Hello fellow Growers. I am very to be part of this community again. 🙏
To update you guys : I got busted a few months ago. The reason for the police raids was the smell of my previous harvest. I had dried the harvest and put it in glass jars. To have the buds in the pots aired a bit, I had opened the pots. The smell was apparently so strong that the police had smelled this. No joke! 😡
Since I had only a limited number of plants and I do not steal electricity or do other criminal things, it will all be okay. I hope.
In the meantime, I've been working on making a new growingroom, and I have invested in new high-tech material from DimLux. Which I'll hope to show you more soon. 👻
8 out of 10 have germinated
DAY 11 : I will probably have to remove #8 because she is not doing so well.
DAY 14 : The last 3 days they grew very fierce. Their stems are already pretty firm. 💪
2x Dimlux 600 Watt/400 volt ballast; Dimlux maxi Controller, Dimlux aux/fan box ; Torin 1500m³ exhaust Fan box; Torin 750m³ blow-in Fan box ; Can carbon filter CAN125bft, Dimlux plant temperature camera, humidity & temperature probes
DAY 32 After repotting one week ago, now first time watering :
10 liter water and 50ml Plagron Start-up in each flat wooden bin (120cmx120cm; covered with pond foil) and let the plants suck it up
The plants are now growing well, and therefore I try to increase the VPD to the value 1.
Plant height : #2 = 32 cm ; #7 = 25 cm ; the rest : 28-29 cm
DAY 37 Plants are growing excelent ! I have had to rearrange the pots to get a nice flat canopy. Topping and defoliation will result in an even more flat canopy.
Ranking by height :
1. C99 (Female seeds)
2. Sex Bud (Female seeds)
3. Royal Gorilla (RQS)
4. Roayl AK (RQS)
5. Somango XL (RQS)
6. Royal Cookies (RQS)
DAY 49 since the seeds were put in the ground
= DAY 7 of the bloom (height : 59-65 cm)
The first week of the flowering phase is over. The Gorillas all look very similar. Nice growth and hopefully an equally bloom.
63 days since sowing / 21 days since blooming
Last time defloration and removing the lower branches that remain under the lightsurface
Height : 75 -82 cm
49 days or 7 weeks of blooming. Now they are really maturing and the buds are getting harder. I really like these Royal Gorillas.
I also took a plant outside in the sun for a photo shoot, because the light is so beautiful. Enjoy...
Plants are almost ready to harvest.
6 pictures of the same bud. 3 with flash, 3 without flash.
RQS Royal Gorilla is a very easy to grow strain. Firm branches, Enormous fat buds. Relatively fast flowering. Nice colors. Incredible smell. High yield
63 DAYS = 9 weeks blooming ; last week only water
Last day before chopping them down.
Because of space shortage I had to harvest them all at the same time.
I can't wait to give you an extensive smell, taste and effect report !
@biggreens420, Thx, bro. You are absolutely right about the feeding. The first 20 days the plants were given only the food that was present in the soil of Plagron Lightmix. They have not received any extra food all this time. Now I have repotted them to 12l. containers filled with Palgron Royalmix and given a bit of nutrition during repotting. The new shoots are nicely dark green. I will soon be removing those yellowish lower leaves.
Amazing set up and the diary/grow is looking good this week with the exception of the yellowing lower leaves. Perhaps needing a bit more nitrogen? Best wishes on the grow!
@Oyziphar, Yes, I have seen this before. But I generally see the yellowing in the upper leaves when a plant is growing fast and/or stretching - not the lower leaves. Anyhow, nitrogen would have likely prevented this in my opinion. Take it for what it's worth. Glad to hear all is well now for the grow!
@Zannabis7, The fastest growing plants (C99, Sexbud and Gorillas) suffered most from yellow leaves (nitrogen shortage). The slowest growing plants are the Royal Cookies (see other diary) and you can see that the leaves (in week 4) have all remained green. They showed no lack of nitrogen, because of their slow growth.
The thing is, Oz, with all these friends of yours, is Cindy friends with Gorilla? I really need to know. Thanks bud.
As a friend of Cindy, I am really hoping she'll invite me to the party. ;-)
Excellent work and congrats.
@Mr_Positivo, They are close friends. We are all having a great party. Thx for your nice comment !
