Fo' Twenny here with yet ANOTHER diary! Because I am crazy and decided to start another seed. Maybe not crazy, just want to be prepared. Hear me out: In the SOG we have 3 regular seeds. Who knows how many males we will get and the Jenny Kush Regular replacement seed (first was a dud) still hasn't sprouted. Maybe these seeds just aren't viable anymore. I figure I can make room on the other half of the tent if the Jenny Kush makes a surprise showing, but either way, there are only going to be 3 plants in the other half of the 96" x 48" tent, so I can make room for this plant somewhere if I need to. We shall see how things progress, and I will make those decisions when the time comes. Until then, I hope you'll follow myself and this diary. I have a lot of great stuff running right now. So, please check out my other diaries too! 🙏🙏🙏 8/26 Update: We have a little Gorilla x Cookies Seedling. Added photos of here Feeding with .5ml/gal of Blue planet Gold Shield Potassium Silicate, .5 ml/gal of RapidStart and .5 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.2. After adjusting pH I added 1 tsp of recharge. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! ☺️🌱 Peace ✌️, Love 💚, And Frosty Nugs ❄️🌲! - Fo' Twenny

Fo' Twenny here with an update on our Gorilla Cookies Seedling bred by Expert Seeds. 9/9 - Day 18 Update: She was sowed on 8/23 and sprouted on 8/26. She's a cute little seedling with a ton of potential! Feeding plain water until she gets a little bigger and because I really don't want to mix nutes for a single seedling. There's enough ferts in the medium to get her off and running! I may give her a light sprinkle of nute solution from the rest of the veg tent, and finish off with plain water! Thanks for stopping by and happy growing! ☺️🌱 Peace ✌️, Love 💚, And Frosty Nugs ❄️🌲!

