The plant has been shooting up over the last week. I tried to switch to bloom nutes to instigate flowering but she was having none of it, continuing to stretch and now exhibiting clear N def. Have now given her a big feed with added seaweed, epsom salt, and a little PK boost to get her going.
First purple strain I've grown so can't wait to start seeing some colour - probably in the next two weeks.
Overall she's a gangly plant and after her bottom leaves are truly drained she'll be lollipopped about halfway up.
@Zannabis7, Thanks a lot mate. My two 3BOG grew to a nice height, just right for my tent, but I underestimated this one so hence the weird bending. Looks like she's stopped stretching now though so that should do it.
Thanks for the update. Looking very nice. I love the shot of the strong bend on the main stem. I never have enough courage to make such a strong bend out of fear of snapping the main stem! Continued best wishes on the grow.
Don’t panic yet, I have the real Bay Area GSC and it naturally blacks out at week 5. But the first half of flower it’s Forrest Green? Lol. I also grew a purple kush a few years back that only changed weeks 6-7. So sometimes it’s more than just cold weather. It’s a hormone switch in heavy or near end flower.
@bobo420, Thanks mate. I know. They've got a good wobble on them when I pick them up. Those colas getting heavy.
Edit: oops thought you were talking about the 3BOG. But this one is doing well too
Nice update, some good looking buds ;)
As of purple, you can try lowering your (night) temperature, if you can, by a few degrees. It shold 'jump start' them to bring that purple out.
@bobo420, Yeah I hear that. Not sure there's much I can do about it unfortunately. When it looks more or less done I can take it out the tent and leave it in a cold room for a few days. Maybe that will bring out some last colour.
