Ok my first grow on my new rdwc system made by urban Culture very exited to move to this I have done a lot of research and I know I will make mistakes but hopefully non too big. This is a step up from my Wilma 4 pot. I can get more in the system water wise and Easyer to clean out. Any advice or tips with rdwc feel free to comment 😎😊

Start of week 3 had some problems with some ring air stones I got. They were too much for my air compressor so changed them to ballies now I m getting much better water movement in each bucket. Plants look super happy and root zones progressing nicely changed over to main nutrients today but at a low dose. All in all happy with the grow so far. I hope you all safe indoors at these troubled times. Be safe all.

Start of week 4. Seen a big grow spirt last week so done a bit of defoliation to get rid of some off the big ass fan leafs and drained and replaced the water with some fresh. Plants all seem happy apart from back right plant just seeming to be smaller then the other 3 the only other problem is my ph seems to drop to about 5.3 then I have to keep ph up to get it back to 5.8 dn why this is happening I don’t seem to have any idea atm.

Ok start of week 5, as stated in the video I finally got on top of the ph drop. After some research I found that dwc systems can have 2 problems that can create this problem. One is the air it pulls in is to rich in co2 and basically creates acidic resovour but since I have been changing the system weekly I didn’t feel this was my problem. The other reason could be too low ec for the plants. Basically every plant has a natural ec lvl and if the nutrients are below that of the plant it can create an inbalance that leads to ph drop. I upped my nutrients from 1200 to 1400 and since I done that my ph has stayed stable at 5.8. Also had signs of slight light burn so lifted the light. So on we go learning this system day by day. Will say I have seen some great explosive growth since it’s all been stabilised.

Ok start of week 3 of flower and hole cow the stretch is freaking nuts they got real big real fast lmao, I done a big defoliate to try to help the light get down into the plant more but tbh it ain’t easy when they this big lol. I have noticed what I think is calcium deficiency on one leaf only but the plant looks super healthy on the rest of the bush 🤔 the leaf was at the top so I m wondering if it was a bit of light burn 🤔.

I have found what Might be calcium deficiency on one leaf near the top of one of my bush’s. but the rest of the bush looks super happy. Could it be light burn?? I feed them cal/mag so I m struggling to believe it could be calcium deficiency.

will not disappear ^^ to make it a bit more clear.. the damaged leaves will stay like that. Increase the dosage, and check the new growth.. I would agree, it looks like Calcium deficiency, your plants otherwise look very healthy, nice job

Ok start of week 4 of flower. These girls get tall, so tall I m out of room and am having to yo-yo them away from the light. Still having calcium deficiency so upped my calmag too 1ml per litres from 0.5. Started pk this weak so they should start to fatten up.

Start of week 5 of flower they have turned into dam monster. Light can’t go up any more so I been trying to bend the branches away from the light. Can’t believe how tall these get it’s mental.

Start of week 6 of flower. I don’t seem to be getting much big swell. Not sure if it is because light is just overwhelmed with the freaking jungle or it’s the light or something else, normally by now I expect to see fatter buds. Will have to wait and see I guess.

Ok start of week 7 sorry too the photos 2 days ago but then forgot to update diary. I have swapped the light in a vain hope to get fatter buds, I can figure out if it was the light of the over growth, hop wing this helps. I have also tried to move the buds so light can get down. Tbh I m not expecting any large quantity this grow. Very disappointed.

Ok start of week 8 tbh I want this grow over. It’s been such a bad grow. The plants just got to big and swamped the light creating a situation were they just got light starved and now I don’t expect much of a yield. Going to dragon force see if I can give a bit more bulk before flush next week.

Ok had major problems with this grow. I new I would have some switching to a new system and boy did I. So it turned out a clay pebble got down in the system and blocked the pipe to the pump meaning I was getting no circulation. ended up with 2 plants dying of what I assume is build up of salts or no fresh water...and 2 plants grew stringy partly coz of this but I also thing the light had a part to play in it, I switched the light out for my old mars 144 and did end up with some of the buds fattening at that point. All in all learned a lot but glad that grow is over.

I first had a Wilma 4 pot and then got a DWC Rapid recirculate. I also have Urban Culture Bubble Buckets.. but ive not connected them as recirculate. I found that the difference was how long to regulate PH and EC. It takes a bit of time to go round the system. Be patient. Wilmas are quick.. drop some EC in and mix.. but recirculate takes time. Once you got the hang of it.. then all is quite straightforward. With DWC the veg stage is rapid fast explosive. Ih and another thing... make sure your bucket is near to top so side roots get into water soonest. Hope that all helps. Best 🍀

@Puffer_Bill, thx for info bro. I m holding this is a move up. I went with auto mainly to allow me more focus on the setup I will keep an eye on the ph and ec. Once again thx

@RastaMouse, Yes the pebbles aren't much fun... and make a right racket washing when you really wanting to be a bit less noisy. 🤣😂.

@Puffer_Bill, loved the Wilma just found resovour was too small and a pain to clean and all the clay pebbles a pain too. I m sure this system will have its problems I just herd these are easyer to improve on we’re the Wilma is kind of static.

@Greenbean15, had good results with fast buds in the past. My hope is to dial in the system on some genetics I trust to be solid.

all in all not a bad result, sometimes you have to ride it out ... how do you find the ts1000?
RastaMouse
RastaMousecommented4 years ago
@Hemporio_Afghani, tbh for me it was not enough power for the size room it was in. i have the MarsHydro Reflector 144 720w LED Grow Light in my other room and its a very good budget light but its pink light. if he looking for white light i would say the ts2000. but its all about the size of the space he has. i have a 100x100x200 gq tent that has the attis in and the mars 144 in the other thats 100x80x200 cupboard.
Hemporio_Afghani
Hemporio_Afghanicommented4 years ago
@RastaMouse, hahahahaha 😂 cant argue the Attis 300 sure does a nice job 😎 what's the bad points of the Mars TS 1000 ? a friend is starting on a small budget was going to recommend it over hps based on its specs for the price, can it hit G/Watt ?
RastaMouse

@Hemporio_Afghani, shit. Replaced it with the lummitek Attis 300 and it owns lol 😝
