Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by my grow diary. More pics to follow, just got my microscope and was eager to use it as I was honestly very underwhelmed by what I could see with a jewellers loupe. I know that is the recommended tool by most people that I have seen on forums and sites in order to check on the development of the plant. Personally, I can see why if this is the tool being used that there is such a huge discrepancy in people’s harvest times and why people seem to think majority of growers will harvest to early The jewellers loupe was challenging to use. Unless I was pressing tight up to the buds, and probably damaging them, I wasn’t able to get a good and focused zoom on the buds. Even when the loupe was held to the phone it was a pain to use and I couldn’t get a clear image. Additionally, the viewing lenses were small and the only one I saw even being useable was the 30x mag. The 60x mag was way to challenging to use to get a good and clear look at the tris. The USB microscope, while not easy to use to snap clear focused photos, was a big joy to use just to get a clear view of the tris. It did take some messing around but I feel a lot more confident with the images I was able to see and capture than I ever was with the jewellers loupe. In my opinion most definitely worth the extra 40$ if your looking to judge your harvest in this way. ***UPDATE**** 29th Omg the smell of the blue Dream is so amazing it smells like a blue berry pie up in my tent right now it’s making me smile uncontrollably in anticipation of this harvest ***UPDATE*** July 1 So I’ve been watching the trichomes and they’re milky with a hand full of amber showing up here and there. I’ve decided now is a good time to start (technically continue cause last feed was a PH water only feed) the flush. I’m guessing they’ll be ready to chop in about a week so I am a little behind the flushing out process, but I have been consistently following a feeding schedule where I only included nutrients every 3rd feed so I don’t imagine I have a lot of build up in the soil anyways. Never had toxicity or deficiency issues I was aware of so fingers crossed with a proper dry and cure I’ll be set with my first harvest soon! ***Update*** July 3rd I keep checking the trichomes daily, and it’s truly time. Most tops are showing about 10% amber at most. The rest are all milky. Even the smaller buds beneath the upper canopy are showing completely milky trichomes despite the pistils being about 10-20 percent orange at the moment. I have the ladies one last feed of straight ph water (6.5) and have pulled the plugs on the lights putting them back to sleep about 30 mins earlier than scheduled. I’m going to leave the ladies in the dark for the next 24 -36 hours Depending on my schedule and allow the plants to ripen up their thc levels overnight a bit more. I am going to check on the tris every twelve hours and just make sure I’m not seeing a massive increase in ambers. If I do I’ll chop earlier than I was planning and begin my drying process. I have to admit this really snuck up on me. I’m hardly reaching the end of week seven and am pretty well on track to be harvesting for the beginning of week 8. The breeder online stated this strain is a 9 week flower but I am looking for a more active high balanced with euphoric state of mind and pain relief, and feel like letting the plants run on the full 9 will result in a CBN heavy harvest. I’ve attached pics of the ladies and their tris to this weeks photos. I’ll be checking back with updates for you guys as the time for harvest approaches. As always, happy growing everyone!

Grow Questions

Do you guys think my plant will recover with the main stem break? Details are in the journal but basically it completely snapped, was hanging by a thread of fibre. I used some allow and ducting tap that came with my exhaust.

I've done this to a couple plants over the years and more often then not the plant recovers. If you got that tape one there and the two pieces of stem tight together it should heal in a week or two. Keep tape on there for a while tho!!! If the top that broke off is wilting and leaves feel limp and soft likely it's been damaged too much

Hey how does my LST look? It’s my first time, and it is my first tie down per plant. Just wondering if I have the right idea

You've done it like someone who has follow a step by step method and you've done it right. I can't see any things wrong in your LST , maybe you could use LST + topping to build a bushier shape ans increase the secondaries growth while keeping the a flat cannopy.

the leaves falling down are not a good sign but just leave it and let it do its thing it took my plant a couple weeks to heal up and recover fully dont get impatient and take the tape off just let it do its thing it if it dies it dies but give it a shot anyway man

@KenSpliffeyJr, Looks like it yes. I have just recently gone through this with a glookies strain. I didn’t notice it hermied until too late. Wasted a lot of time for a subpar harvest, could’ve ruined the other plants as well. Me being stubborn thought it could be worth it to grow it out. So far wishing I had destroyed her. Lots of work cleaning after pollen, it will never be a happy plant. Just my 2 cents. Keep it realz. Greazy

@Growgirl1114, 🙏 thank you so much, and thanks for taking the time to check it out! Will be starting another grow soon With some different genetics, I have about 9 different strains at the moment to choose from so I just need to settle on what’s going in the pots next. Most likely will be running Wedding Cheesecake by 420 Fastbuds and Dark devil by Sweet Seeds
