Here is my intro to the Zamnesia spring cup 😁
I kindly received 5 seeds of Runtz from Zamnesia a little while ago. I also received a fabric pot and some organic nutrients.
I will be growing 2x Runtz. One plant will be growing in the fabric pot and the supplied nutrients and it will be named #1. The other plant i will be feeding with my own nutrients and growing in the Air pot i usually use and it will be named #2 😊
I will be vegging them under my HLG boards as you can see listed and i also took a picture of them for you guys to see.
I took a picture of the seed package i received so you can see the genetics there 😊
The two seeds where placed in a cup of tap water 15/5. They will be swimming around there for about 24 hours. Afterwards they will be placed in some wet paper towel between to dishes and placed in a warm and dark place 😁 Usually the seeds will be sprouting after 24-72 hours between the dishes. After that they will be placed in their first 1L pot, which you can also see a picture of 😉. Both of them will go into strait coco first and the when repotting it will be a mix of perlite and coco.
48 hours later 17/5 the seeds have sprouted and is planted in their pots 👆
Runtz #1 will be grown with the applied nutes and #2 will be with my own 😊
20/5 The girls have now appeared from the coco 👆
Going along nicely. Temperatures are because of the season a little hotter, but they are both growing careless 😊 As you can see number #1 is a little ahead of number #2, but things can still change 🤔
Another week has passed and everything is looking fine. The plants are steadily growing. Not that much to report on, nutes are still just keept at bare minimum 😁 The temperature is still quite high inside the veg room because of the season, but they both seem careless.
Temperatures have dropped a bit which is very nice 😊 They are both racing forward, #1 though still being in lead position 😂 They have both strarted smelling just a tiny bit.
Still growing strong. I will probably have to do some heavy training on them to slow down growth speed ☺️ Did a repotting since it was about time. Unfortunately i forgot to take pictures of most, so i hope you can imagine the process 😂
This has been some interesting days 😁 Since these two girls still got some time to go before there are room for them in the flowering room, I've had to do some serious training on them. First I've topped them at the fifth note and removed the bottom note, so I'm left woth four. Then i waited a couple of days while training out the branches left. Today I've then topped all the remaining tops. These girls are both growing at a crazy rate. Even though i bend, top and pinch them it doesn't even seem to slow them much down 😔 Still I'll continue training them hard to keep them growing slower 😉
Another week has passed. These to are still both growing at an extreme rate. I repotted them today since they heavily needed it 😊 I didn't add any of the flower mix this time since I'm going to repot them once more before flower phase is initiated.
I still do heavy training on them on a regular basis to try and slow the growth speed down and get them stronger 😁 One thing that is funny is that one pheno seems to be more sativa leaning and the other more indica leaning. Even though they smell almost identical. They both smell super chemmy, exactly like you expect from a chemdawg 🤔 i had a friend over who took a look at them without knowing what it was and immediately said "Ohh you're doing a new chemdawg run?".
So I'd be pretty amazed if these ended up smelling anything like candy or sweet regardless of genetics 😂
Well these girls have now officially totally outgrown me 😂 I'd really like to flower them right now, but unfortunately there is no room for them in the flower room 😢 They are still going super strong both though, one being sativa leaning and the other indica.
