BAM!!! 😝 Big shout out to @pevseeds, pretty cool packages! 😎😎 Really excited to get started on these beauties... 😁 First, I like to give the seeds a very light sanding before I drop them in the pool. It seems to help with weakening of the shell to soak in the water. After 18hrs, carefully drain the seeds and cover them up in a non-bleach coffee filter (Less fibres then paper towel). I used a heat mat and covered the plate up with a towel. Becareful of the temps of your heat mat... almost had baked seeds😵 I usually wait until the root is out alot farther, but being worried of the high temps, in the soil they go! Placed them about an 1/2 in down, a drop of water... and BAM!!!😍 Day 7 from first swim.... Nice genetics PEV!👍 See ya week 2!

Great Week! Wedding cake is looking to party!😂 Stretching up and reaching out.... I placed them on the heat mat, set temp for 20 C (68 F). First light they have is a 75 w led with 4 led UV. The girls really seem to like it 😀 Gave them a little bit of water, enough to soak the outside soil, and every 2nd day due to the heat mat drying them out faster. Added a fan (on low) to strengthen the stem. Hopefully it also keeps the little pest away if they come😈 Soil mixture is kryptonite, perlite, and some organic pro-mix. Kryptonite is way to hot for young roots by itself... adding pro-mix and perlite certainly balances the nutrients. I just use tap water which is pH 7 (Neutral) and the soil adjust the pH usually around 6.5😀 The girls are certainly out pacing their BB sisters.... let the competition begin😱 Enjoy! 😁😝

Every week is Awesome!!!😎 Wedding Cake is growing nicely. I usually try and transplant when the leafs touch the edge of the cup... this time I let them grow and extra day or 2 before the transplant begins. Also, the main tent isn't going to be ready for another couple of weeks, so they're going into 3 gallon pots for now... only size that would fit in side tent. When I transplant, I like to water them a day before.... maybe a little extra.... so the soil stays together better. I got a little excited and forgot to take pics of the girls roots... 😳 I like to use empty cups in the new pots when getting ready.... so much easier 😎 Because I watered generously the day before, I only gave the outside edges a little bit.... The light in the side tent is a 600w led burple (which equals out to 210w... I think), I don't mind for early stages but definitely wanting the main tent 😁 Giving them about a 250ml of water every 3-4 days. I'm thinking about mainlining....😶 Cya next week 👌

Ohhhhh Wedding Cake!!! Well, even though my temps have been low... in the 16-17 C range this week, but the girls are thriving 😍. They're wanting more water... so I'll probably start giving 500ml every 3 days.... In the pics, you can see the node spacing on these girls are different. One has far spacing and one is close... gonna be fun later on 😁 Pretty sure I'm going to top them next week and start some bending 😮 Hopefully they'll get in the main tent in the next week or so... then I'll do another transplant into bigger pots so I can get a good train in before the switch.. Just add water... 😁😍😵 Bam!!! C-ya next week! 😎

BAM! The week of topping! 😝 The girls are doing fantastic.... and I mean fantastic! Their leaves are a nice green colour with little to no imperfections 💪. They're now drinking 500ml of water every 2-3 days. You can start to see the 5th nodes... and I plan on doing a mainline.... so it's chop chop time at the 3rd node. Check out those fine ass pics up where the pics are...😂 I never had any luck cloning tops... except for 1... but I never give up! I have tried all the different methods, but going to give the mineral wool a try again.... I also like to use honey as a hormone agent. I always clean my tools with 99% isopropyl alcohol before cutting into the girls. I try to give about 2-3 days to recover before I start cleaning up the bottom.... unless I'm still going for clones😎. If there is arms not growing fast enough... I'll start clipping 😂. Next week will be a fun one 😁. Stay tuned and stay stoned!

