ForestGreen Not taking off this one but doing just fine. Quite a short and squat stature so far. Had some pretty low humidity which hasn't helped growth but everything's on track now. Should see some movement over the next week.

ForestGreen Still not the biggest plant for week 3 but doing just fine. Some pretty heavy side branching this week which makes it look like this plant won't favour one dominant cola. First time growing a purple strain so I hope it really shows some colours.

ForestGreen This plant has shot up over the last week. Practically doubled in size. Long branching and it's main cola soon over took the other plants in my tent in week 7. I can't let them grow much taller so I've transitioned to bloom nutes early.
Did some lollipopping of the lower branches. Huge internodal spacing on this one. Won't be a result of temperatures so I think it's just the strain. Very leggy plant.
She was easily growing over an inch a day and so had to supercrop the main cola for a bit more space. She's in recovery and looks to have put an extra couple of inches on since.

ForestGreen The plant has been shooting up over the last week. I tried to switch to bloom nutes to instigate flowering but she was having none of it, continuing to stretch and now exhibiting clear N def. Have now given her a big feed with added seaweed, epsom salt, and a little PK boost to get her going.
First purple strain I've grown so can't wait to start seeing some colour - probably in the next two weeks.
Overall she's a gangly plant and after her bottom leaves are truly drained she'll be lollipopped about halfway up.

ForestGreen N def advanced quickly on this plant while I didn't pay attention for a day. Fortunately it stopped pretty quickly after a heavy feed and is now concentrating on making flowers so has been given a PK boost.
Slight bit of purple colour starting to show on the inside of the buds which should become much more visible in the next week.
This was a free strain for winning the October Diary of the Month. I got 10 of these from Seedsman. I haven't always been impressed by Seedsman strains but I did like their White Widow and this plant seems to have some good genetics. Putting out some frost on the leaves and it's got a smell slightly resembling sick. What is that? Had plenty of top class bud in the past that smelled of sick.

ForestGreen Buds are starting to bulk up now. I've been disappointed not to see more purple. The temps here are pretty cold - think it's getting down to about 16c with lights off, but still not much colour. I also thought (given it's name) that this would just naturally purple. I was even wondering if a seed had got mixed in, but I can see a slight bit of purple on the inside and just hope that becomes more prominent as it really starts flowering properly.
The plant continued to have a slight deficiency with one of two leaves turning a pale colour but it's slow and nothing to worry about. May have even stopped now as it goes into proper flower and it's certainly getting enough food.
Has an interesting smell. Flowery and sweet. Kind of a refreshers sweets smell. Very different to the OG funk from the 3BOG.
Seems to be doing well for week 7 and look forward to those buds filling up.

ForestGreen Seems like a bit of a slow week. Not much visible bud growth, though I'm sure they have. Looks like this strain will have quite loose buds too. Still not getting any purple either. Very slight amount coming through as seen in pictures - enough to prove it's the right strain. Hoping to see a chance of autumn colours soon.
Just ordered some Green Planet Nutrients Massive as a flowering booster so maybe that will give them a kick. Full of plant hormones and stimulants.
At least 3 weeks left to go on this one.

ForestGreen Still waiting for this strain to properly purple up. Doesn't look like she will particularly now, although there is definitely some purple in the buds.
The buds have remained quite loose, even foxtaily, but they've got a nice smell of sweets which has been a lot lighter than the OG funk from the 3BOG.
Introduced Green Planet Massive as a flowering stimulator. Quite late in the grow but it says to use right up until last week so I might as well. Lots of stimulants in there but doubt I'll see any noticeable difference now.
Another week or 2 left.

ForestGreen Starting to finish up now. The main cola bent over is getting lower to the ground all the time as the final weight stacks on. Some purple in the buds - not as much as I would have liked, but increased towards the end.
Has an interesting smell of sweets and flowers. Buds aren't too dense at all but I think they'll have some flavour.
Just on plain water now until the end.
@Zannabis7, Thanks a lot mate. My two 3BOG grew to a nice height, just right for my tent, but I underestimated this one so hence the weird bending. Looks like she's stopped stretching now though so that should do it.
Thanks for the update. Looking very nice. I love the shot of the strong bend on the main stem. I never have enough courage to make such a strong bend out of fear of snapping the main stem! Continued best wishes on the grow.
Don’t panic yet, I have the real Bay Area GSC and it naturally blacks out at week 5. But the first half of flower it’s Forrest Green? Lol. I also grew a purple kush a few years back that only changed weeks 6-7. So sometimes it’s more than just cold weather. It’s a hormone switch in heavy or near end flower.
@bobo420, Thanks mate. I know. They've got a good wobble on them when I pick them up. Those colas getting heavy.
Edit: oops thought you were talking about the 3BOG. But this one is doing well too
Nice update, some good looking buds ;)
As of purple, you can try lowering your (night) temperature, if you can, by a few degrees. It shold 'jump start' them to bring that purple out.
@bobo420, Yeah I hear that. Not sure there's much I can do about it unfortunately. When it looks more or less done I can take it out the tent and leave it in a cold room for a few days. Maybe that will bring out some last colour.