Fo' Twenny here with an update on our little Gorilla x Cookies cultivar from Expert Seeds! 9/16 - Day 12: She is a beautiful shade of green and looks happy. I was one square pots short and when I bought this one, I accidentally got the 7" x 7" instead of the 6" x 6". It will bug me, because I am weird, but I planted her in it anyway. I put 1 tbsp Mycos, .5 tsp Recharge, and .25 tsp of Azos in the whole at the root zone. Sprinkled some White Dutch Clover seed after transplanting. Watered with plain water. BAD NEWS: Half of the blue diodes have gone out in the TMLAPY light. This light was actually gifted to me shortly after a friend purchased it from Amazon and realized it was too small for their space. It seemed to be serving it's purpose well for vegging photos and running bumper crops of autoflowers but it failed only four months after the warranty period ended! Weak-Sauce! GOOD NEWS: So, I upgraded the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light. $306 USD after all is said and done. https://app.alibaba.com/dynamiclink?touchId=1600101815945&type=product&schema=enalibaba%3A%2F%2Fdetail%3Fid%3D1600101815945%26ck%3Dshare_detail&ck=share_detail&shareScene=buyer 9/17 - Day 26: Installed new light NUTRITION: Mixing rundown Foliar Feed & Nutrient Solutiin 2 gal tap h2O run through x2 KDF filters Start ppm 630 Start ph 7.8 1 tsp/gal Gold Shield Silica Supplement 1 tsp/gal Fox Farm Gringo Rasta Cal-Mag 8.1 ph .33 tsp gal ph down pH: 6.5 PPM: 730 Serenade 3 tsp/gal (Always adjust pH prior to adding any microbial innocclants) Filled Spray bottle with 32 oz of the 2 gal mixed solution. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Sept. 27 - Oct. 3 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with another update on our 🦍Gorilla x 🍪Cookies cultivar from Expert Seeds. If you're just joining us, we have had this photo-dependant 50/50 Indica/Sativa hybrid vegging in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent SOG style with 20 other plants. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past week. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into the 8'x4' bloom tent running a 12/12 schedule. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. She has been a bit of a slow grower and she was started over 2 weeks later than the rest of the SOG. I think she may has been stunted by receiving too strong of feed at too young of an age. All in all, she is looking much better; so, I decided to go ahead and top her this week. She will receive some additional time in the vegetative state under 18/6 lighting schedule and I will be repotting her within the next week. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 9/30 - Day 40 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 🌿PRUNING🌿 • Topped just above the fifth node leaving a small nub to help avoid stem splitting in the future. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/1 - Day 41 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 👩‍💻 UPGRADE! 👩‍💻 - In the 96" x 48" bloom tent, I added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray. - I transplanted eleven cultivars into black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pots and inserted 3' fiberglass garden stakes into the center of the rootball near the main stem of each plant. Each stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. All transplants have nice solid root balls due to being slightly rootbound. I knew I'd likely run short on premixed soil, so I decided to transplant the largest plants first. Of course, I ran out of soil after 11 plants were transplanted. It seems like I used a lot more soil than usual with this method and in tgese pots. - I mixed a new batch of soil using the same recipe. I will give the five smallest girls a few more days to grow taller. That will give this batch of soil a little time to innoculate. - I moved the 11 transplants into the 96" x 48" bloom tent under 12/12 lighting schedule. The 🦍Gorilla x 🍪Cookies will receive and extended vegetative period to catch up to her tent-mates. 🚿FEED DAY!🚿 She received approximately 16 oz of solution. I mixed 12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have in flower. 16 oz of solution of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar. 👩‍🔬NUTRIENT SOLUTION👩‍🔬 ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. In case you're just joining us, last week we decided to give this 50/50 Indica/Sativa photo-dependant hybrid cultivar an extended veg period and kept her in the 48"x 24" VIVOSUN veg-tent to grow a little larger before flowering. She has been growing steadily since. This week we transplanted and moved her to the 96" x 48" VIVOSUN flower tent under a 12/12 lighting schedule! Observation: Ever since I upgraded the AC and have been maintaining lower temps, I notice that don't have to water nearly as often. Used to be about every 3 - 4 days, and now, its closer to 5 - 6 days. The White Dutch Clover may also play a factor here. I do mist the top of the pots with 1-2 oz every day to every other day with plain water to keep the White Dutch Clover happy. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 12 - Oct. 18 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🌱🚿 SOWED - 8/26 🕛🌼 STARTED 12/12 CYCLE - 10/10 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with another update on our photo-dependant 55/45 Indica/Sativa hybrid cultivar, 🦍🍪 GORILLA COOKIES, bred by EXPERT SEEDS! She had a later start and was a bit of a slow starter, but she's really starting to pick up steam! She has nice thick stems and fairly tight internodal growth. This lady has an imoressive pedigree and I am really looking forward to watching her progress through flower. Stay tuned to see how she develops! STRATEGY: To keep our SOUR LEMONAID cultivar and her White Dutch Clover cover crop hydrated between feeds, every other day or so (as needed), she gets about 4 - 6 oz of plain filtered water pH adjusted between 6.2 and 6.6. This is sprayed evenly around the top of the medium using a 32 oz ZEP Professional sprayer. This has allowed me to minimize feeds to about one a week eliminating the need to mix my reservoir twice a week. Since she is mid stretch, I am keeping defoliation to a minimum, no more than 5-10% of the plants foliage in a week. I am only removing lower shoots that will only end up yielding larf as well as mature fan leaves (my definition of mature fan leaves: petioles of 1.5-2" and typically below the top three nodes of a growth shoot) that are facing inward towards the main stem. Next week will be focused more on those fan leaves that are excessively shading neighboring plants along with the lower leaves on any shoots left on the plant. Typically, the first 2-3 nodes of smaller growth shoots yield much smaller nugs. That said, on any remaining smaller growth shoots, I plan to remove those lower leaves and bud-sites early. This will also help with airflow and light penetration. I will not trim more than 25% of leaves per week. I actually stay closer to 15-20% per week or less while in flower, depending on the cultivar. I'm practicing some very light LST techniques. GENTLY bending stems to encourage even well-balanced growth intended to open the plants' center up for even light penetration and airflow. The goal is to evenly balance her growth within her 1'x1' footprint and avoid crowding herself or others. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 24 - Oct. 30 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👩‍🌾 SOWED: Aug. 26th 🕛 12/12 START : Oct.10th 🗓️ WEEK 4 of FLOWERING 🏁 ESTIMATED FINISH: Dec 5th - Dec. 12th •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with another update on our 🦍🍪 GORILLA COOKIES cultivar bred by EXPERT SEEDS! I am trying a new format for the weekly summary portion of my diary. Let me know what ya'll think! 👃 AROMA: She smells earthy and herbal but not very pungent at this point. It's still early in flower, so her terpenes are not very noticeable yet. I am excited to experience the evolution of her terpene profile as she progresses through flower. One of my favorite aspects of growing cannabis is how much these plants change from start to finish and how much variation is possible with this plant. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: Her buds are just starting to form. She has many bright white pistils shooting out from clusters of calyxes. It's still very early, and anything can happen. As always, I am going to stay optimistic about this girl. Sometimes the little ones pack the biggest punch! 🎨 Color: She is a nice healthy bright shade of green with green calyxes. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She is starting to stretch significantly. She's got nice thick stems and internodes are a bit on the longer side. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but it's a good rule of thumb I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: Resin glands are starting to develop all over her buds. She is just getting started, so we will keep an eye on her to see how she develops. 🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bidiurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop . This, in conjunction with running lower temps (New AC), has seemed to have drastically increased feeding intervals. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and this run I have been generally spacing feeds out about 4-6 days when the the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight droop of lower fan leaves). 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She doesnt appear to have any signs of stress, deficiency, or toxicity. She looks very happy and healthy! Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/29 - Day 65/Day 29 of Bloom °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 🚿 FEED DAY 🚿 The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 31 - Nov. 6 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👩‍🌾 SOWED: Aug. 26th 🕛 12/12 START: Oct. 10th 🗓️ WEEK: 5 of FLOWERING 🌼 FLOWER TIME: 56-63 Days 🏁 ESTIMATED FINISH: Dec 5th - Dec. 12th •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️‍ Fo' Twenny here! 🙋‍♀️‍ Thanks for following along for another update on our 🦍🍪 GORILLA COOKIES cultivar bred by EXPERT SEEDS! This cultivar is really starting to stretch and develop numerous bud sites. She doesn’t really have a very strong odor yet. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for my weekly notes! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👃 AROMA: She smells earthy and herbal with a little gas. She is not very odiferous at this point, but I am hoping her terpene production increases as she nears the finish line. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: She is just starting to develop small bud clusters that are covered in resin glands. Her pistils are long and vibrant white. 🎨 COLOR: She is a nice healthy vibrant shade of green. Currently, there are no indications of her developing any exotic coloration. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She is stretching quite a bit. 5 inches since last update. Her internodal spacing is on the longer end of the spectrum and her stem is thick and sturdy. She has a moderate tendency to grow side branches. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: No changes in my pruning strategy. I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but it is a good rule of thumb that I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: She is just getting started, so she is not super frosty, but is developing resin glands on her calyxes and some of the smaller leaves near each top. 🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bi-diurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and try to spot-treat outliers as needed. This run, I have been generally spacing feeds out about 4-6 days when the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight drooping of lower fan leaves). 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She does not appear to have any signs of deficiency or toxicity. No indications of stress, disease, or pests. She appears to be happy and healthy. Happy Harvest Day!

