-----WEEK 2----- -----Day 8----- No watering/feeding today. Stretch has hit 4-6 inches in height so far from original canopy height, half way into stretch period. This is great news for me, as I have lessened the Nitrogen and veg micro/macro fertilizer regiment and from here on out will only be topping off nitrogen if lower fan leaves begin yellowing. All leaves currently are fine. Younger shoots are showing a "little" bit of low nitrogen light green growth but the ones I marked yesterday to watch out for are today a healthy dark green so It's more likely just new growth coloration. New leaves are literally coming out and becoming mature in under 36~ hours. Closer to under 24~ hours. Wedding Cake is a FAST grower! I expect another 2-4 inch stretch total. Tent can sustain up to 6 more inches in height not directly under the 1000 watt hood, and 3-4 inches under the hood without light levels breaking 100,000 lumens/lux... whatever the appropriate term is, I always mix them up. Internode spacing is extremely tight, and new shoots and leaves are popping out and tiny new shoots and leaves are popping out of those new ones as well. This compact growing is the exact growth I was pruning for and I couldn't be happier PIC 7 & PIC 8: Wedding Cake: Underneath the ScrOG netting, you'll see in pictures 7 that there are small short stem leaves coming out of the main trunk near the soil base. I hope these remain this height and will not prune these as they will be doing the work during re-veg period once I've harvested canopy buds and switch back to 18/6 lighting. Tropicanna Glookies: In picture 8, you'll see that this plant has not released any at the trunk leaves. These plants will have 4-6 smaller bud sights at the canopy level left during re-veg to assist in recovery. Once new shoots and leaves develop, those bud sites will be cropped and removed to bring the plant canopy back to being even height around the whole plant. Set-up the Fertilizer regiment tonight, I've been running this technique for 3 runs now, and it allows me to push 1500ppm without fail. ---- Day 9 ----- Over the length of feeding during vegetative stage, it was always 12-15L every 2 days fertilizer/water feeding schedule. Today is the first time since that repetitive water intake that it does not need watering 2 days after last feeding. This signals to me the plant has switched stages internally from fan leaf and stem production into the beginning of bloom stage where it shifts the nodes stems cells to produce bud structure. This is about 5-6 days earlier than my last 2 grows done this way. Either 1 - These plants are fast at this transition stage, or 2 - Bud Ignitor really works.. I mean, it's pretty crazy expensive but if this is how well it works, i'm a user for life. I'll continue to watch the soil, I doubt feeding will happen today. I might add in 250ml to each plant straight water 1 hour before end of light cycle to carry them over until next morning for full feeding if they are looking like they'll be dry during the middle of the night. I'll update with pics about 7 or 8 hours into light cycle.. 3rd check on ladies and they are ready for fertilizing. 15L @ 1470ppm 6.4ph Updated with pics. Check out that node spacing. Loving these plants. ----- Day 10 ----- Most of the Wedding cake has hit 7-8 inches of stretch, and the Tropicanna Glookies has hit 4-6 Inches of stretch. I expect another 2-4 inches for both over the next 3-5 days before stretch completes fully. Day 9's remark about stretch ending was incorrect, I had checked the plants before "waking up" and once lights had been on for 3 hours they were dry to the bone, ready for their usual round of fertilizing. Still more room for growth in both the tent and the ladies genetics. Nitrogen is fairly restricted at the moment. the 4-7-8 (other than calimagic 1-0-0) is the only nitrogen source currently at 0.33ml/L. No yellowing persists on leaves currently. Will watch closely over the day and tomorrow morning and adjust the KoolBloom liquid lower to accompany more FloraNova Bloom if nitrogen is starting to become deficient (0.5 to 0.75 ml/L would be used for FloraNova Bloom to catch the nitrogen back up without inducing major stretch) 3 of 4 plants (all except front right) have under canopy leaves. Back right has long stem, so will be pruning that back to the first node before stretch occurred. For the front right plant, I will most likely leave 3-5 smaller bud sites at the edge of the tent (and probably 1 for all others as well) to make sure re-veg occurs appropriately. Will be pruning day around day 17-21 depending on feel. Photos has 5 or 6 new ones from this morning at lights on. Will add more before lights off. (Added 2 quick photos at end of light cycle Day 10) ----- DAY 11 ----- Fertilized @1520ppm 6.4ph 14~L. All plants are top notch. Have some new stretch now in the Tropicanna Glookies with about 25% of the stems increasing up to an additional 1.5 inches. Back left plant (Wedding Cake) had shown the tiniest sign of first stage of cal/mag deficiency. This is actually good news, I was worried about the lack of nitrogen being applied, but there's zero yellowing on any leaves. Increased the Cal/Mag from 25ml to 30ml to hopefully prevent deficiency symptoms showing by morning of next feeding. All other nutrients applied at same level. Hence the feeding topping above 1500ppm which I rarely do. I aim for 1450~ before ph adjustment. New pics added. More at end of light cycle. Mid day check on plants. Added 1 new photo to show under canopy fan leaf. Nutrient levels look perfect. Took a fan leaf from what I was seeing as magnesium deficiency in the new leaf canopy area of Wedding Cake back left plant, and it is less noticeable under normal light and not HID. It's lighter than the mature fan leaf shown in new pic due to age. No pic of this as deficiency isn't pronounced enough yet, and due to fertilizing this morning, probably won't re-manifest all grow (hopefully). ----- Day 12 ----- Things are going great. Wedding cake highest stem is now 10 inches from original start, perfect growth with about 4~ days left of stretch max. Tropicanna highest stem is up 7.5 inches from original start. These plants are amazing. The tropicanna is starting to spread its stems wider and higher then originally intended, i'll let these go and only remove the weakest lowest ones. Pruning in 4-9 days is going to be a meticulous pain in the ass. Expecting at least 4 hours of work. Going to go from under the canopy and remove fan leaves from bottom up and any weak stems not bud worthy. No nutrient issues. ----- Day 13 ----- Perfect day. Ladies loving everything. I'm loving the ladies! No nute burn, deficiency or other issues. Plants were dry and ready by first 30min of lights on. Fed 1470ppm 13L 6.4ph Main front left Wedding Cake stem I use to measure stretch has no growth over last 24hrs. Others on same plant have, very curious as it's the highest stem (Although 5-10 others in the back of the plant are same size). If stretch finishes at 10~ inches i'll be a happy camper. Pruning is going to be a daunting task... probably 6 to 8 hours. Many breaks during it for sure. 25 sq feet of 6 to 10 inches of fan leaf removing, with over 100 stems in the ScrOG easily. Will be leaving every canopy top fan leaf that doesn't completely shade out a potential big bud stem. Prob 40% covering will remain on top canopy, with no fan leaves below that. All sugar leaves will be left alone. I'll be concentrating on removing potential mold spots and shade production only and not complete fan leaf defoliation which I did not really feel was good for my last round and hurt the yield. Once pruning occurs, dehumidifier will be brought in to drop down to 40% for first 2 weeks then down to 35% to finish off the plants. Due to plant not being able to transpire as much water out of the root zone due to loss of fan leaves, I drop the humidity immediately after pruning to assist in the process (probably just a placebo, no science backing this hypothesis yet) Next feeding will be first day of Week 3. No more bud Ignitor, welcome back B-52. ----- Day 14 ----- All's good. Plants are doing great. Lazy day of watching them finish transition. Feeding tomorrow. Stretch hasn't increased on stem I use to measure, others have caught up. Perfect grow so far. Update with new pics. Stem tops of Wedding Cake tripling their pistil counts. Good times ahead!