One note is that both plants smell super chem. I love personally love chem like strains. This seems weird though as to my understanding there should be no chem involved in a Runtz. If you buy these seeds and expect to get some fruity strain you are going to be very disappointed 😂 i don't know if I just received some messed up batch of seeds or this really are Zamnesia's true Runtz genetics 🤔
I've been real lazy updating on these girls since they are pretty much on standby. I had to move them out of my veg room since they got to big 😒 now they are standing at the window with a little artificial lighting, super annoying when you are living on ground floor and weed isn't exactly legal... but whatever i only live in the central of my capital city. Not much to tell otherwise, the girls definitely aren't thriving but they are surviving 😊 the only positive thing is that they are growing very slowly now 🤔
Finally they are about to be moved into the flower room since the other plants are flushed now 😁 They have been insanely resistant to the changing parameters I've exposed them to. I'm really surprised the way they have handled things 🤔 Gotta say this are some really hardcore and resistant genetics! The smell has started going from chem to some chem/cheese sweet like smell, real hard to describe. The plants are also starting to smell quite different to each other, but still there is no doubt they are the same strain 😊 The only annoying thing atm is that the bad light exposure has made them a more thin and skinny 😔
Well this has all been a mayor fail 😔 The plants had suffered a bit from being in the apartment, they had got a little draw and the temps got a little low from time to time, but nothing to bad. I decided to repot then before putting them in the flower room, but what a mistake. First of all the roots had like grow into the fabric pots making it a nightmare to remove them. Then i realize that the diameter of the pots are almost identical 😨 at that point i knew i had fucked up majorly.. In the end they got transplanted, but it was a rough treatment they absolutely didn't like which you can probably tell from the pics (which is taken two days after repotting). At least they have been so resistant all a long so i don't doubt they will survive it, I'm just a little worried how they will turn out in the end atm 😓
Well the girls have bounced back and are looking happy again. I did a defoliation on them since they were quite bushy and had a lot of leaves that weren't looking to good, because of the time on the sofa 😂 Anyways last week when i repotted them i added all what was left of the nutrients i received from Zamnesia to the coco mix. They are both stretching acceptable atm, but i bought a scrog net since i was afraid how big they would get. I'm going to apply even though I don't think i really have to 🤔 The runtz #1 is still much more sativa leaning than #2. Number #1 is the one on the right side in the pictures. They both smell almost identical, I'd say a sweet cheesy/chem like smell, but that can easily change 😊 Even though we got a heatwave going on locally with degrees being over 30 Celsius every day, the temps are actually not higher than they been the other years inside the growroom. Gotta love basements ❤️
So far so good. The girls aren't stretching too bad so everything is looking good 👍 I'm still very amazed by these genetics. I've never treated any plant as hard as these two, but they seem to thrive no matter what 😂 The smell is still going from a chem funk like smell to a more sweet pastry like smell with some hints of floral and fruits to it. It's gonna be fun to see what they will turn out like 🤔 I've never grown any of the genetics related to these plants, but if the grow continues to go this smooth and the smoke turns out potent enough I'll definitely be doing this one again 😁
Another great week. Both girls are doing real fine and have started frosting up. As you can probably tell from the pictures they have very different colors. Number one the indica looking one is deep dark green where number two the sativa looking one is bright lime green 😊 Both plants is in the not to smelly category, quite stealthy girls that just smell a bit like sugar 🤔
Well there is a lot to go through this week. I defoliated the girls a bit more mainly because they started to have some yellowing leaves. This then leads me to my next subject. I really don't believe these nutes are really meant for anything but soil. They don't seem to deliver the plants what they need so I've decided to just use my normal nutes from now on 😁 Besides that smell wise these two are funny. They literally have no smell coming of them which i find pretty rare at this stage of flowering. The only smell i can get off the when i touch the is a sweet sugar like smell. It's gonna be fun to see what they will end up like 😊
Not that much to tell on these girls, they are pretty much on auto pilot from here to harvest 😊 The only funny thing is how much the plants are starting to smell differently. The indica looking pheno is very berry, where the sativa leaning one is more chem/cheese/pungent to it but still with hints of fruits and berries 🤔 been kinda busy lately so updates have been slow sorry 🙏
Still looking great. Only bad thing to mention is that the plants most definitely have been affected by the heavy training, fucked up repotting and chilling on the couch session when it comes down to yeild. Compared to other plants I've had in this stage these two girls just send to be behind snd since they are flowering there is nothing to do about it now 😂
Still going strong. The indica looking pheno is really doing an impressive job at the moment. One thing is that it's literally is gaining weight at a rate visible by the eye day to day, another is that it's packing on crystals at an insane rate atm. It's definitely picking up on the looks of the sativa looking pheno 😍
These 2 plants are still the most diverse I've had from the same batch of seeds 🤔 Anyways both are looking very nice and the smell is getting quite intense. Other than that everything is pretty much on cruise control except for the fact that they can't handle their own weight anymore. So I'm constantly trying to support them so they won't snap 😉
Not much to tell everything is still going the same way. I've downed nutes since i will be flushing next week 😊 I've been a little slow with the updates since some retarded cyclist ran into me on the road so i fell and hit a car.. I'm starting to look like a regular person again now and I'm almost back to full capacity so updates should be more frequent from now on 😁
So this is the last week 😁 The smell is very intense at the moment. You are instantly smacked with the raw smell of weed when you get near the plants 😂 All in all the flowering phase has been a breeze and the timing with harvest is great. The flowers are about 10% amber and mainly milky for the rest, so they probably could have done a week more 🤔
