Well, she mostly likes it indoors, but once in awhile I put her out in the sun. well, today it was a bad idea - the Poor little girl got absolutely NAILED by a hailstorm.... 😬 One of those intense hailstorms we often get here in Canada you just instinctively avoid walking out into... Soooo I waited it out until going outside. Luckily no shoots damaged, just a few holes in the leaves 😅. On one hand, it’s kind of nice to put them outdoors once in awhile - all the wind, sun occasional extreme weather and UV light is good for them... On the other hand, this was waaaaay too extreme.
next time, I’m going to pay closer attention to the forecast!
@frogDUDE your Mimosa EVO is looking great man! I love it, great training and you've made a great progress with your Mimosa! I see that you switched to flower also in the same 7th week as me. My Mimosa is in the 6th week into flowering and she has the thickest buds of all 6 plants. Looking at yours, it will get huge :)
I'll cross my fingers for you. Keep up the great work :) CU
@frogDUDE, wow! That sounds like a perfect job for ya, high tech stuff in the industry you probably love! That's awesome man :) And if you figure out such complex things you'll have a big knowledge base of different genetics and the impact of controlled environment on them. Such big data sets it will be worth a gazillion bucks in the future :D
@Cremo, yeah - your grow has been stellar so far. I’m pumped to see how this goes.
Part of my job is doing R&D for an automated Cannabis grow box company. - I’m setting some yield baselines in soil right now, then use clones from the same plants and test them out in the system. Should be interesting!
The hardest part about the research is adapting the grow box system to control the stretch - it’s so highly variable between different strains and individual plants, but some degree of stretch control is possible by having precise control over the environment. I get to research how to test this and develop the control system for it.
Your Mimosa EVO looks delicious :D #yummy my both mimosas have a very dark green color, the temps are probably too high for them to really change colors into some beautiful purple and greens. Hope yours will change the colors a lot! Great work so far! :) have fun!
@Cremo Thanks!!! I think a lot of it is definitely due to the outside exposure - It’s been an unusually nice summer here in Western Canada so she is spending most time outdoors instead of under my grow lights. Fingers crossed that the purple keeps developing! Cheers!!
@LittleBigTrees, thanks!! I don’t know if it’s my pheno or because the temps are dropping down to 10C/50F at night now - but I’m def. stoked to see it happening 😊
Outdoor, Hell Ya that is what I am gonna be doing when it warms up .I am only able to grow outdoors for now, this will be my 5th grow season. Also my first season buying seeds. I still have some of my trusty bag seeds .I found a few super glue and a few zkittlez ,so those are good , then bought some autos glue gelato barneys and cream cookies fast buds then i got some photo barneys mimosa and barneys pineapple chunk .Already have all my soil ,fox farm happy frog ,some cocoa some perlite some vermiculite .Oh and compost being made right now, All I need to buy is nutes and a ph meter ,I'm just gonna go with fox farms trio.I have seen people get good results plus I don't wanna spend a ton on nutes . i have some shit 0-50-30 bloom master shit. but i doubt il use any, maybe half the recommended amount, the last few weeks of flower may not tho but,I do have buddha grow and buddha bloom from Roots Organics stuff left but its almost gone, Anyway Ya im happy to grow this next season outdoors like you.
