My grown My first grow ever went really well for the most part! So many ups and downs, research, learning, and Diy! The downs started from the begging!! - Over watered clones in the Turbo clone I borrowed. 😑 was spraying 3 times a day and never checked humidity, temp, or took the dome off for over 2 weeks - I transplanted my yellowed clones into rockwool cubes and then put them into my rdwc. Took forever to root because I kept top feeding being worried they would dry out 😑. I really should have let the clones root to the rockwool first, or not used rockwool at all and stuck the clones in the clay balls! 😑 - Once in the rdwc I used my small 150w led light hung from the top and it has such a small spread that only the mother and plant in the middle was growing at all! On came the hps. - Ok cool. Right? No. Aphids!!! What can I say, it’s like herpies. I knew my buddy had a few of them when he gave me clones, but I never seen them at all, until my plants started to get healthy and green! They were everywhere! Time to get this figured out. Easy fix right? Google says spray with soap and water. Cool. So I start spraying my plants multiple times a day and soaking them with soap and water.......... well... that soap and water leaked into my rdwc! What a damn mess! Ugh! Bubbles everywhere! Clean my system 4 times to get all the soap out. To the hydro store I go and they sell my a bottle of natural earth dust! Awesome. Powder everything down big time! Slowly the bugs went away. During this time my carbon filter gets completely clogged from the dust 😑 - Ok ok. Things start to go good at this point. Or do I think... up until flower I was de leading a lot but never wiping away any nodes! What a bushy mess! I didn’t realize what I did wrong until a week into flower... well... I panicked and stripped two majorly and two not so much. The two I stripped came out with a qp each of just tops. And the two bushes came out with a half pound each of leafy bud. - After the strip I think I’m doing decent all through flower, buds look and smell great. One last major thing I did wrong... I had my 1000w hps too close to my girls cause itn the buds to bee extremely airy and fluffy 😑. Live and learn! Turning the light down to 750 for next run and keeping it at the very top of the tent at all times! The ups! - I learned soooo damn much it’s unbelievable! - The friends, connections, and companies I’ve connected with are amazing! - And of course. All this bud I have now! No more spending over 100 a week on poor quality dry government weed! - Also. I must add. My mental health has improved so much finding a hobby to do from home. As for the the strain Cheese by Canuk seeds. I cannot give a true opinion on the growing of this plant as I have nothing to ever compare it too. I did a ton of training and topping on these girls, making it so I had a full trellis net. (Like all you pros) I used GH nutrients and followed there recommended rdwc schedule and everything went very well! For the bud. Looked amazing in the tent and when trimming. Once dry they are very fluffy and not very nice bag appeal, but this is on me. The smoke! My god I love this!!! I usualy cannot smoke joints because It ruins my lungs but I’ve been smoking multiple of these every day!! I am so happy! I don’t know if it’s the strain, because I grew it, because it’s not dry as hell, because there isn’t any PHR’s. I don’t know but I like it a lot! I’m a grower for life now! In all. I’m a very happy Man.

Reviews. Nutrient
I used the flora series base nutrients only and it seemed to go well for my first time. I followed the Recommended rdwc schedule and it actually went really well! A lot of people say do less then called for, but I didn’t

My first ever harvest went great! I trimmed 3 different ways as well as flushed for different amounts of time. 24hr flush and wet trim with bowl trimmer, dried on dry rack. Aprox 4 ounces as i was smoking it soon as it dried, small buds first. 🤷‍♂️🏻 3 day flush. Wet trimmed by hand. Hung to dry. 119 grams Last two ladies were the bushy ones. I let them flush for a full week and then hung to dry. We hand trimmed them both(not as close of trim) to make edibles and oils with. 412 grams! I think I did pretty well on my harvest. I have over a pound of bud! I’m all smiles!

Hello and damn. First grow is going really well man. Looks like you have the 'touch' I asked this question very recently myself, as I didn't do much pruning or defo in my first grow. I was worried about stress in flower and didn't want to push her. Recently, however, I've been told to forget most of what I was told and by someone that way knew way more then the others. Long story short, go for it, but don't go hog wild. Trimming and defo is stress and too much stress can have consequences. But taking small amounts here and there , including small flowers in later bloom, that you know you won't want (LARF) is just fine. It is heavily suggested that you plan the defo/trimming directly before or after a feed. This way she will recover much faster with the nutrients needed to do so. Cutting during a dry out is not really recommended...just a heads up👍. Anywho, I wouldn't suggest any of this if you were growing with mystery bag seed, but you're not and have solid genetics here. Strong genetics means the girls can take more stress and bounce back faster. Weak genetics, under stress, have the propensity to be problematic and even hermie in certain stressful conditions. Lastly, choose wisely😉. Your fan leaves are still very purposeful, so anything you don't need to take, don't👍. Try to only take what impedes the growth of other shoots and to increase canopy light penetration. Good luck with whatever course of action you choose! They look stellar and there are good things on the horizon! Drop me a PM if there's anything else, my grow friend. I'll be kicking around. Cheers😉👍

Holy shit dude, how can you sleep with the tent in the bedroom? I have it in the livingroom and can't even sleep with the bedroom door open.

@mrlovesgrow, LOL, I was wondering the same thing. But now, it's probably become a comforting white noise for you. My intake and outtake fans used to bother me, first grow, and I had trouble sleeping. Now, if I don't hear them cycling I can't sleep, hahaha. It has become my white noise and I sleep better when I hear it. Weird, but works!👍

@grower_not_shower, it’s kind of like a white noise. 2 osc fans, 2 inline fans, air pump, water pump, humidifier. It took a couple nights to get used to for sure! I have it dialed in pretty good! Can still here it from the living room!

Even when we buy feminized seeds, seeing pistil growth and seeing them push in the early weeks of flower, is the BEST feeling and the BEST site to see. Congrats on successfully entering your first blooming period and continued success up until the very end! Cheers and great work👍. Welcome to your new obsession, hahaha😂

Great week! They are looking choice. Keep training those taller branches out along your screen. That will open up the interior bud sites. I kept training my bud stalks until stretch was over and true flowers were visible. After that it was just defoliation to keep light on everything. You are doing a fine job on this grow. Just think how great its going to turn out and how much better your next grow will be because of your success here.

@mrlovesgrow, My SCroG grow is the same way. I don't know what other people do, but I probably trim off a handful of leaves every few days just to keep up. The worst part for me is the back of the tent because I can't really see what is going on back there.

You are right that is a great set-up! I've heard cheese strains get really stinky. You might need a carbon filter in there. You are going to have quite the tent when those girls start to pack on the buds. Good luck! I'm going to follow along. I love a SCroG grows. Also, I'm interested in Canuk Seeds and you look like someone who knows their way around a grow tent.

@Quexos, I can’t wait for it to get stinky! I have a carbon filter but don’t have it set up just yet! This is my very first every grow lol! Thanks for the compliments!

Hey dude! Everything looks great and I don't think you took too much 😉. Looks totally fine and I just did the same thing with my girls. Energy will push to your other tops now and all those smaller node points you took, were probably serving no purpose and would become LARF. I trust everything is A OK👌. Keep on giving her, coming up to the finish line 😉👊
