First grow under MaxsisunPB2000 quantum board LED - popped Strawberry Nuggets and Ewok OG from Mephisto Genetics by soaking for 12 hours in a shot glass and then soaking for another 12 hours in a moist paper towel in plastic ziplock on top of a seedling mat. Transferred as soon as i noticed tails into coco in an egg carton where they spent the first two days. Transferred to some cut out yogurt cartons filled with 70/30 FFOF/perlite and have been keeping soil moist with ph'd tap water that's been left out for 24 hrs. Strawberry Nuggets grew sideways in the yogurt container but quickly adjusted. Have been running the humidifier in ten to keep humidity up as temps have been hovering in the 80's here. Both plants so far have been growing without incident, hope to keep it that way!

Beginning of the second week saw both plants begin to pick up some steam. Skipped watering on day 9 as the soil was still wet from the previous day, but aside from that just watering when soil is dry. UPDATE: On Day 12 I noticed the roots starting to appear on the bottom of the yogurt container's clear lid's so I got ready to move to the 5 gal fabric pots filled with 70% FFOF 30% Perlite & 2/3 cups dolomite lime powder/pellet mix. The transplant went smoothly and the plants adjusted well. I believe I have been under watering after doing a bit more research, like half as much as what they should be getting... YIKES. After transplant I watered each pot with 40oz 6.0 ph'd filtered tap water. Both seem to be settling into the new space and I'm aiming to feed them each 64oz water only in 2 days.

Headed into week 3 and both plants seem to be taking off with new growth spots appearing every day. Slightly concerned about Cal/Mag issues for Ewok OG. Both plants are starting the 3rd week with .5 gal of water every 24 hr and I'll be aiming to increase this to a full gal by the end of the week with more time between feedings. Feeding with ph'd water only. UPDATE: Have definitely overwatered. Bottom of pots were extremely wet 24 hours after the last feeding. Will wait at least 3 days now to feed. Have extra fans going to try and dry out the bottoms, hopefully the plants will forgive me and some of the symptoms I'm seeing will be relieved after a few days. UPDATE (Day19): Let the pots dry out for 3.5 day's since the last over-watering. They bounced back nicely and are showing new growth sites everywhere. Started some LST today and watered each plant with 300 mL of 6.2 ph water. Let's see where this goes... UPDATE (Day 21 - END OF WEEK 3): Ok so - I am paying the price for my overwatering... I am learning on this first grow, that the soil needs MUCH longer than 24 hrs between watering, at least during this stage and with the amount I've been feeding. I made another mistake by feeding again too soon - after 24 hours from the prior feeding I fed 600 mL ph 6.0 water with a dose of Real Growers Recharge Natural Plant Growth Stimulant. I know now that the soil hadn't dried out enough because while both plants are exploding with new growth sites, they both display dark green leaves and show necrotic spotting on old and new growth. In fact, several leaves have cuts in them! UGH. It's minor damage thankfully, and I hope that the roots aren't too damp at this point. I'm waiting at least 3 days after this feeding to water again. Moved the lights up as the plants have grown and lights are sitting around 32 inches above the trained canopy, 24hrs full strength. Both plants have white pre-flowers coming in, so hopefully this trend will continue and they will be full on females - worried that the overwater and LST might be too much stress and at the very least they will be stunted. OH WELL FIRST TIMER BB! On to Week 4.

Day 15 noticing signs of over watering. After transplanting into 5 gal, I watered once every 24 hrs for 3 days with 2qts of water per plant. Definitely made a mistake and didn't let the soil dry out enough and am now seeing a slight yellowing of tips and faint brown spots. HELP?!

water fully, or in this case a radius slightly larger than canopy as it fills into pot, but still make sure it runs out the bottom, or you might not be saturating everything underneath the plant. then, wait for it to dry a bit as usual -- top 1" or so at this point is good. feel weight, yadda, yadda, yadda.. yellowing and browning won't be from overwatering. that'll be something related to pH or nutes (concentration and/or ratio). it's early and that's faint at best.. could just be typical growing pains of early leaves and the plant will be more robust in a week that it won't show.... wait and see a tad for sure.. make sure it is getting worse and not just a blemish. if you haven't been pH'in your fertilzied water and your water-only irrigations, do so now... let that clear up first. if you've been fertilizing the entire pot, the roots are likely hitting some minor buildup where roots did not exist before.. give a good run through of entire pot if you think that's okay, then resume the watering that i suggested above. that'll help dilute it back down, if it did happen.. allow your recent behaviour to elminate anything i suggest or someone else suggests... take the least intrusive routes first, especially when you have plenty of time to figure it out.

END of week #3 here and plants are displaying signs of over-watering (as described in description). Looking for some advice moving forward and your thoughts on how badly I may have stunted these.... Many thanks for your consideration!

I think they look healthy. the blemish i see in pic one may be a Ca deficiency, but don't blindly dump stuff in. check labels of what oyu have used. calculate ppms of everything and make a more educated decision. (i have a leaf-symptom chart in ggxww diary, week 3 .. ILGM also has a great rundown) anyway, water until 10-20% runoff. Helps avoid buildup and ensures full saturation. Feel weight. Get familiar with "full". Wait for top 1" to try. Feel weight. Get familiar with empty... any time it feels light, water it. you'll likely have a very regular schedule, but at some point it will change.. the plant will drink a lot more in bloom and so many more days of growth.