New week of progress and mistakes... maybe... 😂 There's a lot going on, so lets get at it.... The week started off good. Cleaned up the bottom nodes but left the big fan leaves... Seen this done elsewhere and wanted to try for myself. Each fan leave is for storing energy for that arm... by removing the arm (node), the fan leaf is still collecting and storing energy and will directed towards the growth of the plant.... lets see! 👊 The mainline training starts after a few days of recovery. I'll use green garden ties and U stakes. Once they're in a nice horizontal position, we'll let them rest again. Now, the next couple of days is where I might have made a slight mistake....😲 I usually top again as soon as I SEE the 2nd set of nodes on the new arms... (Top at the first set), but this time I thought I would give them a couple of more days... I shouldn't have... 👉👺👈 All that did was waste two days of recovery/growth because the energy went to the main top instead of the 1st set of nodes. Lesson learned!!! Do what I know...😂 which still isn't much... 😂😅 Truthfully, all the mistake did was add about a week to my veg time. I was planning mainlining 8 colas, but might need to go with 4 because of timeline restraints... But... If they recover quickly and grow as quick, then we might have 8 new arms!!! I'm watering 500ml every 3 days due to recovery... soon they'll want more. I don't mention the pH much... that's due to the organic soil balancing out the plain tap water... which has a neutral pH 7. I have to say it makes for easier growing 😀. Wonder what next week has in store.... 😵 Grow big and stay safe! 😜

Main tent week!!! 😆 The Sun is a 315w CMH and 1800w COB lights. Finally have the tent free for the girls. I'm hoping the girls will thrive now even though I'm going to continue shocking them 😵. I'm going for the 8 colas per plant! 🙏 As you can see after a couple of days, I topped again at the first node on the new arms... last time I tried this, I waited until the 3rd node... I didn't want to lose any more energy for the timeline that's in place. You can noticed the difference in the pheno types... one has just a bit skinnier leaves... one is taller... BAM!!! They're both healthy 😂😅 I started giving them 1 litre every 3rd day... the girls are definitely drying out faster in the open space, cloth pots and all the fans. Next week I'll probably transplant one more time into bigger pots.... and maybe switch to 12/12 light at the end of the week 😵 Some of the leaves have some markings on them. It's not from a deficiency, it's from my stupid ass spraying preventive spray with the light on...😂 Had some aphids on the last grow and was just making sure I don't get them again. 👍 So far, Wedding Cake strain from Pev Seeds, is growing quite fast and healthy. Organic Super Soil... just add water... pH 7... BAM!!! See ya's next week... Happy Growing!

New Week.... new misadventures! 😁 The girls started the week off good from all the topping in the previous week. Did training on one then the other one the next day. Wedding Cake seem to be like their cousins in the tent... very fast to bounce back from anything I threw at them... so far...😂 I thought it was a great idea to transplant them into their forever homes... I watered them from the bottom up, 3-4 hours before the transplant.👍 Made sure all the ties are good...👍 But misjudged how dry/thirsty they were.👺 I peeled off the cloth pots, and they fell apart... I bet I have about 50-60% in my hand and the rest everywhere else... There is this technique called root pruning... I'm just improving the method! 😂😳😭 So let's stop there... nope! Since they're not dead...😮 let's stress them more by cutting off some arms.... but not touch the fan leaves. I believe that all the energy will be now directed to the tops and the fans leaves are still there for collecting light. I didn't bother with the tomato rings yet... had to stop somewhere. Watering was a little off this week... found out from all the dust...😂 but starting with the new pots, the girls will get 2 litres every 3 days or as needed. This next week will be rest and recover since they will be switched at the end of it... Dead or alive, I'll be back with an update... but so far... Hats off to you PEV! all seeds are resilient AF!!! 👌👍💪 BAM!!!

