Week 1 Veg
Next up in the Fox's Den is Pineapple Kush by Royal Queen Seeds 🍍 I'm interested to see what kind of terps we'll find with this girl as I've tried a few "pineapple" strains in the past. Some live up to the name but probably most of them don't.
Shout out and thanks again to RQS for this girl, I'm sure she'll be a beauty just like the rest 🍍🔥
Popped in a paper towel, in a bag.
After transplanting her into a cup, I spray the inside of the bag I used to germinate in and put it over the top of the cup like a humidity dome. This is left on for her first full day above the coco to keep her nice and moist. She was also given only pH'd water until day 3, where she was given a light Cal-Mag feed.
Her base nutrients will be introduced on Day 8. (I use 150-190ppm tap water, changing to RO in near future)
Thanks for following! 🐺
Week 2 Veg
Still a happy, healthy seedling.
At the start of the week she was given per ltr; 0.8ml Cal-Mag, .3/.3/.3ml G/M/B. Her nutrients were then increased slightly later on (listed above), with her base nutrients gradually changing to a ratio of 3:2:1 G:M:B.
Her leaves already smell surprisingly strong when rubbed, a very fruity aroma. Looking forward to the next update 👍
Thanks for following! 🐺
Week 3 Veg
The Pineapple Kush is coming along nicely.
Her nutrient strength has gradually been increased as shown above. Honey and Epsom Salts have also been added to the mix.
She was supposed to have been transplanted on Day 18 but she was looking a slight pale green. My pH was slightly off so I recalibrated my pen, reset the soils pH by flushing with 5.80pH water and then topped her up with a nutrient feed. Since doing this she's really kicked back into life and shot up much faster. She's looking a perfect healthy green and is due to be transplanted and topped on Day 22 when she's next due a feed.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 4 Veg
A lot has happened in the past week for this girl. She's been transplanted into a 3ltr plastic pot (I think I'll use 5ltr in future). She's also been topped a couple of times and tied down a little bit to allow her lower growth to catch up to the top of the canopy.
She's happy and healthy every day.
I did lower my overall veg nutrient feed for my whole garden too as I think I was slightly toxic in N. Not enough to cause any issues, just slightly dark leaves. If left to progress and get worse, it can cause slow growth and lockout other nutrients. I haven't seen any toxicity in this girl but changing it for the whole garden 👍
I've also added activated/stretched EM1 into my garden. This will simply add more beneficial microbial life into the coco. These will then help make more nutrients in the coco available for the plants roots to uptake. Since adding, my whole garden has seemed even happier and generally more healthier.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 5 Veg
Nothing much to update this week apart from showing her healthy new growth 👌👍 I also untied her as her lower nodes had caught up with the top.
She's looking to be a nice strong girl. She also needs to be transplanted (and maybe topped again) as soon as possible, these 3ltr pots are slightly too small. I would have done it this week but couldn't find time to get to the hydro shop!
Looking forward to the next update!
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 6 Veg
This girl really hasn't had the best of luck recently. I wanted to have her transplanted a while ago but been far too busy to get the smart pot! She was finally transplanted at the end of the week but before then, I accidentally snapped one of her branches when moving her in/out the tent for a maintenance flush 🙈
Fortunately it didn't snap off completely, so I taped it up to try help it heal and continue to grow. I've done this before so hopefully she'll be ok, although the tape I had wasn't the best. It still done the job..
Now that she's finally been transplanted she'll start to bounce back to perfect health. After the stress she's been through I'm thinking maybe a week and a half at least before she's thrown into flower.
She's still looking healthy but just feeling my torture!
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 7 Veg
Nothing has changed this week for this Pineapple Kush girl. She's looking a lot happier and healthier since she was first transplanted. She can sometimes look beaten up but that's just from me bending her tallest tops daily.
I'm gonna let this girl go another full week before going into flower.
She has very strong tropical smelling leaves, even in veg, so I'm really looking forward to getting this girl in the flower tent.
I've also changed Cal-Mag as this is the only stuff my hydro shop stocks now. It seems a little watery and isn't as concentrated as the growth tech Cal-Mag, but it seems to be working well and all my girls are happy so no complaints so far.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 8 Veg
Again, nothing changed this week in Veg. I've been getting this girl as big and healthy as possible after one of her main branches was snapped almost completely off less than 2 weeks ago. She's recovered very well and looking beautiful. Her leaves are still smelling very tropical; probably the strongest smelling leaves I've had in the Den so hopefully her flowers will be strong in both aroma and taste 💪
She's now in flower after being thrown into the flower tent on Day 55 Veg/Day 0 Flower.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 1 Flower
We're finally in flower with this stunning Pineapple Kush girl! She's got beautiful big green leaves, with a tropical and sweet aroma all over her.
