Day -1: I put the seed directly to the soil after it sunk to the bottom of the water in the cup
Day 0: Seed has broken soil a bit too early and almost dried up in windowsill sunlight, I covered her with soil and sprayed to moisten it back up
Day 1: It's alive and well and growing rapidly today, my plan is to put her in the tent for around 2 weeks, and after that try to put her on a sunlit balcony w/e sun is shining.
Day 2: Put her in the tent under LED lights 250 W at low wattage and 80 cm distance ( a bit too low like 20 W, should have gone with much lower distance to canopy I think )
Day 3: Photo session, misting when needed.
Day 4: Misting two times a day
Day 5: Increased Wattage to around 70 Watts and lowered the lights to 65 cm, was a bit cautious, she looks a bit stretched. Will adjust daily in the next few days.
Day 6: Increased Wattage to 80 Watts and misted a few times a day
Day 7: Increased Wattage to 90 Watts and light watering, also put her in full sunlight outdoors in the evening for the first time.
For this grow plan is to maximize sunlight exposure but to put her inside w/e there are harsh conditions or cloudy days. Also, I had spider mites in the last one so I expect them to appear here and I am ready to battle them this time.
As you can see from photos I improved exhaust by removing unnecessary 90° bends, like one grower suggested ventilation is put above the tent and carbon filter at the top without bends. There is only one U shaped bend towards the window.
Also added a small intake fan. I don't know if it is needed but will be leaving it for now.
Days 8-14
- Giving more light every day ( around 10 W per day) at the end of the week at 160W
-Misting or watering 1-2 times a day, she is starting to spend the almost whole day on the sunlight outdoor balcony so she needs refreshment.
-Also sprayed with a light dosage of Epsom salts this week
- Starting on nutrients and with LST next week, still thinking about topping for this run as it is autoflower.
Started feeding and LST this week. Plant currently looks ugly but she will look glorious at the end of next week I am sure of it. Also lights in tent are at maximum 250 Watts from end of this week.
Starting flowering at the end of the week.
She seems a little bit slow but is very healthy.
Maybe I should have started feeding her week earlier, increasing dosages every feeding so we will see how she turns out.
She is mostly outdoors when it is sunny during the daylight shift is under indoor lights
Buds grew a lot during this week. She liked the heavier feeding.
PH of the nutrient solution was 4.5 and I didn't use Ph up this time cause I heard that for soil PH will buffer to the correct Ph by itself.
I read runoff PH 5.9 and PPM which was very high at 1900. When it gets dry I will water with water and measure again to see if if PPM dropped and to check PH.
Have issues with the of BioBizz Grow dropping PH of my solution to 4-5 from the starting point of about 7.
I was increasing PH with soda bicarbonate cause I only have pH down right now, but for the last 2 weeks, I didn't correct pH. Does anyone have the same experience?
Also not correcting PH from 4.5 and 5 didn't hurt the plant and the growth of buds was good. runoff ph was around 5.9-6.0. I am confused cause there is a lot of info on the internet
that pH-ing in soil is not needed and also that ph-ing biobizz nutrient range is not needed. By everything that I learned in the last year doing this hobby, I should try to still ph to 6.5.
I am also thinking that maybe my batch of BioGrow is somehow different or faulty cause its weird to me that dropping 6 mL of Biogrow in 3L 7-7.5 water drops it to around 4.5-5 PH.
Trichs are around 80% cloudy. I think she is getting chopped in a week. Planning to give only water for future waterings and 72 days of darkness before chop starting in few days.
On day 61 trichs are almost 100% cloudy so I decided to cut it down. I could go a week more for a bit of amber.
Also after cutting down bud washed with 3 buckets ( first bucket with lemon juice and soda bicarbonate)
The first day of drying was around 50% RH with fans on, first few hours directly on buds)
For the second day killed the fans besides the Carbon filter fan that is on low RPM. A dehumidifier is keeping Humidity around 60%
On the third day, I trimmed the buds and weight dropped to 80g and 73g after trimming.
Planning to dry for a few more days around 20 C and 60% Rh, hoping for slow dry so around 7.
On the 4th day of drying weight dropped to 45 g which is around a 75% drop from the wet weight so I put buds in a jar for a few hours to check humidity.
It was showing 75 % and rising so I think 1 more day of drying and they will be ready for curing.
On the 5th day of drying weight dropped to 41 g and I think they are almost ready for jars.
After a couple of hours in the jar, Humidity is around 70%, I started using a tent today for a new seedling
so thinking about a brown paper bag for finishing up the drying process.
There were few more days of drying in a paper bag and switching from jars to drying cause humidity is hovering around 70%
Dry weight 10 Days after harvest is 36 gram + bit of trim. I am kinda disappointed, was expecting a bit more from 200g wet. Also, she is very leafy same as the first
Dinamed CBD I had. Also lost smell during drying like the last one. In my opinion, this one had the best drying conditions of all my plants ever.
I will update in a few weeks with the smoke and vaporization report, maybe will try some variations of teas with the trim.
I have one more seed and will try that sometime in the future with 3 other autoflowers in the tent so it's full and will try as
many different drying techniques with that grow cause I am desperate to get better flavor of this strain. Both times smelled great but after harvest lost it's flavor.