Plants seem to be rebounding from the overwatering symptoms, which included spotting necrosis on the leaves, old and new, and minor tears in newly formed leaves... yikes! They have continued to stretch nicely after the first LST and I've been tucking bigger leaves and using wire to hold down foliage to expose the smaller growth sites. These have really taken off now and I think I should be able to get them under the net soon. Both plants are showing female sex signs, including white hairs and some small calyx's. I'm watering every 48 hrs, increasing the water each time about 200 mL.

Kicking off week 5 right on track with both plants developing bud sites with flowers. Both plants are sprouting swollen pistils with amber hairs and the flower sites are sprouting white hairs. Have been feeding 1/4tsp per 1/2 gal of water to each plant once a week and feeding every 2-3 days - over-watering issues seem to be resolved and I let them dry until both plants were praying towards the light to feed again today. Fed today with straight water ph'd at 6.0 @ 1 gallon per plant - I'll be leaving town for 3 days and hope that this will sustain them - both pots had a slight amount of run off and the plants have been sprouting new growth / stretching happily since. I added an additional 100w LED quantum board to join the 250w that's been running - both made by Maxsisun, so far so good, running a bit hot but for a first timer, I'm pleased. Both plants are growing extremely rapidly and have been responding well to the tucking under the scrog and minor leaf adjustments here and there. Fingers x'd. UPDATE DAY 34: Plants survived my absence and exploded after a feeding of recharge yesterday on Day 33. Woke up today and continued to tuck branches and leaves under the net - this is much easier with the Ewok OG which has a nice stretch between nodes and bud sites. Strawberry Nuggets on the other hand is so stout and bushy that I'm having to tuck the larger leaves underneath more than anything to expose the multiple bud sites underneath the mains - most of the lower branches have between 6-8 secondary growth sites that are now exposed to the light, excited to see where that goes and I'm hoping for more stretch from this plant to be able to continue to stretch the lower branches horizontally along the net. Installed a 6in oscillating fan upside down to bring down the 88f temps that I found upon my return and am happy to report that the temps are back down to 78-80f and 50%RH - hopefully I can maintain this as the July heat continues to develop. Plants seem happy so far and it is really amazing to watch them unfold/grow into the netting - lower bud sites are developing just as rapidly and densely as the mains. Hoping to see a little more stretch from both of these plants horizontally over the next few days before leaving them be and watching them reach for the stars.

Greetings - Looking for help identifying leaf spotting, these spots are found on only a few leaves and I suspect it's residual damage from over watering, but any other help/suggestions are welcome - feeding is in description, thanks for your help!!

I can see she has recently been overwatered and seems to have bounced back nicely, could be a lot worst! It could be a form of deficiency or light burn. Need to back off or dim lights as they are no longer properly going through photosynthesis when overwatered. And deficiencies will pop up as well. Just keep a reduced par during overwatered period and don’t overwater.

Week 6 is under way and so is summer - having a hard time keeping the heat down in the tent and its hovering around 80-82 during the day - I have an intake fan blowing air on the drivers and this seems to be helping. Also raised lights and switched schedule from 24 to 20-4 to bring temps down - plants have started frosting up and are looking pretty happy despite my heavy handed watering. Left them for 3 days between the last feeding and gave them straight water after the first feed of the Roots Terp Tea. I've stopped tucking branches to let them stretch vertically now and to avoid disturbing the bud sites. Keeping fingers crossed that things continue to move smoothly! Tips or advice always welcome!

Starting off week 7 by top dressing some Uprising Bloom feed by Aurora - gave each plant 2 teaspoons sprinkled on top followed by 1 gal of 6.2ish ph'd water. The Ewok OG has been flowering like crazy over the past 2 weeks and the buds are stacking up, developing frost while the pistil's have exploded and are now starting to turn amber at the tips. Lights are about 23 inches from the top cola and dimmed to about 80 percent - I also raised the scrog net by about 4-5 inches as both plants seem to want to stretch - currently they're both really stretched out and I hope that they will reach vertically more in the coming days. Slight bit of burning going on with both plants that I'm assuming is coming from the nutrient rich soil and my heavy handed watering errors, they seem happy otherwise. Foliage is thick with Strawberry Nuggets and I am struggling to find ways to make room for the lower bud sites - wondering if I should consider defoliating some of the thicker stuff that is constantly having to be tucked under/ the big leafs under the scrog? They all seem pretty happy so I've been reluctant to cut anything other than the occasional leaf here and there. The Ewok is about a week ahead of SN at this point in terms of flower development - we'll see if she decides to catch up or if she'll run a little longer than expected. Temps have been consistent at 78-80F with 48-52%RH which I am thankful for given the current heatwave. I have 5 fan's going in this 3x3x8 so I'm feeling good about airflow at the very minimum. Please leave comments and advice for me, first grow!
