Just sayingl, those one are not gifted seeds. I bought them with my hard earned money. If I had been gifted them it still wouldn't change my review the slightest but that wasn't even the case. With that out the way...
Who am I to judge the Amnesia Haze by RQS? It's a bomb for me! Even under my black-thumb she managed to pull out some good quantity and very acceptable quality, unluckly for me, I had plenty of problems with mold and pest and whatever could happend to a flowering Amnesia in mid Octuber my. Can't say much more on the smoking cause I'm just into the 2nd week of curing in mason jar so the real terpene profile, has still to come out, I HOPE 😅
I can say though, that it has a really sweet smell, no too strong but its there. While cleaning the last I pulled a nice 0.6 of finger hash out of her which has been a great company while trimming.
I won't complain at all about this run with them, probably will grow them again, but not in the balcony, neighbours complain!!!! 😂
I have always been using Bio-Bizz products, Soil and Ferts and I personally find them good product, just make sure to ALWAYS misure your water parameters, specially if you are new to growing and can not "read" your plants, LIKE ME!
I love it. It works perfectly and it actually saved my two amnesia from a very clear death! Just a bit expensive but, trust me, it does his work greatly!
Hi everyone,
At the end of it, I am happy with the whole cycle and the outcome. Could have been more, for sure, but could have been less as well.
Most of the info are in the diary, there are really a lot of photos that speaks for themselfs.
What I would point out, I wokred with 2 different pheno. One pheno was more developed in width and clearly had an higher yield.
Even though the Amnesia is a great sativa strain, I managed to convert it in a more Indica dominant strain 😂 as I had to keep the plant way longer its maturation point, and I believe this affected the THC level and as well the terpene profile!
I had to break down the buds from the AMN#2 because of mold problems I had ,but still managed to slow drying for ten days before jarring her.
While the AMN#1 which is still drying, since I cut her off on the 20/11, will probably stay in the drying room for a couple of days more. I will update with the dry weight of this plant.
4/12 AMN#2 is been trimmed of and is still, I know is a long time but I have crazy humidity now and I dont want to take any risk, buds feels soft and slighlty wet, so couple of more days!
8/12 begging of the curing stage for this plant as well, much smaller buds and very leafy, not sure what to do with her, I might chuck it in the freezer for some bubbles!
I would like to thank Grow Diaries for this amazingly-organized community they have created, where we all can learn a lot, and share something we really love.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and looked at the diary, squeezed the like button or commend the diary.
13/12 I'VE MADE MY FIRST RUN OF BUBBLE HASH!
Very very happy with the end result, did not weight anything yet because is still wet big time, I lightly squeezed it a bit, before let it drying on parchment on a cardboard. The smell it's just absolutely crazy. Not smelly as the BubbleHash from the Indoor run. I can smell strong citruss notes in the 120µm but the 90µm and 73µm explodes with crazy-sweet note. While the 25µm (did not use the 43µm) where I did collect most of the hash, it came out quite green and relly gummy-like consistency. Smell like good hash, nothing crazy like the previous ones but not bad thinking from what it came from. The plants did not mature properly so this was the best option.
I did not use the working bag this time and probably used WAY too much and too big chucks of ice, the water came out greeny straight away after a few minutes of wash
Anyway, the paper sheet says it all about timing, washes and µm used for the extractions, but just in case I'll explain it down here.
I have done 3 wash with different timing.
1º wash: 5 min only to get the most brittle trichome heads
2º wash: 10 min stardard
3º wash: 25 min to stock up a bit 😅
I could have done an extra wash for sure and get more out, but I was running out of time so...I will update with the dry weight, it was not the only wash I've done, that were just too many grades to weight up..so I chose to do it once all dry!
See you really soon with a new journey together!
Pennellothre
Hi guys ,can I extract with alchool,from buds that were affected by Botrytis?
I read couple of thing around and in here, but did not really get it.
Can I? What would be, healthy-wise talking, the bad effects on us?
Would a alchool extraction be the best solution?
Cheers
The alcohol will still remove the mold into your oil. Mold spores are very small and very bad for you if smoked. There is 1 way, but it’s a pain in the rear...lol you make you iso oil normal, but at the end you have to run the alcohol with oil in it through a 0.2 micron filter of some sort. Must be at least0.2 micron or smaller. It works but it’s a pain. 0.2 micro screen is almost solid...lol
Method: Fresh Harvested Weed / 97ºalchool in freezer, weed in Jar, 30 sec and 2 min wash, strainer, coffee filter, let evaporate room temp. Purged x2 in vac. machine.
May, the fact that the plant was not flushed yet, affect the end product? Not the first time my QWET is bitter.
Hi mate I can see the difference between the 2 girls.
Red stems could be cold night temps? How are your night temps?
Spots on the leaves look like a pest symptom have you checked pests like Thrips?
@PharmaZ,
yes it was, both AMNESIA got flushed because of the Overfert, difference is the reaction they had.
Today watching the sick one, I could see ( hopefully not imagination) some more shine in those buds forming up, maybe the roots are finally cleaning and start to work again! Tomorrow first thing I'll go buy that product we talked about and give'em a nice wash, and then just start feeding them again. She look's definetly hungry, most of her leaves are yellowing, screaming for food?
Cheers mate, take care!
@Pennello, a few questions to ask, was that plant in question flushed? This Could make the root zone colder, along with being closer to the balcony than the other plant...
if you could think of anything else.
I’ve seen red stems due to nutrient deficiency. But it’s mainly cold.
The stems on my plants in the 1 tent are all Purple due to cold as I left the lights off for longer periods then 2 days right at the end. It’s usually close to finish.
@PharmaZ,
Hi Pharmaz, I thougth about night temps, in the past few days did drop a bit, but the other Amnesia does not have a spot in the entire stem, just a leaftip turned purple. Night temps are between 12/15 Celsius..
Now that you say that first time today I've seen 1 or 2 while I was watering them inside the house, but still, shouldnt be them both affected?
Or maybe its because the sick one, needs longer to dry up than the other one? And this would create a good habitat pests... I was pretty sure that such a windy balcony would have kept pests away...
Hopefully Cannazym will give me an hand!
Cheers!!
@Shooey,
that's very true my friend, I'm about to start trimming down the 2nd Amnesia, lets see after 15days of slowdrying what's on the scale!
Cheers for coming by @Shooey!
