Hey guys if you are reading the below updates, you could do me a huge favor by just commenting your thoughts on whatever I do. Criticism is always wanted, destroy me if you want, but make sure to also tell me how it shouldve been done :) Thanks !!! Day 28: Would you look at that! Both plants are finally looking how they are supposed to look ! Just 1 week too late sort of, but thats the advantage of having photos, you can veg them as long as you want. I am so happy now, I obviously have a close eye on fungus gnats which havent appeared yet but my nematodes are ready to fight them. Also Im gonna keep track of pH aswell as this seems to have been one of the main issues. Day 26: So I decided to transplant into the final pot. I realised that the soil im using is really cheap as I found plastic parts in it... Lets see how it goes, Ill call it an experiment from now on. The plant was rootbound at the bottom of its pot but just the last inch. Everything above was completely loose, probably due to the top soil drying out so fast. Important aswell, I tried to sterilize the G13 Haze potting soil by baking it in the microwave for 2.5 minutes. Didnt do that with this soil. Still gonna add the nematodes as soon as I get them to make sure fungus gnats are not an issue. Also watered with distilled water + biobizz which alone had a pH of 5.5 lol. So no ph- needed, actually ph+ wouldve been appropriate. Lets just see what happens :) VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE on both plants (day 24): So just out of pure curiosity I checked the tent when I came home and there was fungus gnats everywhere, on the pot on the soil on the bottom tray, flying around.... Just not on the sticky traps for whatever reason. Also the top soil dries quickly because it's anti-overwatering pebbles (:D) and there was DEAD LARVAE just laying around... Remember that mom that asked her kids who couldn't remember how to flush the toilet after they took a shit? DISGUSTING!!!!!! So I ordered nematodes.... And I'm officially gonna destroy all microbial life in the soil I'm repotting to by baking it at 70°C for half an hour. Did this from the start last time and didn't have gnats at all..... Don't know why I haven't learned. Day 24: Just a little side note - I wondered if the tight node spacing is due to the LED being 45cm apart from the canopy and indeed it was. I raised the lamp to 50cm for a day and you might not be able to see that in the pictures but the liberty haze grew way more in height than before. And even though drooping (probably water again :D but that watering and following droopiness was planned), the plant looks really good. Like I said, apart from drooping :D Im just happy that both plants arent dead yet, as soon as they actually start to explode I want to train, and I have to transplant in order to do that. So from now on its just a waiting game on when the plants build enough roots to be repotted in the 10l containers. IMPORTANT Updated Day 23: I WATERED TODAY WITH 50% strength recommended Biobizz for week 3 but didnt use as much Bloom as they recommend and no Top max. Also I watered 160ml per plant to get a decent amount of runoff. Runoff pH test resulted in 7.1 The water with nutrients came in at 6.7. So the root pH at the moment should be at 6.9 to 7.0 which would already be way better than the 7.2 to 7.9 pH I measured before. Lets see if the plant actually dies from overwatering or if it appreciates the fact that the soil is moist again. Oh and lets see how my beloved fungus gnats multiply exponentially in that great, wet environment..... >:( Several things: The plant pushed the tie up and I didnt like the leaves being pushed in the ground so I removed it. Plant standing solid enough now though. Also, drooping. Showing slightly yellowing leaves on the bottom so I water and feed with biobizz today. Another HUGE problem I have are fungus gnats. They came with the soil as usual but since the soil is mostly dry at the top, they gather arount the bottom of the pots where I cant really place sticky traps. And its really a lot of fking gnats Im telling you. I really need to think about a solution here.

Hey guys :) Have you ever done mid-flower flushing and if yes, how did it work out? Gonna let the soil dry completely and then water nutes again. Could the pH being buffered to 7.10 (shit soil) be the reason for the yellowing leaves or does the plant need more or less of somethng

toward bottom starting from tips? Fairly safe to say it is a N deficiency. Don't flush, if this is the case. You flush for a reason, like an elevated EC level relative to current maturity of your plant or some major toxicity issue or something crazy out of balance, which doesn't look to be the case here. by completely dry, do you mean top 1" soil, right? Don't let the plant wilt. That's bad for its long-term health. You don't want to drastically shift pH or dissolved mierals in a short period of time -- especially in bloom. All you need to do is keep a good water-fertilizer altnating schedule and react to what the plant says.. .if it starts to get a tox, you fertilize less often or reduce concentrations (assuming it is relatively balanced for the plant, if not ratios of what you feed get involved too). I'd say you need to fertilize slightly more (or slightly increase component with most N based on picture). Always slow increments when testing new things and try to keep all other factors the same - and let it play out a bit to see full extent of change, unless overtly bad, lol. pH -- a pH near 7 would increase nitrogen availability for the plant's uses, so that is likely fine. If you've had no issues so far, i'd keep it the same. A change of pH requires a change in nutrient ratios.. if you've found a good medium, it's best to stay there.

How much more time would you give my plants? I'm thinking 2 more weeks. I have a serious problem with fungus gnats right now, they just came back from one day to another and I don't have any countermeasures for the last weeks. Cheers (:

Hey friend definitely 1-2 weeks at most. You look really close to finish. For the fungus gnats, it won't matter much for this plant, but if you have others around then that's a problem. They'll just keep coming back if you don't get it handled. Are you in the u.s? If so please go get something called mosquito bites, at a garden store or home depot type place. Sprinkle all over top of the soil, then smash a bunch and put into a gallon of water, let sit for a day and then water any affected pots. Let them do a full dry cycle...like almost drooping plant dry. And hopefully that'll kill the larvae in the soil. As for the flying ones if you could pick up a bottle of Dr Bonner's castile soap and make a squirt bottle with 3/4 water 1/4 soap its a very effective but non damaging bug killer. Those are the methods i had the best luck with. Jorge cervantez also does a thing called a bud wash using a tub of water with hydrogen peroxide in it and dunks the buds before drying, its handy for washing away PM and some bugs. Good luck and happy trimming. ✌️

Nice looking frosty buds you got there! Is it in your opinion more sativa or indica dominant? I just start a run with 5 liberty haze.

@Medicanna, Nice! I just finished a run with critical kush. Very indica dominant and a smooth earthy taste. Maybe something to try?

@Chlorophyll_Junkie, 220cm is plenty, you're gonna be happy with that. Don't know which strain, I am thinking either a cbd based one or more of a kushy, relaxing indica. Either way I won't start a new run until I tested this one's product haha :P Cheers man keep it up

@Pajersey13, Thanks man I really don't know how I deserved it but maybe because it's the first grow where I actually let the organics completely do their thing without interrupting and maybe the Liberty Haze is just giving back some of the energy and effort I put into it... It is such a wonderful, gorgeous plant Im so proud of it :)
