I want to welcome you all back to another update on our Peyote Wifi from Seedsman Seeds! If you're just joining us, we have had this mostly Indica photo-dependant cultivar vegging SOG style in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent with 20 other plants for several weeks now.
She has been one of the faster growing cultivars in the tent despite a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past few weeks. I have created a nice foundation to send into flower and got the bloom tent ready with a few upgrades. So, I moved her and a few of her other tent-mates into the 8'x4' bloom tent running on a 12/12 lighting schedule.
Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM.
Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.
Now, for the weekly break down!

๐ฑ TRASPLANT DAY
- I transplanted this cultivar into a 3.4 gallon black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pot and inserted a 3' fiberglass garden stake into the center of the rootball near the main stem of the plant. The stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. She has a nice solid root ball due to being slightly rootbound. Following transplant, i lightly watered with filtered tap water with pH adjusted to 6.4.
๐ผ START OF 12/12 CYCLE ๐ผ
- I moved her into the 96" x 48" bloom tent under 12/12 lighting schedule.

๐ฉโ๐ป UPGRADE! ๐ฉโ๐ป
- In the 96" x 48" bloom tent, I added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray.
๐ฟFEED DAY!๐ฟ
She received approximately 1 gallon of nutrient solution. I mixed 12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have running in this SOG.1 gallon of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar.
๐ฉโ๐ฌNUTRIENT SOLUTION๐ฉโ๐ฌ
โฌ๏ธMixing Rundownโฌ๏ธ
The solution starts with 12 gallon tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

All components were mixed into a 50 gallon tote that is kept in a warm environment to help innocculate to promote a vast and diverse microbial life in the rhizosphere. Once mixed, add 32-64oz water once every 7-14 days as needed. The goal is to keep the soil moisten without oversaturating.

@Treighfunky, I had planned on only allowing 4 main shoots to grow and fill a 12" x 12" space, but the other 2 looked strong and I think 6 shoots may still allow for enough light penetration and air flow. We will see, but I can always do some additional pruning later if needed.
Switch to regular seeds? Youโre talented enough to run a pheno selection and once you find a good mom to clone off you wonโt have to worry about any headaches from fem seeds.
Reg seeds = more stable genetics
Fem seeds = maybe a success, maybe a shitshow
Good luck
@FoTwenny, no, and thatโs not really what I was getting at. Itโs perfectly fine to clone a stable cultivar from fem seeds...if itโs stable. Personally it takes a few years and runs for me to lay that distinction on anything Iโve cloned from fem seeds.
With reg seeds, on the other hand, yes one may spend more time upfront popping 20-40 seeds, vegging, sexing, pulling males, then flowering out the females. But rest assured that once youโve selected a pheno that fits your needs, from reg seeds, you can clone the fuck out of it for years (cycling moms appropriately), and that one day it wonโt suddenly show a herm tendency because of the bastardized process of creating fem seeds in the first place. Plus, save a few hundred $$ easily not continually purchasing seeds every cycle.
Just my 2cents, to each their own. Cheers and enjoy da ๐ฆ
I just had the same with my Somango.. The lady was not the lady i thought! Reminded me of a bad episode when we went on holiday to thailand and my bestmate thought he had a hot date....anyway..๐
2 of my royal haze were pollinated and al in all it was a very annoying experience. I feel your pain.
Aaaaah damn. Sorry about that. Well you gave that dude the best life he could have had, looked amazing till he blew his cover ๐. Good on you for finishing the diary regardless!
It's a sad and disappointing day indeed. If it's any consolation, every one of those gif's had me dying ๐
Even with the bad news you still deliver it with a sense of humor. On to the next one ๐
