Plenty of growth this week, the scrog has really filled out. I didn't quite manage to break the apical dominance of the main cola as you can see in the pictures, but FIMing definitely helped boost the other colas. I'm hoping such a long vegetative state means this one will go big. The fruit flies seem to have gone away, so all good on that front. Happy to see pistils appearing!

A few leaves have started showing purple spots, some with pale green/whitish bits as well. Picture above. Any help would be great. I’ve been feeding on the BioBizz schedule every second watering, usually every other/every third day.

Hey there GentleWilliam , i have to disagree with MrWeeds here, this looks more like a pH related issue. The symptoms you're seeing like the rust colored speckles and the burnt edges of the leafs as well as the yellowing in general might be caused by a pH that's too high or a pH fluctuation meaning those nutrients would be less well absorbed . My guess is that and a nutrient lock out because you're feeding a lot of nutrients and over time it locked out the plant. Try flushing once by watering until runoff then measuring 20% more water and rinsing the soil well. then start feeding again at the same level but without the fish mix, which raises your pH quite a lot. Hope this helps ! πŸš€

The rust spots on the leaves are getting worse. I flushed twice and fed with a bit of extra runoff, but a day later and the curling burnt ends look like nute burn. Any thoughts would be great!

if you flushed and it got worse it means it is not a nue burn. it looks to me like a big nute def. the fisrt 2 pics looks like a heavy potassium deficiency, the third a lack of phosphorus and in all of them i see nitrogen def. in my experience under qbs, like yours mars ts, plants need more k than under hps or cobs. to solve this i would feed her with some bloom fert (like n.p.k. 2.2.4) and a strong pk (like 13/14). but go easy with them the first time and rise a bit every time.

Week 9: I've tried flushing to see if that helps with the purple leaf spots, and well try to adjust the nutes from there. We'll see! Thanks for the folks who chipped in with suggestions.

Hi Friend, Obviously I don't know your setup, but when I'm carrying multiple generations in the same tent, I keep a couple of small LED lights I can use to "fill in" when necessary. That's about the only way you can keep your youngsters from getting too leggy during their juvenile stage. I use Bloom Plus BP1000 for this.

@AuldKelt, Thanks, that's a great idea. I used your comment as an excuse to order another main light, so I think I can work it out that way. Appreciate the suggestion though. πŸ‘

@Growpotkin, Since you're new to the process a viable alternative for you as a temporary fix to your lighting needs is for you to simply buy a single LED bulb. Miracle makes several nice examples that are sold in Amazon for about $15. A single full spectrum led will produce 100w but only use 9w of energy. You can get it overnight if you're a Prime member. Single led grow bulbs are also sold at ND and Lowes, but I haven't used theirs so can't recommend. Take Care.

@AuldKelt, thanks for the recommendation! I've been thinking about exactly this, but I haven't wanted to commit since it's only my second grow. But I think I'll need to go for something. Appreciate it!

@MrJones, thanks--that tempts me to go for it soon. I tend to find some sativas make me paranoid and anxious, so I was trying to see if leaving it a bit longer might help, but I'm also really impatient! πŸ˜…

Overload of magnesium can Lock out calcium , am abundance of magnesium will cause unatural purple discoloration not associated with cold temperature or genetics this purple is indicative of a magnesium abundance with calcium lock out , genetics of many strains have purple leaves , buds , stems or even slightly orange to redish but they all occur specifically from one or anotge3r factor that influences this color to show and thise same strains can have no purple so if your strain isnt known for its purple , if your strain is not known to show purple under healthy conditions you can assume that since your gettinh rust spots and that purple it seems to be unatural and non genectic color changing so decrease your magnesium and see what happens do not feed at all with any nutrient that contains magnesium, if you eleminate magnesium and you see any improvement on your new growth , then the conclusion would be magnesium abundance causing calcium lockout
