8/10-8/16
Nutrient schedule is feed twice water once. Cal-mag and molasses once a week
8/10. Both plants received significant defoliation today. Both are starting to get nice and frosty. Week of sept 10-16 is anticipated harvest window.
8/12 noticing some yellowed tips, more so on the Bubba Kush, assuming the soil is getting a bit overloaded. Next scheduled watering is just plain blended water, so I'll water till there's a bunch of runoff to clear out some built up salts.
8/13 Soil tested today. Watered both with 85 oz blended water. Both plants in range with TDS (reading on meter is 3 for PZ and 4 for BK with 3-7 being normal) BK soil pH= 6.3 and PZ = 6.4. Dehumidifier now setup and running in tent, trying to keep RH around 45-47. Pistils on Bubba now turning orange and drying up. Peyote still trying to bulk up and fill in between nodes. Overall this has been about my easiest grow to date.
8/15 both plants showing signs of an issue. On the PZ the leaf tips are all curling up, and on BK the edges of leaves are curling up. I'm going to assume that since I cut out the "flora-grow" last week that its not Nitrogen toxicity, so that leaves the 2 most likely culprits to be either over watering, (entirely possible since they got a mini flush on 8/13, or light distance. So since today is scheduled feeding day, I'll withhold the watering until tomorrow unless it gets "wilty" this afternoon. Been struggling to keep humidity down during lights out, usually sitting around 55% when lights first come on. Leaving tent about 1/3 unzipped during its lights on cycle which keeps rH at about 47-48. Go figure...immediately after saying it's been my easiest grow so far, problems begin to show up...lol
8/16 Leaves on PZ still curling tips upwards. Withheld their feeding/watering yesterday, and today gave each 1/2 their usual amount. RH was a much more appropriate 47% at lights on this morning. Checked trichomes this morning, starting to see a very few cloudy ones. Probably will feed with 1/2 recommended nutrients this next week and then begin with just pH'd water for what should be the last couple of weeks.
@Thewendigo, yes its getting frosty, (not nearly as much so as the Bubba Kush though), the big notice is the smell, one of the sweetest smelling varieties I've grown so far!! I am impressed enough that I started another PZ outside, (usually don't grow the same strain back to back) setting her up for my first attempt at "scrogging". She'll be brought in to the tent as soon as this run is finished up and flipped to flower about 10 days later.
@DunDerma, thanks. Cant believe I missed the seeds. I mean I spend time with my plants nearly every day, never saw a male flower, and missed the developing seeds. I hope her room mate didn't get it as well. I guess I shouldn't gripe though, its still good sticky icky and its only for personal consumption so its really a non issue as long as they're not completely loaded
@Thewendigo, Having the exact same germ ratio with the Bubba Kush strain also from Seedsman. I'm going to sow a couple more today and if the results are the same I guess I'll be shopping a different seed bank. Seedsman prices are good, but only if the genetics are stable.
