What materials should I use for LST and step by step directions or is it worth it at this point. Nervous do not want to jeopardize my yield.

You can use twist/garden ties, something hopefully with a softer plastic. If you just have wire you can always cut a straw and use it as tubing for the wire too. Just remember the point of LST is to manage the height of your plant, maintain an even canopy, as well as expose your lower growth sites to light as your new growth shades it out. As your plant matures obviously the stalk with become more rigid meaning you’ll have to bend the stalk at a higher point from the soil. You can start your LST now, but it will be minimal. You’ll just really need to bend the main to one side of the pot and tie it. It’ll firm up in that shape and you can continue to tie it down as she grows. No harm if you wait a bit too as you’ll probably end up cropping that lower growth in the end anyways. If you see the 4th/6th week of my diary you can see how tall my plants were when I started LST. Happy growing

Hello The plants are looking great this week. I was a little curious why you arent using the Grow Big instead of the Tiger Bloom while its in the vegetative state, but if its working then good. For the LST you'll want to keep some plant twist ties around, they sell at any garden store and even Walmart or home depot. Since you went and topped all the plants you could wait a week for them to recover from that and begin lst, otherwise i don't think you would have any problems with starting now nice and gently. Happy growing. ✌️

I'm using Tiger bloom instead of big bloom because during this process ive pretty much been learning as i go, trying to network and ask questions and trust judgements of people with more experience than me. I met a guy that owns a local dispensary he explained to me the trio of

Nutrients to get I must of misunderstood him but he told me if I did encounter a problem to flush them with just pHd water a few times . luckily I haven't encountered any nutrient burn yet. But once again just learning as I go and asking as many questions as possible. Thanks!

Anchor it in opposite direction you intend to bend it down. This should be fairly low on trunk (apical meristem). Bend between axillary growth, so that each can grow vertically. Try to shape and bend it with fingers, first. Get it in a good shape by bending in multiple spots that are close together. it doesn't have to be 90-degrees at one point, but you want to approach or reach horizontal above the bend on apical meristem. The restraint - tie, twist ties, whatever - just holds back hyrdostatic pressure. You may need one to prevent an arch forming. The more even it is, the more even the growth can be. Height of the axillary growth will have a say about dominance too. Bend things down and other shoots will catch up quickly.

I'm week 9 pretty much , is it to late to cut off any access fan leaves? Should I leave it be? Or should I give them a neat trim?

Unless you're having issues with high RH, you're best bet is to leave her alone. The amount of extra help defoliating could give certain buds is eclipsed by the plants recovery time this late in the game. Remember, you can always remove a few leaves without her noticing much though, so if you have 1 or 2 really causing you an annoyance, cut em up!

Hey Growmie, I'm an avid believer of defoliation, but I wouldn't advise it at this point just to make sure you prevent stress during the flowering stage. If you were going to do anything like defoliation, trimming, etc ... you should always do it before Week 3 of flower so no stress is induced. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember "Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

Heya! At this point I would leave the fan leaves rather than potentially stressing the plant out late flower. I have seen growers have more success with less defoliation during flower with a side by side comparison. Cheers !

You are close to harvest, so there is no point in defoliating at this point. That been said, you can do it if you want, just don't expect to do much.