The girls didn't die... woohoo!!!💪👌👍 Like I said... resilient AF! They handled the 'New Prune Method'... removing of arms... plant bondage... might as well the kitchen sink at them (Just kidding... Please don't 😂). Gave them a couple of days rest, then went right back at it. Clipped the next set of nodes up but once again kept the fan leaves... I believe this will direct move of the energy into the main colas and not into the satellite arms.... I believe this... I really do..😅😂😳 I usually like to give them about a week of good growth before I flip them to 12/12... But with schedule, height issues and something I'm forgetting... Let's Go!!! 😝 The last couple of pics is when they first awoke from their dreams of fruition... aka 12/12. 👊 Gave them only 1L the first day then held them out until the 4th day, then gave them 2L slowly... really wanted to saturate the soil instead of quick runoff. The Girls seem to like it this way... Yeah Baby! Since they didn't die and are being flipped.... See ya's in Flower! BAM! 😁

First week of flower.... Surprise.... you have a BOY!!!😲 That's right... I see nuts! I have to say it certainly was a surprise... but, from my very first grow, one of my buddies said I should always have backup just in case something goes wrong....👺 I'm glad I listened. I did some cloning at the start, and I have myself two nice clones, maybe a little early to switch... but we're going to do it anyways! With that said.... I forgot to label which WC clones I kept...WC#1 or WC#2... might have two more boys.... another reason I'm switching now😵. Alright, back to it... 👈 After I removed the Groom from the tent, and found a new home for him👻... I transplanted the clones into bigger pots with new soil, (2 gallon I think), gave them about 250ml of water, found a spot for them, topped one and trying for six arms... Fim'ed the second one with 4 visible arms right now... even though they are being switched, lets see what happens👊. Now that's good testing... 👌👍 The Main girl is doing fantastic! She has some real nice satellite arms growing... was thinking on removing them too... but they will survive another week. WC stretched probably about 3-4 inches👋... but I think she's just getting started. She also seems to be outgrowing her Big Bud cousin with the same training/growing technique. She's drinking 2L every 4 days with about 5% runoff... I'm trying not to lose to much since it's all organic. I need to get my bigger cloth pots👿... As you see in the pics, I added the tomato rings this time instead of using the net/scrog... easier when ya need to adjust an arm or two. So, for the next week, fingers crossed that the only nuts in the tent are mine 😜😂 @pevseeds... If I had another tent, I would have kept the groom and test a clone with him... Double Layer Wedding Cake😜😝😳 Thanks for watching!

No Nut Week!!! 😝 After a surprising last week, this one is going great👊! So far the clones haven't showed any nuts... still watching closely. WC is growing like a good weed... a really good weed😀! She is pretty much in the middle of the tent, and I do spin her everyday... She has these really nice satellite arms I was going to get rid of... glad I didn't. I am removing all the larf on the satellite arms... learned from previous grows that those arms don't stack and it's wasted energy for the nugget on top 👈. WC is still on the drinking schedule of 2L every 4 days... as I mentioned in my other diary, I learned the first three weeks of stretch, WC is still building a strong root system for when the magic comes. So, let's give her minimal drink with a good drying out stage... make her work hard for it💪. As I mentioned... OFF WITH THE LARF!😂 The White Hats are coming.... 😳 We'll talk about the clones next week.... not much going on except no nuts so far... 👍 Stay safe everyone and Happy Holidays!

3rd week defoliation!!!😎 Having some great growth from Wedding Cake... as you can see, even after all the transplanting, topping, bending, and clipping....WC can take it and more! She is stacking nicely with some very nice white hats on top. All eight arms are relatively the same height and she likes to drink. Since she is such a tough cake😂... I'm doing a nice and heavy defoliation to see how well she bounces back. I have tried this on different strains, some like it... some don't. We will definitely know if WC likes it by week 6.👍 I removed all of the fan leaves I left behind when I clipped the shoots and also any big leaves that are covering any bud. I know some will scream NOOOOooo😱!!! It's ok.... it's for testing purposes!👌😁 She's drinking 2-3L every 3-4 days... she should be drinking more, and I know she will as soon as I leave her ass alone. I believe her stretch is close to being over... she's around 23" inches. She's also in the center of both the lights which are about 18" inches above her. Since I had nuts on the other one and got rid of it😡, I have two clones taking it's place. I topped one and fim'ed the other the same day I switched them to 12/12 (one week after I switched their mother)... never done that before so should be interesting to see.... I'm going to have my cake and eat it too...😂😅😵 Stay safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Happy New Year Week! 😂 WC is growing great. She's stacking nicely, starting to have a strong smell... can't seem to identify it just yet.... 👌 I moved her more under the LED light and gave more room for the clones to get a little size... and they are.😀 The colors of the light really plays tricks on your eyes... but I can't wait until they get that way from cold shock...😱 That's for later on. Her cousins got the bugs... dam dirty plants...😂 So far, haven't seen any on Wedding Cake or her clones... they still got sprayed though.😁 She's doing better on the drinking now... 3L every 2-3 days.... it will probably increase yet. There's really no more training I have to do since the mainline went perfect... just sit back and tie the colas to the tomato ring when time is right. I am thinking about the 'six week defol'... I have tried it before and it seemed to work... colas got really fat.😁 Guess I'll see when the six week rolls around... Happy Growwing! 👊

