DAY 1 (06/03/2020) The seedlings started growing tonight after 4 days since they were planted inside the rockwool cube (02/03/2020). They are under a 23w CFL until they are a little taller and start to make the first 2 leaves. The distance is very small from the light to not get them too stretched. Feeding just water now. I already prepared the RDWC setup with a 60 liters box (0,6 m x 0,4 m x 0,25 m) for 3 plants. The grow tent is 120x120 cm. The light will be a Sylvania 600w HPS powered by a Gib Ligthing LXG Timer 600w Electronic Ballast. Since it is dimmable I will start with 250w and increase in the first weeks until reaching 600w. The ballast has the Sunlight mode which increase the wattage of the lamp during the first hour and decrease during the last to simulate the sun cycle. DAY 5 (10/03/2020) Seedling are growing well. I started RDWC yesterday and put 25 liters of water with 15 ml of FloraCoco Grow, 15 ml of FloraMicro,15ml of FloraBloom. I also added 5 ml of Great White Mycorrhizae to strengthen roots. The water from my tap is 40 ppm , the water in the reservoir is 500 ppm. Increased power light to 350w. Temperature and Humidity when lights on: 23°C and 35%. Added a humidifier inside the room to increase humidity.

DAY 8 (13/03/2020) Growing well. A bit underfed with the first leaves light green probably because the pH was too high the last two days (7.5/8). Increasing the nutrients tomorrow. DAY 11 (16/03/2020) Plants are underfed. Corrected pH to 6 and changed feeding schedule. Temperature is 35°C and Humidity is 22%. I am using a humidifier inside the growbox but it is difficult to maintain a low temperature and high humidity if the room has an air extractor. DAY 14 (19/03/2020) Problems in keeping temperature down and rh up.

@versace_grow Hi mate quite a few possible reasons for slow growth that I can see 1. solution temp is a tad too high to hold adequate amounts of dissolved oxygen ( the warmer it gets the less O2 it can hold) 2. Grow tent temp is really high too. 34 degrees will stress your plants unless you were using a sealed CO2 type setup aim for under 25 if possible 3. ph @ 6 isnt too bad but for hydro around 5.7 or 5.8 is better for nutrient availability 4. humidity is way too low and can cause drying out of leaves and ultimately death If you can get all these things in order I'm sure your plant will thrive 👍

DAY 16 (21/03/2020) Plants are growing well, they are very short with big dark green leaves. It seems they probably need some more rh and a bit less temperature because some of the leaves are curlying down. The reservoir is ok. I don't need to add water or change schedule or correct pH since it is quite optimal. Just Plant C looks a bit lighter in colors. Roots are developing really well into the reservoir. No algae so far. DAY 19 (24/03/2020) Added new photos. 760ppm, 5.8 pH.

DAY 23 (28/03/2020) I fimmed the plants. They don't look bad even if I should increase a bit the RH. I haven't changed the water in the reservoir yet because it looks clean and fresh. I'll see in the next days. They do not require much water yet, just a topping of 10 liters which I think will last for almost a week. DAY 28 (02/04/2020) After some days all the plants are developing side branches which is positive. Plants without any nutrient deficiency. I added 10 liters of water with the new feeding schedule (25ml FloraGrow Coco, 20ml FloraMicro, 7ml FloraBloom, 4 ml Orca) increasing TDS to 860 ppm. I'm considering to cut larger leaves to make lower side branches getting more light.

As you can see in my last photos (DAY 28) plants are developing lower side branches. Should I get rid off the larger leaves which shade the lower branches? I already tried to bend down the larger leaves to make room for the lower branches. What do you suggest? Veg for 15 more day

This is truly a personal preference and a highly debated issue. I generally use the rule of thumb that if it is blocking just as much if not more surface area below it than I remove it. Or if it is getting bushy and needs help increasing airflow. Never removing more than 20% of leaves in any given week. Everyone does it their own way though. I recommend doing some trial and error to find out what works best for you. But if I had to decide on this one I’d say yeah list it go.

DAY 31 (05/04/2020) I started with a little defoliation and I added water to the reservoir. DAY 32 (06/04/2020) I added a net to make ScrOG and bent some branches to make HST. The nutrient TDS is 850 PPM. DAY 35 (09/04/2020) I defoliated and bent the side branches under the net. Tomorrow I am going to switch to 12/12 to start flowering.

