Royal Gorilla - Royal Queen Seeds

Hello and welcome to my diary of "Royal Gorilla" from Royal Queen Seeds.. Hope you are well and thanks for viewing.. 😁👍 This strain was hidden at bk of seed box for a few months in fridge.. I decided to start her as this months mother plant.. I kept to my usual mix of biobizz allmix soil, pebbles and perlite(2.5 -1- 0.5).. Will grow her out for few wks until she's developed enough to clone from, keeping her short and allowing lower growth to push out more.. Always leaving a growth site on branch wen takin cutting so she can continue to grow.. Will b giving her room temp plain ph'd water @6.2 until 3rd wk or signs of hungry plant(yellowing/dulling fan leaves,slow new growth).. Will make the usual 2 best choice clones from her and transfer them into a 40ltr NFT active hydroponics system.. 🦍😍 Huge thanks to everyone who views, likes, comments or follows any of my diaries.. Just giving her plain ph'd water @6.2 and 1 drop per litre of ecothrive neutralise.. Will continue to watch her grow until its time to take cuttings from her and make sum clones for the hydro tents.. Shes doubled in size and is starting to fill out beautifully and produce her fan set 9's already.. Just been giving her a water every day with plain tap water with 1 drop per litre of ecothrive neutralise and adjusted her ph to 6.2.. Only given her plain ph'd [email protected] and roughly half a litre each day she's drinking now.. 28 days since germ and she's only lived off 4 litres of soil!, will start to feed her soon(this wk most likely), but only feed her once every few days after a couple of days water.. Beautiful fat fan leaves on her.. Loads of branches trying to push out.. Will top her nxt wk and allow her to breathe a bit easier so i can av more choices from taking cuttings and getting 2 great clones from her to bloom out in my NFT system.. She is growing very stong and has still not received any food yet.. Will give her a feed in few days after she recovered from topping.. Cant wait to see how she'll fill out the tent wen she gets cloned and put into NFT.. no problems with her at all so far.. She seems a very strong plant.. Fan leaves are very thick and wide.. Will b taking another 2 cuttings from her top branches tomo for back ups and im givin my pal 2 as they've had problems and want to try sumthin new.. I love the foliage on this strain, very thick n bushy with thick stems.. i left lots of sites for fresh growth as im passing her on at end of wk.. She's in his good hands now and will b placed into coco in his setup..👍😎.. I recently got email that I have been picked for the Autumn RQS contest so depending on what strain i receive these girls might end up as back ups(if i get photoperiods-if i get CBD or Auto then Royal Gorilla will go in Nft in 4-5wks..😁👍 Great big thanks to u all for your support, comments, follows and likes.. Roots showing out thru 4inch rockwoll cubes n also my 2 backups av rooted and I'll transfer them into 4"cubes tomo.. Will grow these babies out in their cubes for another 3-4wks then place into Nft trays wen free.. 😁👍 Soaked cubes in premade solution.. Will only give 1 feed a wk at this strength evert Saturday and just give her plain ph'd water @5.7 if she needs anything mid wk.. Finally getting space in the hydro tent for them Saturday.. Looking forward to seeing how these girls cope in nft as i passed on the mom to 1 pal who put her into a 30ltr coco and said she's gone crazy and my other pal had the 2 mini clones and put them in autopots n he saying he's had an explosive root growth.. Neither of them have flipped yet tho so we all very interested in this award winning strain atm.. Gave her a bit of a defol n took away lower foliage to encourage bushing.. Fed her again today n she's been on plain ph'd water @5.6 all week.. Wen cube is light I'll just dip into solution for a few seconds n drain of excess.. 😁👍 Great big thanks to u all for your support, comments, follows and likes.. Cleaned out tank and equipment with bleach to kill all bacteria, vacuumed all dust and dead leaf from last run out of tent and set up tank again with fresh water..put 40litres of water in res then added nutes and additives

Had a few ph raising issues first few days but she's balanced out now and her roots have finally started to grow thru the matting on top tray.. Put them onto true 12/12 yesterday after first 2wks on grow feeds.. The res was emptied and i left roughly 10litre of veg feed in.. I topped res up another 30litre with 2.8ml per litre of bloom based feeds and same amount of all other additives as last wk.. Expect to see her stretch this wk hopefully and start sum pre-flower lst with ties and yo-yo's towards the end of wk and maybe sum snipping off any lower sites that will b small.. Started giving them flowering boosters today as first sight of pistils showing n shes just starting her bloom phase.. She's looking great and im not having any problems with her thankfully.. Looks like im getting a purple pheno from early flower formation.. Resin glands forming all over her n the smell is really starting to get strong wen u open the tent.. Surprised how much she's stretched this wk n will most likely see a slow down on this by nxt wk.. Tiny bit of height gained again this wk butnothin to worry about as i can raise the lamps a few inch still.. Raised them by about 5-7cm this wk just to b safe.. Only 21days left on them till 9wks in flowering so excited to see how much they fill out.. Shud of took alot more from lower branches to fatten up her tops but im still confident she's guna get chunky.. Ive tried to take as many shots as possible so u can see how great this plant looks.. The smell is intense and she's just a pleasure to grow tbh.. Funny how things turn out..a purple pheno of this strain is apparently not to common.. Feeling blessed by the RQS team to grow such a lovely looking and potentially super strong strain.. Officially only 2wks left on her but she's showing minimal browns pistils and most trichs are clear still.. Will b watching her closely over next few days as i slowly start to reduce food levels and get her on plain ph'd water by nxt Saturday if all grows well.. She has swollen glands all over but she still has plenty of ripening left by looking at her.. 😁👍 Huge thanks to u all for your constant support, comments, follows and likes.. Been chatting to a pal on here named @Caaos and we been talking about both our Gorilla girls which av been runnin roughly same times.. I saw he placed an apple around his fruits n it made sense and after we chatted a bit i decided I'd give it a try,please check out his grows!..emptied res today and filled with 1/4 strength ripen and will start the main flush on her mid wk.. took a few upper leaves off around main colas to help her breath abit easier and she's swelling up her glands nicely.. 😁👍 Huge thanks to u all for your continuous support, comments, follows and likes.. Both are still pushing out lots of new white pistils but glands are swollen all over the place and she's completely covered in cloudy trichs with few ambers 3-5%..will b harvesting her mid to late wk and will write final harvest report when she's ready to cure.. My carbon filter is struggling to completely take away all the smell and you get a faint odour when i enter room were the tent is..
