IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: (Day 38): Hey guys, so I changed the light schedule to 12/12. This night will be the first 12 hours of darkness. Essentially, Day 39 will be the first day of 12/12, and also the first day I'll count towards flowering time. I am not creating an extra week but I will change this one to "FLO" since its 3 days of veg and 4 of flower. So just for your information, the plant is now transitioning to FLOWERING !!! :))) Day 42: So Ive broken one stem on each of the both plants now. Side branch of the G13 Haze which got removed today, and main stem of the liberty haze which I broke trying to LST and forgot that flowering actually hardens the stems like crazy. So I supported it with wooden sticks and am very certain in wont affect growth that much. But still, sometimes I hate myself. Anyways, removed quite a lot of leaves from the bottom of the plant, as well as the lowest side branches which are basically just stealing nutrients for nothing. Gonna keep the defo up until stretch has finished. Its called lollipopping I think? So yeah, Im going in that direction but I only remove what I feel doesnt make sense keeping. Day 41: Watered 500ml with 1.2ml BioGrow, 0.5ml BioBloom (Gonna keep feeding it but in lower doses). Which is about 80% of the recommended strength for the Grow and 40% recommended strength for the bloom. No Top Max ! Had to use tap water which brought the nutrient solution pH to a solid 6.3 ! Day 40: The top soil for both plants are mostly dry but the soil deeper than an inch has a really nice moisture-oxygen - balance. So I'll wait another day and water tomorrow. I think letting the soil dry out a bit is very important and I tend to water tooooo much and toooo frequently so this might be a good decision. Also, I tried to move the big fan leaves below the side branches. Hope they stay there, because like that, the side branches get way more light and I dont want to remove any leaves right now if not totally neccessary. Day 38: The plant is definitely starting to drink quite a lot. Top soil is pretty dry but I also got a fan moving air around. Still, the pot is noticeably lighter than it was after watering yesterday. The G13 Haze pot is still pretty heavy in comparison and got 30% less water !!! Day 37: Watered 600ml Distilled + Tap water mixed together with biobizz according to their schedule for week 5 and 0.8x strength. I might not add bloom next time because I dont think the plant needs much phosphorous until week 2 of flower. Switch is btw definitely going to be day 40, the Liberty Haze is really growing fast. Roots are already poking out of the bottom drainage holes. Might do some light defoliation tomorrow to prepare the plant for flowering and to make sure the side branches get good light access. Heyho guys welcome again :) Not much going on, except the plant growing really really fast. I am actually just waiting for the G13 Haze to grow a little bigger so I can switch both plants to flower. Like I mentioned earlier, I think day 40 would be a good plan for now. I keep on LSTing and the Liberty Haze reacts great ! It keeps pushing its side nodes, I even saw the first preflowers today with little tiny 1mm long pistils in them :D Also removed one mid-sized fan leaf that was blocking half of the plant from light.

Grow Questions

Hey guys :) Have you ever done mid-flower flushing and if yes, how did it work out? Gonna let the soil dry completely and then water nutes again. Could the pH being buffered to 7.10 (shit soil) be the reason for the yellowing leaves or does the plant need more or less of somethng

toward bottom starting from tips? Fairly safe to say it is a N deficiency. Don't flush, if this is the case. You flush for a reason, like an elevated EC level relative to current maturity of your plant or some major toxicity issue or something crazy out of balance, which doesn't look to be the case here. by completely dry, do you mean top 1" soil, right? Don't let the plant wilt. That's bad for its long-term health. You don't want to drastically shift pH or dissolved mierals in a short period of time -- especially in bloom. All you need to do is keep a good water-fertilizer altnating schedule and react to what the plant says.. .if it starts to get a tox, you fertilize less often or reduce concentrations (assuming it is relatively balanced for the plant, if not ratios of what you feed get involved too). I'd say you need to fertilize slightly more (or slightly increase component with most N based on picture). Always slow increments when testing new things and try to keep all other factors the same - and let it play out a bit to see full extent of change, unless overtly bad, lol. pH -- a pH near 7 would increase nitrogen availability for the plant's uses, so that is likely fine. If you've had no issues so far, i'd keep it the same. A change of pH requires a change in nutrient ratios.. if you've found a good medium, it's best to stay there.

How much more time would you give my plants? I'm thinking 2 more weeks. I have a serious problem with fungus gnats right now, they just came back from one day to another and I don't have any countermeasures for the last weeks. Cheers (:

Hey friend definitely 1-2 weeks at most. You look really close to finish. For the fungus gnats, it won't matter much for this plant, but if you have others around then that's a problem. They'll just keep coming back if you don't get it handled. Are you in the u.s? If so please go get something called mosquito bites, at a garden store or home depot type place. Sprinkle all over top of the soil, then smash a bunch and put into a gallon of water, let sit for a day and then water any affected pots. Let them do a full dry cycle...like almost drooping plant dry. And hopefully that'll kill the larvae in the soil. As for the flying ones if you could pick up a bottle of Dr Bonner's castile soap and make a squirt bottle with 3/4 water 1/4 soap its a very effective but non damaging bug killer. Those are the methods i had the best luck with. Jorge cervantez also does a thing called a bud wash using a tub of water with hydrogen peroxide in it and dunks the buds before drying, its handy for washing away PM and some bugs. Good luck and happy trimming. ✌️

Nice looking frosty buds you got there! Is it in your opinion more sativa or indica dominant? I just start a run with 5 liberty haze.

@Medicanna, Nice! I just finished a run with critical kush. Very indica dominant and a smooth earthy taste. Maybe something to try?

@Chlorophyll_Junkie, 220cm is plenty, you're gonna be happy with that. Don't know which strain, I am thinking either a cbd based one or more of a kushy, relaxing indica. Either way I won't start a new run until I tested this one's product haha :P Cheers man keep it up

@Pajersey13, Thanks man I really don't know how I deserved it but maybe because it's the first grow where I actually let the organics completely do their thing without interrupting and maybe the Liberty Haze is just giving back some of the energy and effort I put into it... It is such a wonderful, gorgeous plant Im so proud of it :)
