******Week 4 - December 30/19 to January 5/20
She started off the week strong and did well in her growth overall. She was temperamental about the light this week. She is experiencing a narrowing of the blades of her leaves and she is getting a little greener.
LST was started this week and she took it well. She has very strong, thick - about a dime now, and playable main stem. Bent her over around the 4th node and redirected some of the side branching to expose more light on lower growth. She bounced back from this well once tied down and the next morning her stems were pointing back upwards again.
Lights turned up to full power this week, by weeks end, with HLG still only at 75% and this is the light she finishes the week under. They spent most of the week with only veg light on, HLG at 40%, and at 36” height. She was happy at this point. At mid week the preflower signs showed and she seems to be looking for more light by the weekend.........so we giver what she wants😜😜
Definite signs of preflower this week....roughly day 26! Introduce more of the flower nutrients this week and phase out the Kelp and CalMag to reduce some nitrogen.
Jan 5/20
- Lights lowered this morning to 22” off canopy.
- Cleaned off lower new growth on two lower branches and pulled first fan leaves today, only three.
- Lowered humidity today to 53 to 56%
- Noticed leaves are pretty green when under natural light.....as usual.....no burnt tips but she has lots of nitrogen in her......watch potassium potential for excess.
- She seems to be taking well to the increased intensity.....want to feel like her leaves are getting wider in todays growth. She drooped down early tonight but I expected as she had a change.
@Buddha2,Thanks for stopping by!!
Your Zkittlez are looking very nice........#2 should have a nice yield......love the colors coming out in her.
Happy growing!!!
@PrairieFrostGrow,No puck luck😩+ injuries😥, but they are playing hard👍
so things might turn around🙏.
Luck with your plant, looks really good👌
Stay Warm, Grow Big!!
@northernMike,Thanks very much for taking the time!! Love growing this plant!!
She is actually still going. Going to update later today........when I pulled out of darkness her trichs just weren't there.......put her back in the tent, kept her cold and wet........damn......frost increased and she is just about there now!!! As always......Patience Bro! So hard some times😀😀
What the heck is with fighting for a playoff spot???? Injuries suck.....
Cheers Sir!
@Denzul,Thanks for the comment! She has been an unexpected surprise😀 I was not sure how she would grow and what the yield would be like. I knew she is an XL but was not expecting her to be as tall.
Have an awesome week!!
@PrairieFrostGrow, You're more than welcome... You've got skills and I've always been a person to give respect where it's due, and yes the site and growing many strains at once does keep me busy but when you enjoy what you do you never really pay attention to how much you're actually doing, and to be honest, I think this website is a cannabis lovers dream, I can't help myself from jumping on and seeing the latest strains and diaries.😊
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, hey thanks very much for the comment🙏
You are a busy person around the site I see plus keeping up several diaries of your own at once.....hats off to you!!!
I think it brings a smile to any growers face when they receive a comment or a like from a fellow enthusiast such as yourself .....one of the reasons for the success of this site.
Much grower love to you and thanks😀
I am looking at Sweet Seeds. From your grow report, I am convinced to go with Green Poison genetic.
I am in a hot climate and purple shouldn’t come out for me.
Thanks for detailed pics.
Good Day @Med_in_Tropic, I was very happy with Green Poison and with the different versions they have I am sure you will find one that fits your climate. XL Auto worked out well for me😀
Talk to me in January Bud.......I'll take your climate in a heartbeat and sacrifice colours😂😂😂
Have a great week Med
@Med_in_Tropic,Hey Med.......hope you are doing well. Thanks for much for the sentiments!!!
Been busy in life the last couple of weeks......its time to get checking back in on everyone😀
I always feel honored to see a comment from you.......Cheers!!!
@@ShotGunBob,Hey ShotGun.........Sweet Seeds have been very stable for resilient in my grows!!!!!
I am a big fan of their genetics and their new lines have some FIRE looking strains!!!
Happy growing to you........
If you have yet another week, stem splitting or snapping can increase sweet buds. This is the “Colombian Gold” practice.
And a little more feeding helps.
Last week I always go for yoghurt and molasses.
@Med_in_Tropic,I am going to follow this up with you more in the weeks ahead!!!
At that point she was down already. I was thinking about drilling some holes in her stem for example to add some stress and help resin production. I just dismissed that though and then I saw this post from you. Thinking that I will try out the Colombian method next run.
Have a great weekend Med!!
@Ganjagrandaddy, Good Day.....thanks for the comment! Yeah.....I wish the suckers would send me a card😁 Lots of bottles but its not too bad as there is usually only or two feeds a week with everything👌
Keep growing them big buds like you have been...cheers!!!
@Sweet_Seeds, Thanks for the good vibes.......Just coming off a summer of Gorilla Girl by Sweet Seeds......beautiful purples came out in one pheno and frosty like crazy...ran her three times and very consistent. Got the freebie ordering Cream 47....looking forward to it after the auto run.....muchas gracias
Turned out nice.....I have had good results with LST....I had great results with HST super cropping...
WELL INTO FLOWER ALMOST END OF STREACH....I snapped the main stalk just under the cola stacking.....MADE MASSIVE BUDS....I had a height problem...but it worked on both plants the same....HUGE PRODUCTION....easily doubled tripled output....ON AN AUTO TOO
Now I'm FLUXING MAINLINING one and LST on another....my first PHOTO grow so I have the time to train completely....I don't like auto's NICE TO FINISH FAST GET WEED NOW, but a waste of time and money over all....
Also ONE QUESTION....when you check your run off.....ARE YOU WAITING ON THE LAST FEW DROPS?????
do it both ways...initial run off PPM & PH.....then LAST DROPS ONLY....totally different readings.....
First should be perfect...last drops should be highly concentrated...PART OF THAT IS THE BAG ITSELF...…
I don't like fabric stays soggy doesn't RUN OFF WELL ENOUGH....air pots are cool....BUT I LIKE GRO PRO...with cut outs all over...ADD A FEW MORE HOLES IN THE BOTTOM.....
I find my Run off is usually right at 5.85 or so in coco....but thats using a FLUSH from CYCO Kleanse.....I dont PH the FLUSH its like 4.3ph in R/O water....I feed at 6.0 my run off after four gallons is 5.85
FLUSHING CAN DROP PH EASILY.....LOWER PPM BUILD UP....then feed a 50% full line up for the final pour over at your DESIRED PH....
Thats what I noticed from checking ph and ppm of my run off while flushing.....after VEG, mid Flower before swell, and before harvest....
8 gallons usually drops my 1400pom flower feed to 600ppm run off......BUT LAST FEW DROPS FIRST COUPLE GALLONS...LIKE 2450ppm......so I DUMP WATER TILL IM LIKE 8-600 about 8 gallons...…
might help you LOWER YOUR TOTAL PH....
A total pro grow . You must have to tie string round your waist for safety when you enter this jungle. wow. Do love a room full of young budding plants , has a real vision of things to come and usually needed after all the waiting. top notch 👍😎