She's been in the flower tent for a full week now, under a 315w CMH, and she's loving it. She's thriving well and stretching towards the light. I've raised her up a bit to bring her closer to the average canopy height within the tent, but not quite level to compensate for her early stretching. She's not yet been lollipopped, but given a minor defoliation up top to ensure direct light on each top. I also opened her up with a few strings in her quarter, as you can see. If you've seen my garden before you'll know that it's not intended as a SCROG, but just to open her up. She'll be given a good lollipop and defoliation early next week, and a 2nd about a week after.
In regards to her feed; Liquid Silicon was increased slightly to help keep her thick and strong throughout stretch, along with Calmag and Epsom salts. Her base nutrients are now levelled at a 1:1:1 (G:M:B) ratio during transition. Throughout the transitional period the solution is set to 5.9pH, then going onto 6.0pH when in full bloom. This is just to make it slightly easier for the plant to uptake the specific nutrients it needs at this stage, whilst not fluctuating too much to stress her.
Looking forward to the next update!

Week 2 Flower
This girl was given another lollipop later in the week, and stripped of her big fan leaves a few times to increase light penetration. She was also given a maintenance flush on Day 14 to reduce any salt build up in the coco or around the roots. I add EM1 to all of my flushes now, as the stuff goes ridiculously far and keeps a healthy population of microbes in the coco. She was then topped up with the new adjusted nutrient feed listed above.
She seems to have already slowed down her stretch to produce flowers, but she could still get a little bit taller within the next week. Because of this, I already started to adjust her base nutrients towards the 1:2:3 (G:M:B) Bloom ratio after her maintenance flush.
Overall, she's looking very happy and healthy and praying all day.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 3 Flower
This week the Pineapple Kush was given a maintenance flush and fed the full 1:2:3 (G:M:B) ratio bloom feed straight after. She carried on stretching only a little bit, and is nicely stacked with bud sites.
She's been building well and frosting up already. She looks like she'll be caked in trichomes in a few weeks ❄️ it's still very early for her true aroma to come through, but nonetheless she's already smelling very tropical 🍍 looking forward to watching her build 💪
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 4 Flower
This Pineapple Kush girl has been building well and frosting up, but she's showing clear issues. As you may know, I've recently had pH issues throughout my garden due to a faulty pH pen. I have since bought a new one and thought this girl was ok, but it seems she's not. From first look I'd day her pH is far too high, possibly locking out potassium And other nutrients. She has bronzing leaves towards the top and burn spots around mid growth on a few leaves. At the start of the week I simply gave her a small maintenance flush and re-feed but apparently it wasn't enough. Chlorine damage from my tap water could also be the cause but I doubt that as I've never had issues before. I gave her another maintenance flush, but this time slightly more water and also at a lower pH of approx 5.65. After this, I gave her a full strength bloom feed including Ripen. This should give her a nice PK boost. Silicon was stopped this feed, on day 28. There wasn't a big salt build up in the coco either; it was around the expected amount at this time in her cycle.
I'm not worrying too much just yet as she looks very happy and praying towards the light at all times. She's also still building very well and packing on the trichomes 💪❄️
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 5 Flower
As mentioned in last week's update, she was having high pH issues. This was since corrected and she's looking much happier and healthier! The damage that was done has set and is now clear, as shown in the pics. It hasn't progressed any further this week so all is well.
Considering she clearly had issues, she's still been concentrating on building and frosting up beautifully. She's stacked very well, with a strong tropical citrus smell 🍍
Carrying on from day 28, she's been given Ripen as a PK boost for this week only. A lot of people assume it simply ripens the buds and trichomes quicker a week before flush, but it's simply a PK booster. Due to her high pH last week I've been keeping each feeding around 5.9pH.
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 6 Flower
This Pineapple Kush girl is getting thicker by the day and looking beautiful. She smells dank as fuck, with tropical/fruity aromas and a lot of gas ⛽ something I'm looking extremely forward to 👌
Ripen has been stopped this week. You don't want to feed them a PK booster for more than a week. FloraGro was also cut out of her feed. A small amount of FloraMicro was being given at the start of the week, but soon stopped. The same amount of FloraBloom is being given this week to finish her off, before starting flush next week.
