the right week for continuity. At this point there was a visible difference, of at least two weeks, between the first and last plants to germinate. It will make it difficult to do a single harvest. Foliar spraying and feeding with ph reduced water at this stage. I was planning to begin LST any day but just never did.

I have done only two things in this grow. Fed them every few days and raised the lights as they grew. I did bend & tie two of the tallest stalks down at one stage when I ran out of height. Other than that I haven’t visited them much at all. So not serious. Only issue I have encountered is some rust colouration on my upper most leaves, where they get too close to the center of the lights. Happened last time to the stretchy plant. I won’t worry about it too much. But the general burnt leaf tips are a worry. Maybe too much nutes lately. I have just switched to ph 6 water only for a few days. Pretty close to flushing anyway. Pistols are 0-20% brown, but starting to change fast. Trichomes are still clear. Guessing which week I am currently in for the sake of the diary. Really I’m just watching the buds now. Looks like I have 4 plants in 4 gal soil instead of 3 similar size plants in 5 gal soil. I’m hoping to see 7-9 oz this time

Looks like 2 weeks left on three of the plants. They have mostly brown pistols and the trichomes are starting to turn cloudy. The last one was planted late. Maybe 3 week to go. It still has mostly white pistols and clear trichomes. I’ll end up harvesting this one a bit early. The two shorter plants are well formed and healthy looking. Leaves are mostly dark with minimal discolouration. The two stretchy plants look battered with some shabby discoloured leaves. It could be the different light I have on ine side. Maybe I’ll start moving the plants around the tent more in future. They seem to suffer from the massive growth where the other two only have burnt tops. But they will still be the bigger part of the harvest because of it. I’m beginning the flush this weekend. I’ll also put the next lot of seeds in water today as well. Probably a mixture of Gorilla Glue and White Widow AF. I realise I need all the overlap in grows I can get.

Early smoke is promising. Grassy, but I can taste mintiness and the sweetness of the bud candy nute is back. The stone is bright on the two smaller plants and already a bit heady on the two stretched ones. Curing will improve it further, so I’m going to try to leave it for another 4 weeks. Update: The cure is really working on these. Because of the fluffiness of the buds I left a lot of sugar leaves on in the trim. The grassiness has developed into a slightly nutty sweet herby flavour. There is less diesel sourness than the White Widow autos I have grown previously. The strength is more than sufficient.

I planned to overwater with pure ph6 water and mop up the overrun. No nutes. I wanted to make sure I do a proper flush. But true to form this grow I only flushed once. I put through double the water intake. 4 litres each instead if the usual two. The plants still soaked it up with not much overrun! Maybe I have been underwatering them. Two weeks of soaking up that and a bit more, slowly dehydrating for the chop. This was last weekend and over the last few days I have harvested. This time I got 8.5 ounces from 4 plants. So the weight is steadily increasing. I still think I can get 10 ounces from this space. But because I really didn’t maintain them, the buds aren’t as presentable as the last harvest. They are bigger but fluffier. So I filled up 10 jars this time. But I’ll compact them as they cure. So this time I think I got the foundation right. 4 four gallon fabric pots. Big but still room to breath. But I should have actually been serious and trained and defoliated regularly. The small space really needs it. Next grow mixes white widow and gorilla glue. I will LST train and defoliate and I think I will scrog too this time. All the final weight is at the top of the plant really. So I maximise the 4 foot square.

@Buddha2, thank you. 3 grows in, about a year and I feel like I’m still only just beginning to learn. I learnt a lot by doing very little this time.
