Slow week, more science.
Big plant is putting on fairly normal looking leaves. The flowering clones seem to top themselves.
Humic substances, I decided to play around a bit being interested in the chemistry. Let me just say, not for fogger based systems.. The large molecule of humic acid especially does its job and chelates all the free ions. Great. Now the fogger cant seem to atomize such a large molecule.. I am sure in systems where the roots are directly in contact with the humic acid, it does as advertised. I may continue experimenting with fulvic acid but that's it for the humic.
Considering just switching these girls. Again, for science. To see if I can even yeild off such immature plants.
@Cannabot,
Your guess is as good as mine😂 I am very new at this, second grow ever. I am looking to experiment and change things up for the sake of science and keeping it fresh. I tend to hurt my plants alot and had my first plant "herm" These clone are not from that plant.
Thanks for stopping in, excited to go through your content🤗
Never saw a setup that takes advantage from root pruning!! Great!! There's a day for that on moon calendar, take a search!
Also, I do believe that your leaves are being burned by the light!
@Psilocubensis,
All about trying things, for me. Thanks for the concern about the lights👍but believe me they are really weak. The small plants are getting 100-200ppfd and the tall plant is getting 350ppfd at the top.
Hey buddy, I've noticed pretty much anything organic will gunk up pumps and sprayers. In recirculating systems this seems doubly true.
I'm pretty sure humics and fulvics are usually organically sourced.
Roots are looking great 👍 Not sure what kind of lights those are, but it's possible those are why the leaves on the back plants are a little funky. The 2 in front are looking good😎
IMO trying new stuff is the most fun part of growing. Good luck, and have fun experimenting!
@Animatey,
I think the mutated leaves are the plants trying to flower and veg, but I could be wrong. 3 of the clones were flowering when I took them, and the small good looking plant was not. I am happy to see the big plant started to put on some normal leaves, so I do think that has something to do with it. As for the humics, yeah gunk city, massive molecules and dirty looking roots. I'll try again in soil one day. But as for the lights, small plants are getting about 7500 lux and the tall one about 9k, I hope that's not enough to cause issues.🤷♂️ I've been taught well, I dont think they're burning😏