She was relatively easy to grow. I think she could have used more nutes, but she was fed the same as the rest of the garden. She ended up being one of the taller cultivar's in the run. The boss came out nice, frosty, and relatively dense.

It was a great run. The final product is tasty and potent. A very enjoyable smoke, but yields could have been bigger and terps could have been louder. That may be on me, because she looked a little malnourished at the end of her run! I will definitely run her again in the future. Thanks for stopping by and visiting my garden! ✌️☺️💨

@MrJones,good morning, I keep my unused seeds in a wooden cigar box with a small dehumidifier packett, under my workbench in the basement on the concrete floor, keeps them dry and cool. so far so good. Later!!
FoTwenny
FoTwennycommented4 years ago
@MrJones, I really don't do anything fancy. I keep them in a cool dry spot. Each pack is packaged separately and I put each order in a plastic ziploc so I can find seeds from each order easily, and each if those bags goes in a gallon freezer ziploc bag. I don't refrigerate or anything at this time. Maybe I will at some point, but I think I am going to keep pheno hunting for a while and use up some beans until I have selected a few winners worth revegging and cloning. I haven't found anything with a real wow factor yet. It's all good stuff, but I am looking for that one that is a unanimous 10 star cultivar.

@FoTwenny, yeah general hydroponics maxigro and maxibloom will make your life a lot easier. It's cheap and it's a complete feed. The grows I'm harvesting now never got any additives or boosters.

@FoTwenny, hey, well if you're looking for a simple feed. @wicked_stix uses maxigrow(I think it's the name) soluble powder, 2 bags, one for veg one for bloom. And his bud looks killer always👍

@Fruitgrower, This is back when I was running the full Fix Farm Line with a few add ons. It was a modified version of their feed schedule and actually used lesser amounts than recommended at times, but you're right... It was a lot of mixing! In the near future I plan to start running clones and comparing nutrients lines. Hoping to find the most bang for my buck without compromising overall quality.

@FoTwenny, I am not taking that page from your book, I have 6 different stains going now and I am so over it! I am doing 10 Strawberry Pies, and 5 of another strain to fill my Auto Closet, and then 1 Strain in my Phot Period Tent this enough excitement for me! You are my Canna Hero!

@MrJones, I am perpetually behind on updates, but getting closer and closer to catching up. 😂😂😂 That said, this garden is all over the place. With so many different strains and some starting flower earlier than others, the canopy is far from even. Nonetheless, I am very happy with how well everything is going. Right now, I am placing the tallest cultivars on the outer edges and the shorter plants in the middle. Thanks for stopping by Jonesy! Thanks for the love and support! Happy growing!
