Planted Germinated seed 8/15, first sprouted 8/17. Second attempt (more like 10th if you include all the failed germination) So far every Expert seed germinated in 2 days, Also growing a second Lemon Haze and a Northern Lights photo-period plant. May or may not journal those. First grow had issues with germination and the one that germinated was bad from the start took over a week to get where my newest try has gotten in a day. Soil: Roots Organics ROGL When transferring to 3 gal final pots adding .6 lbs of Super Soil concentrate mixed into bottom 1/3 of soil. Should be able to get through the grow with no additional nutrients just water.

Furthest I've gotten with a grow so far, everything's looking healthy. 8/26 Already has a light aroma filling the room which I didn't expect to happen so quickly. Still growing strong 8/28 Transplanted to 3gal fabric pots. Best way I found was to cut off the very bottom of the solo cup, place in the new pot where you want it to be then cut down both sides of the cup while it's in the new pot, then pull up the 2 halves, no handling of the roots

Is the yellow stripe in my 8/26 picture anything I should be concerned about? Don't want to botch my first real grow

It's probably just genetics, but keep an eye on it. Probably time to transplant unless you plan on finishing in the solo cup.

Week 3 has seen some tremendous growth, looking healthy by all accounts. debating on 12/12 lighting to start my one photo's flowering so I don't overcrowd my tent if it were to veg for too long. In hindsight I'm glad I did 3 plants just to see the difference in how fast one can grow even within the same strain and seed batch. My other lemon haze auto and northern lights photo are growing at about the same speed which is a few days behind the star of this show, Even though the other lemon was planted at the same time and the northern lights just a few days later.

Decided to switch to 12/12 to start my Northern Lights photo flowering, not worried about slight yield loss, more about getting the experience of my first grow. 9/9- White pistils started emerging on all 3 plants looks like photo switch was at a good time. 9/10 bought a dehumidifier as the plants are getting bigger humidity became harder to control even with ac in the room. I was getting 70% rh recently at night and 59-65% daytime (meaning in plant time since I'm running lights at night that's their daytime). going to try and maintain 40%-50% throughout the rest of the grow.

9/14 Rearranged the plants in the tent, seeing some holes/yellow depressions in leaves couldn't find any aphids or thripes, not sure what it is. Ordered a jewelers loupe as well as spinosad to spray the leaves, hopefully the lack of finding any bugs is a sign that it's relatively recent. 9/18 plucked a few damaged leaves, plants are filling out the tent nicely glad I didn't have a 4th. starting to have a nice aroma when opening the tent No additional nutrients added to any of the plants, so far this journals lemon haze is in a mix of roots organic and supersoil, and my other 2 plants are just roots organic no other nutes added, may start adding additional Phosphorus and Potassium for flowering in those 2

Heya! Looks like it could be thrips. Check the underside of the leaves for little pests, they can be hard to see sometimes. Since you're in flower, we don't want to get the buds wet. If you spot any pests on the leaves treat those area's with neem oil or an oil based soap (1-2 drops) with water in a spray bottle. Good luck!

Time has been flying by, feels like I just germinated them yesterday 9/21 Buds are slowly appearing otherwise not much to report as of yet, just have to keep adjusting the light and fan to make the plants happy, wish I would of gotten an oscillating fan, but for now I figure I get a fair amount of airflow with the exhaust fan and stationary 9/24 Plucked a few wilting leaves, seemed to just be very low leaves that were cramped/blocked. 9/25 Moved the plants after last watering, also flipped the trays on the smaller plants to get them up a little closer to the light. Buds growing in and are more apparent now, seem to be growing well, have yet to see a single bug even with my loupe, still finding spots just don't know why, smell is growing as well, now just peaking into the tent I can smell it on my clothes much later...best cologne

Still growing taller, I've been tucking leaves to make sure bud sites continue to get enough light. It's exciting seeing the changes happening so quickly, and for a first grow I think it's going quite well, may not be perfect, but they're alive and seem happy

Buds are fattening up, trimmed some lower leaves that were dying, my 2nd lemon haze sprouted much taller so I flipped the bottom tray back to normal after it being propped up for a bit, pistils are turning orange, not sure when it'll be ready, but they'll let me know. I think it's going well, not that I have any previous grows to compare to

Harvested my plants on 10/25/20, didn't weigh them wet will weigh the buds after drying for a for at least 5-10 days before jarring for the and update the harvest report Did an initial wet trim of the large and easily accessible leaves, will trim more after about 5 days It's nice looking back to see every step of the way, it went fairly well with a few questionable moments but everything turned out well. In hindsight I would of done all auto or a single photo which would of gotten me higher yields. Trimmed both my Lemon Hazes together which I did test throughout drying so the final yield is lower than actual, also some of the small popcorns I put in the trim pile to be used for concentrates. Total was 46g between the 2 Lemon Hazes and 13g for my Northern Lights.

@MarsHydroLED, Plants are loving it, my ts600 is a little undersized for flowering in my tent but I know it'll still get the job done!

I see you changed the light schedule for the photo plant on there. I'm gonna make a separate tent for my I think, I feel that my auto is gonna be a monster anyway 😁

@cannanub, I thought I planted all auto but I was too baked and didn't read the package right 🤦
cannanub
cannanubcommented4 years ago
@daybreaksky, I honestly didn't expect all 3 to survive after failed germination and my last plant died after 2 weeks looking like this one did on day 2 lol . If I had another light I would do the same or better yet, in hindsight done all photo or auto.

Your babies look amazing bro! How is Lemon Haze, a good one to smoke? I'm thinking to grow one seed
cannanub
cannanubcommented4 years ago
@nafa23, It's not bad it's getting better as it cures flavor and effect, kind of a mellow but energetic feel to it. It wasn't bad to grow maintenance or time wise I'd grow it again 👍

Looks great! Time will fly by before you know it. As I am in my first grow, I'm finding the hardest part is deciding when to harvest!

Looks great! I harvested half of the 2 of my plants, leaving the bottom half to get more light. I had thirps. I used Dr. Bonner's soap, its a hemp soap. It has the mixture to use on the side of the bottle you can get it many places. I was spraying the underside of the leaves and topsoil, seemed to take care of that minor issue. I choose that over neem because my issue wasn't that bad and just made more sense to use a product that was made form hemp. I'll update my page tomorrow so you can check it out! Looks great though!

cannanubcommented4 years ago
@djelektra, That's great! let the drying and curing begin, Were you able to see any of the thrips, I've gone around my plants with a 30x loupe and haven't seen any besides the damaged leaves. I have spinosad which I was going to spray with, essentially a soil bacteria/microbe that kills fruit flies, thrips, leaf miners etc and can be used up to a week before harvesting. Looking forward to the update 💪