I can't wait to take this girl down ✂️
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 7 Flower
We've finally started flush 💦 on Day 43. I still run EM1 at 1ml/ltr as it goes a long way once activated/stretched. It's always going to be a benefit to keep any microbes you can in the coco. You can also use Mammoth P throughout flush, but due to its price I just stick to EM1 in flush. There's plenty of other microbes that can be used too.
I flush around twice the pots' volume at 6pH. But before flooding the pot I slowly pour water through the centre of the pot, around the stem, in order to take a true reading of the ppm and pH of the run off. If the ppm/ec reads a lot higher than your average feeding throughout bloom, then there's been issues such as a lockout, incorrect pH, over feeding etc. This wasn't the case, as this girls' was at the right level. If the pH is too high or low, I adjust the pH of the rest of the water that'll be flushed to try to fix it. Again, this wasn't the case with this girl as she had a perfect pH 👌👍
Just before all of the water has gone through the pot, I take one last reading from her last bit of run off. The ppm should be down to no more than 100ppm for the first flush (+starting ppm of water if using tap water). After the first flush the ppm value of the run off will quickly go all the way down to 0, or at least below 50ppm (+tap water ppm). I use tap water that is between 150-190ppm, but I'm looking to switch to RO as soon as I can. I still get a very good flush, but I think using RO water will be the next step in getting a more thorough flush as it won't contain even the small amount of nutrients and metals that tap water contains (along with any harmful chemicals). Always remember to bubble or let the water sit for 24-48hrs before feeding to your plants. That goes for all feedings in every stage of growth if using tap water.
Because I keep fairly low temps in the Den she's starting to turn a beautiful dark purple. Her buds are still swelling and smelling like a nice gassy OG, with hints of citrus/tropical fruits. I'm really looking forward to taking this girl down, but after at least another week!
Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
Week 8 Flower
This was the last week in The Fox's Den for this stunning Pineapple Kush girl by Royal Queen Seeds. She smells dank asf and still super gassy (which is something I absolutely love ⛽) she was flushed all week with 6pH water for each flushing (I use tap water between 150-190ppm). She was taken down on Day 56 to finish off a great 8 weeks. Her fan leaves were taken off and she was hung in a box, where she'll dry as slowly as possible for between 6-10 days. The slower the dry the better the buds will taste/smell. Once she's dry enough she'll be trimmed and jarred for curing.
Thank you to everyone who's been following and showing support, it's always greatly appreciated ✌️ I'll be uploading the harvest update a soon as possible so keep an eye out!
Happy growing! 🐺
The Pineapple Kush was a stunner all round. She has heavily stacked cola's filled with thick, dense buds. She has a nice strong structure in veg and flower, and had an average stretch.
She's a pleasure to grow and came out in some beautiful purple winter colours throughout flush. It seems that the full spectrum of the CMH is letting every strain I put under it fade into their nice purple winter colours (with some more than others). Each and every bud is covered in trichomes and has a dank gassy (not a diesel) smell and taste ⛽ a typical Kush, but she definitely has a taste of her own. At this point shes only had about a week to cure, so still not the full flavour/aroma. She's a strong smoke so best to toke after work to wind down, or on a relaxing weekend. Another must have Kush by Royal Queen Seeds 👌 thanks guys! ✌️🐺
Thank you to everyone who has been following, commenting and liking each week, it's always appreciated. It was a good run with this girl, with surprising, stunning purple colours to finish. She was dried for 7 days before being dry trimmed and jarred for curing.
Because I have 4 seperate plants/strains in one tent, under one light, I've had to calculate these by dividing the conditions by 4 (4 plants in total sharing same conditions). This is the fairest and only way to work it out properly.
Happy growing! 🐺
I got sent some of this off @whitewidow really nice smoked I’m goner grow this strain out of the three he sent this was my favourite I’m goner follow you on this one
@biggreens420, cheers mate ✌️ since this week the damage has become more clear but not progressed, so I'll be able to take pics for you to see. It wasn't enough to photograph here.. she's still building well and looking happy though so she'll be alright 👍🐺
Cheers @CaliGrown ✌️ her sweet tropical notes are definitely coming out now 👌 but my pheno is definitely an OG leaner (which is great for me personally!) 🔥🐺
Gratz my friend ! another good diary and harvest 👌
It's really great to follow your adventure !
Enjoy your med, these buds are like jewelry 😍
Good work bro like usual
