Started 4 new seeds out in a paper towel, getting ready to plant into pots as soon as they have germinated. Excited to be trying out some new strains from Fast Buds. Let’s see how I do with them. Seeds were planted 28/8 Day 3 Update - Lemon Pie has popped up first and shown it’s first real leaves. The two Sour Diesels are just visible but nothing yet from the White Widow Week 1 Overview - 3 of the 4 plants have started perfectly! All but the White Widow. Due to inexperience I’m not sure if I should of left it germinating for longer or if it was just a dud, but never the less I started another germinating to go in its place which will get planted later today, 1 week behind the rest. Hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one!

These 3 girls are looking strong, unfortunately had no luck with germinating the other White Widow seed from Seedsman, 2/3 have failed. 100% from fastbuds so am happy! Week 2 Summary All the plants are going great, think I am going to have to raise these up closer to the light as they are in the tent with another plant. I’ve fed with a reduced amount than recommended and added cal mag and PH’d between 5.8 and 6.

One of the sour diesel plants flopped on its side so propped it up with some wire and lifted the plant to get it closer to the light End of week 3 the sour diesel 2 is looking better But there is something wrong with the lemon pies leaf. Also looks like the 2 sour diesels have the same mutation in 1 exact leaf.

hey Jbuv1, this is from pests as you can see from the "sharp" markings on the leafs. the best you can do is follow a strict wet dry cycle because these bugs are attracted to humidity and their eggs crack a die during the dry part of the cycle. so try to keep the soil a bit more dry by not over watering, try the pot lifting method to never over water again www.youtube.com/watch . if you follow a strict wet dry cycle eventually the bugs sir if disappear. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Decided to try topping one of the sour diesels, something I’ve never done before so we will see what happens! Can only learn by trying new methods!

Haven’t had the time to spend with the girls over the last few weeks. But managed to get in today for some way overdue LST. Looks like this was just in time. Also looking like the pests are gone and the plants are bouncing back. Sour diesel 2 is defiantly looking like it’s going to be the highest wielder after the topping! Trying something new and I’m glad I did.

Had another busy few weeks with moving house, I didn’t manage to get in to see that plants all too much atall. Looks like they could've done with a little more watering as am seeing some sort of deficiency in the leaves. Am a little worried about the lemon pie as it’s looking so scrawny! Gave the girls a watering today, look how much they’ve stretched up! Looking like these sour diesels from fastbuds are going to be great! Can’t wait for the buds to start fattening up. The Lemon pie looks healthier, very dark leaves but looks like it’s putting on some weight! I’ve learned so much this run and I’m buzzing to pop some more beans. I think I’m going to try using some coco pellets to start the next ones to let them establish some roots better!

The girls are looking really good, they’ve really shot up in size and despite the Lemon Pie being so scrawny it’s covered in bud sites do I’ll see what comes from it. I’m going to try adding some liquid w8 in the next watering.

Looking good so far this week 14/11 Gave the girls a watering today by the amount of water it took to get some run off I haven’t been watering them enough. I’m still learning, watering being one of the things I find most confusing. Any tips in the comments for watering in coco would be much appreciated! I’m also going to cut back on the amount of nutrients I’m feeding with. I have been going by the amounts on the FloraSeries bottles. I believe this could be a factor in my plants growing slow.

Some really nice purple colours are coming through on the sour diesels. The lemon pie looks like it’s going to have more buds than I first expected. So maybe not all hope is lost with that one. I’ve started to feed with much less nutes as going by the amounts on the bottles is too much I have come to learn.

Brought in a dehumidifier into the tent so that I can control my humidity. The grow is getting there slowly, in learning more and adding to my collection as I go. The humidity was reading 80%RH when I turned it on, so have set it to bring it down to 50%RH. I’m hoping that this will be really beneficial to the plants. I am learning that environment is key. I’ve also brought in a second light into the tent for the plants in my other diary’s. Check them out I’m always open to tips and advice In the comments!

Just a watering till run off today for these, the dehumidifier is starting to bring the humidity down although I think this will take a few days to work as the dehumidifier turns off once is full. Next feeding will be in 2-3 days. Not long left to go on these girls. Few weeks I think. Feeding today for the girls, looking really good. Looks like the humidity is down to 50%RH now!

Looks like I didn’t spot this deficiency I time! From what I can find online this looks to be a magnesium deficiency. I’m guessing from where I dropped the nutes too low. Either that or it could of been a PH mistake. But never the less upped the nutes again to try and save her. I’ve also added a heater into the grow space as temps were dropping into the danger zone UPDATE Happy to say that it looks like the I’ve sorted the deficiency as I haven’t notice anything new Over the last few days. I came to the conclusion that it was a CalMag defficency and not nute burn. From what I’ve leaned nute burn would start on the tips of the leaves. Whereas the cal mag deficiency would start from within the leaf. Correct me if I’m wrong!

What deficiency is this? I lowered my nutes quite dramatically, I’m thinking that this is most likely the cause. I have fed with stronger nutes the next feeding after spotting this.

After some more research I would say this is most likely a Calcium or Magnesium deficiency

So it seems I left the plants without water for too long, after putting a heater and a dehumidifier in I didn’t consider how quick the plants would dry out. They were bone dry when I got to them. Hopefully not too late! I gave them enough water to produce a decent amount of run off. This is the start of my flush so until harvest I’ll be feeding with plain PH’d water and watering till run off. Fingers crossed! Update It looks like they’ve pulled through, the buds look like they’re really fattening up. Going to keep flushing until they are ready to be chopped! Not long now!

Last week of flush now up until harvest, cannot wait to try these. The buds have turned out so nice. I’ve got a temperature controller to keep the temps consistent. Going to get these cut as soon as the tricomes start to turn amber! That’s it and 1 down now, drying until a branch snaps next to chop will be the lemon pie and then finally the other diesel. Cannot wait! I will update soon with the yeild and smoke report!

Wow, these sour diesel plants powered through this whole run which looking back has had some questionable conditions. They seemed to be able to fight off the thrip problem early on much better than the lemon pie. I tried topping one of the sour diesels which now I can see did very slightly increaSe yeild but the buds are much more stringy. A good run really I’ve learned a lot from this one.
