Popped in peat pods on heat mat. Kept them covered / in darkness for the first day or two after planting then moved them into tent. Once I spot some roots, will transplant them to 3-gal fabric pots in coco. Bumped minimum temp in tent to 68f so hoping with the heat mat it's enough to support these ladies. Gave them a little recharge to hopefully put some more pep in their steps.

Apologies for the lack of photos / depth of post here -- tough week for yours truly (luckily the ladies seem to be doing OK, though) and I just need to get _SOMETHING_ posted here so I can stay consistent with this journal ish and start fresh with a better week next week. Growers love to you all

Next feeding will give some "grow big" nutes. They seem ok just lathargic. Contemplating lifting them up closer to the light🤔. Will try maybe a foot or so.

I just can't get these sad little girls to pick it up. But they're surviving, so maybe they just need a bit more time. Update: starting to see some more aggressive growth, so just needed some time and nutes. Can't wait to see what's next. But no indication of flowering yet.

Start of week: I'm not 100% sure how I screwed these plants up, but they continue to limp along. One shows a little viggor. They all stuck in veg still. Maybe later this week we'll stretch and flower. A guy can dream.

One of them may be starting to preflower, but other than that very slow going. Still holding my breath for them to stretch and preflower. Did some minor training on the most vigorous one cause eff it they taking their sweet time getting to flower anyways, so we'll see what happens.

We've FINALLY begun flowering. Everyone is looking OK despite some defoliation and very light LST (tying down big fan leaves, that's about it . . . ). Switching from foxfarm to advanced nutrients this week, and I'm excited to see if this helps the ladies at all . . . . we shall see!

Exciting week- big flowering stretch for all 3 ladies. They all have really kicked into gear and are looking 💪🏻, at least to me. Sorry for the blurple - lot going on this week and I’m too lazy to haul this ladies outside for a photo shoot. Maybe next week when flowering really kicks into gear 😎

I think the flowering stretch (vertical stem growth) has wrapped up, and little budsites are popping up left and right on these three ladies. I defoliated and we'll see how they respond. Growers love to you all.

Another week on the grind, with bud sites continuing to pop up. Will give them all a defoliation next week. I am getting antsy already waiting for the flowers to fill out, but think I just need to stay patient for now.

Another week on the books. Warm weather has been helpful I think. No stagnation/shock from last week’s defoliation, so that’s been good too. End of week update--explosive flower growth and I was so excited checking the tent today that I wanted to pull them all out and do a new week entry, but I resisted temptation. Updated pics attached.

I’m enjoying the ride. Leathery phenotype has a formidable lemon scent completely different from the sweet/ordinary terps put out by two sisters. The 5 gallon potted (others are 3gal) is packing on flowers nicely and makes me think 5 gallons for autos is a better call going forward. Still no clue on harvest timeline...no amber trichs spotted.

Really interested in the reddish pink flowers coming in on the leathery pheno with the wild lemon smell. Also 5gal pot is BULKING nicely (a bit of fox tailing tho until I can figure out how to safely raise my light up higher.....) and is still charging a long lots of white pistols. Trying to stay patient and not harvest prematurely but the struggle is real hahah. I’m enjoying the flower development tho big time.

Week 10 of flower (6/15/2020 = ~Day 108, 28 days past the advertised-80-day-life-cycle and counting). Starting to question why grow autoflower if photoperiods can get it done faster. Although I'm still very excited for this harvest, whenever they're finally ready.

The two smaller plants in 3 gals got the chop and trim and are drying. The heftier girl in 5 gal gonna get another week or so. The leathery/lemony pheno sporting some crazy foxtaily (bead/pearl) buds the likes of which I've not seen before in real life. Cool stuff I’m looking forward to the smoke 😎. Update: the dry-down went quicker than expected. Vaped it, and it's the best herb I've grown to date and I'm very excited. I was hoping the bead / pearl / foxtail pheno would be even more powerful. I vaped it, too, but it's not. Hah. Luckily, it is similar in taste and effect and power to Runty's buds, so the pearl shape is just a low-yield flower pheno but the quality is OK so I'm cool with it. The Big Kahuna comes down next week. Gave her a final water with some recharge. Grower's love to you all.

Happy Harvest Day!

Pros: exceptional high (uplifting creative and yet relaxing), decent flavor, and strong producer, what’s not to love? Cons: 11 week flowering period for an auto. Out of three seeds one was a strange lower-yielding phenotype. Conclusion: my favorite Seedsman strain I’ve grown thus far; this truly is exceptional bud. Highly recommended.

Nice dense buds. Pain to trim, but worth it. Seemed a bit nutrient sensitive. I am really impressed with the potent stativa-leaning buzz, will be growing this again, that’s for sure.

@Gutismoke102, thanks for checking it out! That’s cool you’re growing the photo version - I’d expect it to finish similarly if you veg it for ~6 weeks (as that’s how long these autos took to flip). I can’t imagine the photo needing to flower more than 11 weeks. Hope that helps & I look forward to following / checking out your grow!

I don't mean to leave bad comments or anything not throwing shade at you as a grower... Just curious if you think your leaves look really dark and glossy? Like too me they do. Iv'e started a crusade against Advanced Nutrients, not because I think it's bad.... But because I'm starting to believe it's genuinely bad for cannabis growing... Like the amount of nitrogen the plant should be intaking from the Nutrients should be near zero as you want to clean the plant up a bit.. But using the 3 part Formula by AN you can not do this.. Pm me if you like to talk more about this or if you think an A$$hole and want me to remove this comment. I will gladly do that... I just do you see what I see???
DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity
DeadwebsiteBoringcommunitycommented5 years ago
@Smoke_Weed_Maintain, yes Dark green leaves can be a bad sign at any point in time really. Glossy and dark is an indicator or high nitro levels just like clawing. Tip burn is more in relation to uptake issues and sudden surge of nutrients then it is to any nitrogen intake. But you seem to have your ducks in a row. Have fun and happy growing. Like with the right nutrients Chemicals don't have to equal tip burn.
Smoke_Weed_Maintain
Smoke_Weed_Maintaincommented5 years ago
@DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity, thanks for the comment and for checking out my plant pics. One plant in particular has that dark green leathery(/glossy) look to it big time--but it smells and appears significantly different from the other two--so I'm inclined to think it's just a different phenotype. I'll try to get some more photos up soon to show what I'm talkin' bout with that. Are dark green leaves in flower a bad thing? If the issue was too much Nitrogen, I think that would cause tip burn and/or (if it's way too much) clawing of fan leaves. I don't see too much (if any) of either of those symptoms here, so for time being I'm not concerned.

What is your final dry yield on the 5 gal pot?
Smoke_Weed_Maintain
Smoke_Weed_Maintaincommented5 years ago
@ThatWasEasy, 3.7 oz, very pleased with that one, versus the 3 gal pots (which yielded 1.5oz and 2.1 oz, respectively). Makes me want to ditch 3 gallon pots moving forward, but I can't say for sure that was the only factor at play. Thanks so much for checking out the grow!
the end.
