I'll start adding nutrient (Plagron Power Roots and Vita Race) and LST this week. Not really happy with the height after three weeks. Everything else is fine.
Started adding the nutrients. Wanted to add Biobizz, but my growshop just offered Plagron. The difference was visible the next day. The leafs had grown rapidly. Considering the height, they didn't grow that much. Only one of the Blackberries is now at 17 cm, whereas the other is stagnating at 12 cm. Any advice on the height issue? Or is it just normal?
Since adding nutrients, the growth has been really fast. Only the second Auto Blackberry Kush didn't improve in height. And I don't know the reason. Because she grew under same circumstances.
As the first pestils showed up, I switched the LED light to flowering stage. I'm not sure if this was the right time. Autoflowering plants are supposed to switch automatically to the flowering stage after 3-4 weeks and my guess was, that the pestils are a sign for that. The plants got really thirsty. As I wasn't home all the time, I installed an automatic watering system. Wasn't enough to keep the soil wet. But better than nothing. And I noticed, that I used the Plagron Vita Race completly wrong. You are supposed to spray it on the leaves. Still improving every day. 😅
I'll add better pics later this week.
Started too late with the LST. Could just do it with the side branches. The Blackberries were too big already last week. Well, next time.
One Blackberry is 60 cm tall, the other is 45 cm. The Orange Bud is not even close to that. She is about 30 cm and really bushy with big leaves. I lollypopped about 4 leaves, because she was not getting enough light. Compared to the Blachberries, she looks like she two weeks younger. Hopefully, she catches up a bit.
Had some problems with brown spots on the leaves. Guess it was the Vita Race spray. So I stopped using it. No new brown spots since then.
Humidity is between 42-50%
Over the Easter-weekend I wasn't at home to monitor the progress.
When I came back, the Orange Bud was drooping a lot and got yellow leaves -> Nitrogen deficiency. Gave it some Alga Bloom and got rid of the yellow leaves. Today, she looks much better. The harvest will still be poor.
Still don't know what was wrong with the Orange Bud. But the Blackberry Kush looks great.
I'll be away for quite some time. Hope the automatic watering will be enough.
Left them for four days alone without anybody watering them. The temperature rose to a worrying degree because of the outside temperature: 29 - 30° C. Could have improved the fan performance to have greater air exchange.
Still they improved and got fatter. Even the Orange Bud looks way better. I have the feeling that she needs at least another week.
The pestils of the Blackberry Kush are to a high degree already orange.
The smell got intense. Last week I added nutrients. From now on just pure water.
I was really thankful for the positive and helpful comments. I guess, I still made mistakes (for example starting the LST way to late or overwatering in the beginning). I hope for a better yield next time.
Don't know what I did wrong with this one. Yield was rally small. The quality was awesome. So sticky and smelly. In the new diary, I'm using different soil. And there is already a huge difference in height and leaves.
Hey Jon!
Thanks for the motivation. Indeed, i got scared last week because the Blackberry Kush plants were drooping. My first guess was that I overwatered them. After some research, my second guess was that the distance to the lamp was to high and therefore the stem was too weak. So I did both: I stopped watering them for a while and reduced the distance to the lamp. And here we are back on track again. The Orange Bud plant did totally fine.
Cheers mate!
@Amikaro, if they havent grown a lot in height and everything else is good that probably means theyre laying down roots afaik so everything's gucci
good to see you made adjustments; biggest key to indoor growing is being mindful of all the details =)
height is almost positively fine, it's actually quite well. you have vigor and apparently your soil is well oxygenated from your air-pots
indica pheno, and remember that most coir/hydro grows you see are going to get explosive vegetative vigor and are slated to veg for fewer weeks over it
You look good to go, first grow wise! It gets scary sometimes, let us know if you have any questions! If I can't answer them, someone better suited may be able.
Dutch Passion is a breeder I've wanted to grow for a while already. Exciting! Liked and followed =)
