This is another case of not really being sure what I have until I can run some tests and measure what the strength of this stuff is. She came out purple though. I usually relate the onset of purpleness to fall colors changing - I had a Purple Berry Kush that changed color almost overnight with some cold temps. Not cold here - just getting hotter.
This version of the 20:1 CBD species had a slightly larger node spacing than the non-purple version, so I could get in and grab more fan leaves of her this morning once I turned her upside down... but overall I did very little last minute pruning on these CBD babies. Pretty sticky... but we'll run some tests in a couple weeks to see what we gots.
June 22 >> Finally got around to trimming these girls. The smaller version barely had any yield at all... about 8 grams... but the 2 plants together yielded about 27 grams of bud and 24 grams of trim. Definitely purple in the final product. Still waiting for my tCheck test equipment. No plans to taste this stuff right away. No need. This is for my medicine cabinet.
Hi i'm not crazy there really is a purple cbd 20: 1 pheno right? I saw a photo on the Internet, but not anymore. None of my last 4 was purple. Now I have 6 pieces and I'm curious if I can also find the purple pheno.
@Bud_Spencer, Hey there... you are correct... there IS a purple 20:1 CBD variety. In my case it's technically identified as FastBuds Tester #37. Both of those are now outside and the younger one is showing more purple than the older one... at least on TOP of the leaves. I have an indoor & outdoor version of tester #36... which is identified as a 2:1 CBD:THC pheno -> those babies are a bit weird - the indoor version is my largest plant - the outdoor version is my smallest plant - and she shows a bit of purple herself - except on the BOTTOM of the leaf. Something weird maybe going on in CBD farmland. 😳
@Fast_Buds, Hey now... I guess I should ask a question about your 20:1 CBD varietals, or CBD in general... of which I'm growing a few different ones in this diary. When looking at trichomes on these plants - should I be thinking the same as a non-CBD plant? That is... the sequence of clear to cloudy to amber colored trichomes? Not exactly sure when I should be pulling the plug on these 20:1 girls.
