Do I need to close the flap to the vent during dark cycles? (Lights off during the day) and should I block lights coming from fan power, humidifier, dehumidifier, or indicator lights? Also do I need to use the carbon filter the whole time? should I ever have the exaust fan off?

Hi! During vegetative growth it does not matter if you have light leaks 'cos the plant can grow even 24hrs lights on but during flowering you want to eliminate EVERY light source in the tent 'cos basically everything that is brighter than the moon (Except green light 'cos it does not matter at all in right spectrum) might prevent your PHOTOPERIOD plants from flowering or make them hermies. Now that you have autoflowerin strain it should not be that important to prevent light lekas 'cos autos will flower no matter the lights but just to be sure i would still eliminate all the light leaks etc during the dark cycle. If it is easy for you to install and uninstall the carbon filter I suggest that you start using it only when you need it 'cos with this you give that carbon much more lifetime. And why use something that is totally unnecessary? Exhaust fan is good to keep on to circulate the air and keep fresh air in the tent but it should not be a problem if you shut it off for an hour or so if the temps in the tent wont get too high!

I'm using 40% ocean forest, 40% happy frog, 10% perlite, 10% worm castings. I haven't really added anything since the first week. I've noticed the G.G. has some yellowing the Zkittlez looks great. Im wondering if it's light burn or nirogen deficiency? Any help would be wonderful.

GG eats more than Zkittlez and grow faster. So, please don't rush the Zkittlez. Sure, you can add more worm casting and fish mix for GG. Again, don't do the same to Zkittlez.

I was LST last night i cracked on of the main branches. It cracked at the base. It was only a small one it still could hold its own weight. But I tapes it up and staked it. My question is will it stress it out? I'm almost in week 6. I'd the plant gonna stop growing to heal?

Generally speaking cannabis is a very resilient plant. U took the appropriate measures... it will knuckle ove and heal. Ur plant shouldn't be held back much if at all. Try to be more gentle next time. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Hey Ninja! You stated in your diary that your ppm are almost up at 2000.They may as well be at that point. That’s way too high and you can see major leaf tip burn and curl. What your looking at is a calcium deficiency induced by nutrient lock out 🔒. You will notice that the spotting isn’t found in shaded parts of plant reinforcing a cal def. This deficiency is known to cause plants to become more susceptible to heat stress and judging by how curled up the leaf edges are on your plant ,(could saw a 2x4) either I’m right or your diary’s temp info is wrong cause 26 degrees should be perfect. To make matters worse, she is probably drinking too much water/nutrients trying to stay cool which further compounds the situation. That, and only 40% RH driving up your VPD. She doesn’t seem to have many brown pistils yet so you might have time to flush using ph balanced water with around 600-800 ppm of bloom nutrient. Make lots of it and keep passing it through your soil until what you put in is what comes out. Good luck! Hope this all makes sense! Cheers 🍻

If a plant is foxtailing. How do you know when plant is finished? For instance shes almost ready for harvest, started to foxtail. Now I can't tell because of the new trichomes we're its foxtailing.

hey friend, If you're having a plant foxtail and you're seeing new growth(pistils etc) regularly then you'll want to gauge the readiness based on buds a bit further down from your top most colas showing the foxtail. Going off this weeks one photo your plant looks very close to ready. If you're seeing the lower trichromes turning milky and some amber then I'd say go ahead and give her a mild flushing and cut down in the next few days. Happy trimming. ✌️

You are so close! The buds look fantastic and you could harvest now if you can't wait any longer. But make sure you've flushed all the nutrients out of the medium properly and let the soil dry out for a few days before chopping, makes them dry a little quicker. I would flush, dry, and chop in under 8 days or something 🌱👍

hey ninja So I'd definitely say she's ready from looking at the last 3 weeks. As for foxtail being common with F.B i can't say that specifically i just know myself and some grow friends have all had some strange experiences with growing them...some good too, but it's common to hear "fast duds" or other goofy nick names. Your buds look pretty massive though so good job to you managing to grow them successfully. 👏

@Experimentgreen, thanks! Always nice to hear I'm doing something right. Lol expesually from someone thats won a ton of contests. Your also a breeder for Mephesto? That must be tight! I've been wanting to get some of there Genetics but always sold out. You use the fox farms lineup? That's what im using it got lockout a couple of times. Thinking about switching over to megacrop. Im gonna be putting her into 48 hours of darkness and water with ice. Never tried it before. Anyways thanks again for the kind words.

I've written it before to you: raise the light! This plant is showing extensive signs of light burn. 24 inch would be ok in your situation in this stage. The plant won't recover fully, because its an autoflower (you cant make up for the damage and lost time), but next grow, use the following schedule (assuming you keep using the same mars tsw 2000): - seedling: 30 inch, 25-50% power - veg: 24 inch, 50-75% power - flower: 18-22 inch, 100% power (autoflowers tend to be less able to cope with bright light, samenhing close to 22 inch is ok for them. Photoperiods can handle 18 inch in most cases). Maybe you're also overfeeding a bit (autoflowers are also sensitive for nuteburn). Just take a look at my diaries. I also spended 1500 bucks and use the same light. My first grow yielded over 250 grams (from 3 plants), my second grow might even be better. It would be such a waste to give up now, while the solution is so easy: raise the light!
