WEEKLY SUMMARY:
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
🙋♀️ Fo' Twenny here! 🙋♀️
Thanks for following along for another update on our 🦍🍪 GORILLA COOKIES cultivar bred by EXPERT SEEDS! This cultivar is really starting to stretch and develop numerous bud sites. She doesn’t really have a very strong odor yet.
Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome.
Now, for my weekly notes!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
👃 AROMA: She smells earthy and herbal with a little gas. She is not very odiferous at this point, but I am hoping her terpene production increases as she nears the finish line.
❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: She is just starting to develop small bud clusters that are covered in resin glands. Her pistils are long and vibrant white.
🎨 COLOR: She is a nice healthy vibrant shade of green. Currently, there are no indications of her developing any exotic coloration.
🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She is stretching quite a bit. 5 inches since last update. Her internodal spacing is on the longer end of the spectrum and her stem is thick and sturdy. She has a moderate tendency to grow side branches.
✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: No changes in my pruning strategy. I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but it is a good rule of thumb that I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding.
❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: She is just getting started, so she is not super frosty, but is developing resin glands on her calyxes and some of the smaller leaves near each top.
🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bi-diurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and try to spot-treat outliers as needed. This run, I have been generally spacing feeds out about 4-6 days when the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight drooping of lower fan leaves).
📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She does not appear to have any signs of deficiency or toxicity. No indications of stress, disease, or pests. She appears to be happy and healthy.

🚿 FEED DAY 🚿
The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 17 gallons of solution for 17 plants. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a large plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4-inch air stones.

• BLOOM LIGHTING: Two custom mounted lighting units: Each mount has one 480w MEANWELL 480H-48B driver and one 240w MEANWELL 240H-48AB powering 6 King-Bright Quantum Boards. Each board contains two hundred fifty-two 3500k lm301h diodes + twelve CREE XP-E2 660nm diodes plus four separately switchable CREE XP-E2 730nm diodes and four LG UV 395nm diodes. Hanging between the two mounts are two additional quantum boards with two hundred fifty two 3000k lm301h diodes + twelve 660nm diodes plus four constant power 730nm IR diodes and four 395nm UV diodes. That's a total of 1680 watts of quantum board power in our 96" x 48" bloom tent.

does it ever stop😆😂 whahaa pretty nice lineup you got over there hey!!!!!!!!
I'll take a seat on the frontrow if you dont mind.........
Happy growings👻
@MrJones,good morning,
I keep my unused seeds in a wooden cigar box with a small dehumidifier packett,
under my workbench in the basement on the concrete floor, keeps them dry and cool.
so far so good.
Later!!
@MrJones, I really don't do anything fancy. I keep them in a cool dry spot. Each pack is packaged separately and I put each order in a plastic ziploc so I can find seeds from each order easily, and each if those bags goes in a gallon freezer ziploc bag. I don't refrigerate or anything at this time. Maybe I will at some point, but I think I am going to keep pheno hunting for a while and use up some beans until I have selected a few winners worth revegging and cloning. I haven't found anything with a real wow factor yet. It's all good stuff, but I am looking for that one that is a unanimous 10 star cultivar.
@FoTwenny, yeah general hydroponics maxigro and maxibloom will make your life a lot easier. It's cheap and it's a complete feed. The grows I'm harvesting now never got any additives or boosters.
@FoTwenny, hey, well if you're looking for a simple feed. @wicked_stix uses maxigrow(I think it's the name) soluble powder, 2 bags, one for veg one for bloom. And his bud looks killer always👍
@Fruitgrower, This is back when I was running the full Fix Farm Line with a few add ons. It was a modified version of their feed schedule and actually used lesser amounts than recommended at times, but you're right... It was a lot of mixing! In the near future I plan to start running clones and comparing nutrients lines. Hoping to find the most bang for my buck without compromising overall quality.
@FoTwenny, I am not taking that page from your book, I have 6 different stains going now and I am so over it! I am doing 10 Strawberry Pies, and 5 of another strain to fill my Auto Closet, and then 1 Strain in my Phot Period Tent this enough excitement for me! You are my Canna Hero!
@MrJones, I am perpetually behind on updates, but getting closer and closer to catching up. 😂😂😂 That said, this garden is all over the place. With so many different strains and some starting flower earlier than others, the canopy is far from even. Nonetheless, I am very happy with how well everything is going. Right now, I am placing the tallest cultivars on the outer edges and the shorter plants in the middle. Thanks for stopping by Jonesy! Thanks for the love and support! Happy growing!