Perfect week!😎 Not much to do with the girl this week except removing a leaf or two that were covering a bud site. She does seem to be getting heavier and starting to lean. 😲 That's why I love the tomato rings or a net... something to attach and hold. I also love the sign of them getting fat... that's when you know you're doing a good job up to that point of time.👊 The thripes seem to be under control... they never go away until you clean the tent real good... better then I did apparently 😂😅😱 I used 1 part 3% peroxide and 3 parts water and sprayed under and over the leaves... protected the bud sites with my hand. Also, if you see any leaves that look like a deficiency... that's my stupid ass spraying with the lights on😅... but maybe I boiled the little fuckers to death.... yeah... I'm gonna go with that 😁 She's drinking a solid 3L every 3 days but she's quite light on the third day... so I believe it's time to up the water or reduce the time in between... All her nodes are starting to come together to form that beautiful giant cola 😲 and I will have eight of them😍👊. Even the satellite arms are going to have nice little nugs... I'm glad I removed most of the larf... I think by doing so it lets more energy go to the nugs. One more defoliation, then there will be nothing but nugs and colas... Yeah Baby!!! Thanks for coming! Happy Growing!!! 😀

Week #6 I like when this week rolls around. Most girls are done growing up and are getting ready to grow wide! 😜 As seen throughout my grows, I like to remove leaves. This makes some growers uncomfortable as plants need their leaves for growing.👺 I will leave some, but only to remove later... which I don't really consider that a defoliation since it is one leaf or two... After almost 2 years of growing, and searching through piles of info on the big bad web, what I'm finding out is that you really need to know the strain to really know what's best. I'm more of a different strain but same technique sort of grower! One of my fellow growers just grows one strain all the time and he certainly does know it...I have Cola envey!😍 The bugs seemed to do their magic trick... disappear. Now they have me waiting to see if they're coming back with a vengence! Haven't sprayed in a few days due to the nice buds... but I will when the fuckers come back! 😈 Wedding Cake is drinking steady at 3L every third day... forgot about the last watering and it went four days. She was a little extra thristy.😱 The clones are looking great!👌 One week behind, smaller pots, topped one and fim'ed the other the day I switched them (12/12)... With that said, good job @pevseeds on the genetics... so far, besides a male appearing, the strain is tough and if I had let her grow without training... I think she would be fighting for room as she grew quite big while being mainlined. 👍👊💪 Lastly, still only using water! I really like that kryptonite soil! Happy Growing!😀

Week #7😎 Another round in the books! Wedding Cake is doing fantastic since the defoliation. She is starting to fatten up and get that hard feel when you squeeze her... The inner circle buds are looking great too. 😀 So far, this is my opinion/experience of Wedding Cake by @PEVBankSeeds Germination = 😁 Seedling + Transplanting =😁 Cloning =😀 Training = 😁 Smell = Vanilla + ??? =😵😍 Bud Hardness (Growing) = 😃 Feminized Seed = 😐 There's lots more I could cover, but I'll wait till harvest week to give the rest. I don't believe she is as far along as her cousins... She's still looking at two more weeks??? 😶 As you can see from the pictures, there is damage to leaves.... some from bugs, some from spraying with light on, and some from me just being me!!!😂 I certainly do believe I lost some size due to bugs and spray, but from the training, it should make up for it and produce nice hard thick buds. She's drinking really good now... I could easily give her 3L every two day from here on out, but because I'm using plastic pots, I want her to dry out better... so, gonna stay with every three days. For the next few days, the tent temp is going to be lowered for wedding cake's cousins, Big Bud... hope this stresses her in the right way... and if it doesn't... that's gonna suck! 😝 Had a couple of puffs and forgot about the clones.... 😂 I'll have to take pics of them next week.👍 So, stay stoned and roll on! 👈😎👉