DAY 36 - DAY 1 Flowering (10/04/2020) I switched the light program to 12/12 and changed the feeding schedule. I did not adjust the pH and it is 6.0 right now. I am going to adjust it in the next days since it is not causing major problems. The roots are healthy and formed a big mass. The TDS is 1060 PPM. DAY 38 - DAY 3 Flowering (12/04/2020) Plants are starting to require more water so I added 35 liters today with the new feeding schedule. It seems they aren't lacking of any nutrients. The temperature is almost 29°C and RH is at 70%, I'm going to change the air extractor with a more powerful one. DAY 41 - DAY 6 Flowering (15/04/2020) Plants are starting to show some hair and becoming uncontrollably big. The first transition week is almost over and I am going to change my nutrients schedule to Flowering tomorrow. T & RH are always too high.

DAY 43 - DAY 8 Flowering (17/04/2020) I had to defoliate a bit under the net. I am considering to eliminate every stem that is not growing over my ScrOG net to make my higher buds bigger. What do you suggest? Plants are bushy and are growing too high , I need to do something to stop them growing in height but it is difficult. Temp & RH are always at 29°C and 75/80% which I think is too high. I replaced my air extractor with a bigger one (doubled the air flow). DAY 45 - DAY 10 Flowering (19/04/2020) Made a heavier defoliation and tried to flatten the canopy stringing the higher branches to the net. Flowers are starting to appear and plants are in good health. DAY 47 - DAY 12 Flowering (21/04/2020) Added new photos.

DAY 50 - DAY 15 Flowering (24/04/2020) Starting of Week 8 (3rd of Flowering). I noticed the pH is quite low (5) but it isn't bothering the plants. They are still growing very well and without slowing down. They completely recovered from defoliation and are growing at a never before seen rate. If they keep growing in height I have no more space to keep them away from the lamp which is pretty hot and would surely burn the buds. DAY 52 - DAY 17 Flowering (26/04/2020) New Photos, this time a little more artistic. Nothing to add other that flowers are getting bigger and I moved the lamp to the left side because the middle buds where getting too high. If I am able I'll add another 600w HPS on the right to boost flowering. I just need an E40 wing. DAY 54 - DAY 19 Flowering (28/04/2020) Added 40 litres of water with nutrients (without Green Sensation because the reservoir was high enough on TDS). New TDS: 1350 PPM. pH: between 5.5 and 6. Healthy buds

DAY 57 - DAY 22 Flowering (01/05/2020) Getting crazy here! Added a CoolTube with another 600w HPS lamp! Let's see! 😏 DAY 59 - DAY 24 Flowering (03/05/2020) Since the lights were too close to the main buds I raised the lamp on the right and aimed the fan at the canopy. Some of the buds got a little bleached. I hope they'll recover now. DAY 62 - DAY 27 Flowering (06/05/2020) TDS PPM keep raising on their own so I just added plain water to keep them under control (Between 1100 and 1300). Every time I check they are higher. Probably because of salts not absorbed by roots. I have never changed the reservoir water because there is no problem.

I downloaded a luxmeter app to have an idea of how many umol/s/m^2 my buds are getting and I discovered something unhappy... Some of them are getting between 2000 and 3600 umol/s/m^2. I'm getting my top buds light burnt but I cannot raise my lamp... Don't know what to do

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Just bend ur tops ova away from direct light will b ur best n quickest method.. U cud always try getting a heat reflector for ur lamp.. They are worth the money if u dont have the headspace in tent n are easy to clip onto light.. Nit sure on delivery times tho atm.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

Good afternoon! My diary is approaching the end weeks. Flowering period for Quick Critical+ is said to be 6 to 7 weeks. I am currently at the 33rd day from switching to 12/12 approaching the 5th week. 2/3 buds are starting to get brown hairs. When should I start flushing? 😄

I wouldn't look at the pistils (the hairs), but at the trichomes (with a magnifying glass).. they turn from clear, to milky and then to amber. Milky gives more of a head-high, while amber gives more of a body-high.. I personally prefer if about 5 to 10% are amber, while the rest are milky (not clear).. Since you're using hydro, it's sufficient to change the nutrient solution to water 2 or 3 days prior to harvest.. other mediums have to be "flushed" for longer (2 weeks for soil, about a week for coco), but given you're fully swapping the medium/reservoir, there's no real "flush" of the medium necessary.. If you use something like florakleen or flawless finish, then that can help a bit with removing any salt-buildup from the nutrients..

Easy to grow with no problem of root rot, deficiency or any other. Very resistant to heat, unoptimal RH and nutrient burn. I pushed ppm to 2500 and never had any sign of nutrient burn. It likes to be fed. 5 weeks of Veg are enough to have big and stretched brunches, maybe too much. With a HPS light I had difficult in keeping branches low enough to not burn them. High and quality yield. Waiting to cure it to try it!