Really curious how the wedding cake turns out. Just put some beans in the cup yesterday, heard great things about their wedding cake and since I could not get Jungle Boys ANYWHERE, I decided too try Canuks. Looks great btw

@TopShelfTrees, One things for sure, they are friggin JAM packed with bud. Massive weight for even the tiniest nug. The tropicanna I could squish to near nothing and it'd pop back out to normal. Wedding cake is like trying to press in a brick. Going to be monster yields. Canuk seeds generally LOVE cal/mag btw. I notice Cal/mag issues on Canuk genes more than any other bean companies ive tried so don't skip out on the cal/mag.

Well, I felt like I should give this a proper ending. I used Canvas Labs to get a Health Canada level screening of all parameters available (was like $700 bucks) and it came back showing lead and mercury. I freaked the hell out, contacted them, and they ran samples to an even higher level lab, it was quite an intense experience. I had massive, massive anxiety... am i smoking lead and mercury tainted pot? How did it get into my grow? So BAM I chuck all my ferts and re-buy a newer better brand So BAM I chuck the felt vivosun 7 gallon pots. (Why? Cause who's frigging kidding here, do you trust anything made in a manufacturing plant made in China, sold to a supplier, slapped with a label from some rich dude who pays for it and calls it vivosun on amazon's platform where they routinely send crap so bad it breaks upon use or doesn't work at all so they delete the product and you can't get your money back cause its just gone from product detail info for returns. (That was my colloidal silver, the previous example was a box fan)) So BAM i kill my 4 darling 5 foot tall, 6inch diameter trunk 11 month old plants. And of COURSE Canvas labs comes back saying there was a lab error, there was no lead and mercury. So that was a nightmare, and I killed the above plants. This whole scenario sent me back massively financially and while waiting for my upgraded production medical license also, has caused a lot of time between my last postings of grows. Shiiiiiit that was long. Posted for anyone who was curious, I use this as a diary mainly as well for long term retrieval of issues how I fixed them and results etc etc. for any necessary future need. I was originally hesitant about posting why I killed them so blamed it on hydro. I asked a lawyer friend If it's safe to talk about it happening, they said yea, so that's why I'm mentioning it now. I would have kept these ladies alive for multiple flowering rounds. Ramble over