Week #8 Well, it isn't harvest week.... least for Wedding Cake!😁 She has more room in the tent since her cousins moved out... the clones are still there, but they take little room. As you can see from the pics, she has a little ways to go yet. She does have some amber, but there's still way too much clear trichomes. Hope with lower temps at night and no more water, she'll finish up sooner.😲 Her last drink was on day 52. She had 4 Litres and drank it all up. Her buds are getting nice and tight. All the lower nugs are tight as well. Next to no larf... all the extra energy is hopefully going into the buds. Not sure of her smell yet... I'll wait till harvest for that.😄 I have a feeling she's going to finish up quick like Big Bud. I'm ready for her!!! Cya's next week! Happy Growing!😁

Mambo #5.... I mean Week #9!😂 Let's get right at it... Wedding cake is certainly sticking to the breeders numbers.... I figured with the lower temps, that I would be talking about harvest, not another week drooling! The trichs in the pics are from the lower stack of the bud... still clear and cloudy with little to no amber. The top of the buds are looking finished... just forgot to take pics with the digital scope... for some high reason.... forgot!😆 The temps been as low as 13.8 C and I gave her another watering at day 56 thinking she might go the distance. She had another 4 Litres... I also snapped a few pics with lights off to get a real good look at her... still drooling😁 The smell is so strong... quite earthy now... but if you smell long enough, you can pick up on sweet undertones... or I'm just smell high😳 I usually kill the lights 3 days before I think it's harvest, but with Big Bud finishing so quick and Wedding Cake taking longer, I decided for this grow not to put her in darkness 3 before... just gonna chop her when she's ready! So, let's hope with the night temps low and her age, that she finishes up next week.... then I can drool a little more!😝 Happy Growing! 👉😁👈

Harvest Week!!!😍 Just like that, she finished up... all she needed was an extra day in the cold.😳 Her smell over the last couple of days changed to a mossy, earthy smell mixed with diesel??? Where did that come from???😵 There is some undertones of vanilla... I think... smells sweet!😜 She had no water for the week. I really like how tight the buds became while growing and stayed tight after drying . I believe mainlining is the way to go with this girl.... imagine having four girls like her in the tent... BAM!!! Over 3/4 lb of smelly treats!😍 Her trichome production was decent, but so far growing in organics, I have yet to get that real sticky grow. My buddy grows in hydro and it doesn't seem what strain he grows, pretty much everything is sticky af... but, i do prefer the taste of organics! 😀 Not really impressed with the drying time...😠 tried fighting the 'no humidity' factor with a small cool mist humidifier, but this time of year is so tough with little luck. She's gonna keep her stems in the jars with her for a bit while curing to help bring back a little moisture. Haven't had a true taste yet since she's not cured, but I will update when I get at 'er! 😁 107.7 Grams... Awesome!!! Thank You @pevbankseeds 😁👍 Germination = 😁 Seedling + Transplanting = 😁 Cloning = 😁 Training = 😍 Smell = Earthy, Diesel, Kinda Sweet =😍 Bud Hardness (Growing+Dry) = 😍+😍 Feminized Seed = 😳 Vaping = 😁 Overall = 😁👌 Update: Feb. 28. Wedding Cake isn't fully cured yet, but she certainly taste nice... especially if you like diesel!😵 I do find the diesel overtakes the sweet taste a bit... but hey... are we eating it!!! 😝
