This is them at about week 3 from seed. The first week to week and a half a quite boring, since they go from paper towel, to Root Riots. I started them off in a single 5 gal bucket, rigged up to hold 2 5" net pots. I'm currently waiting on what's in the tent now to finish completely then they will go in their final homes.

This is week 3, and boy they are growing fairly quickly! They are under a 2ft 4 bulb T5 fluorescent right now and when they get to where this light is not enough, they go in to the tent with a 500watt metal halide to finish off their veg life.

This is week 5 from seed, week 4 of veg under 2ft 4 bulb t5. They are both waiting for their spot inside the tent to continue their journey. They should be in the tent by the end of this week. One on the left has been FiM'ed and the right one was topped a few days ago. Trying to figure out what method I like better. Once they are under the MH bulb I will do the same to the new tops that grow out from the first time. These ladies are growing fast. This time they will veg only for about 30 days, as last time grow I had a few issues that drew out the film sate and I almost ran out of head room.

They are in their final home under a 500watt metal halide. Having a couple of issues, one I think due to being under the small t5 and the other is that I found that the air stones decided to plug up, I thought they were new but I guess not. So replaced them (2 4inch in each) with new ones and now they getting the air they love. Plan on fimming and topping again a after they get used to the bigger light. *UPDATE* i fimmed the Green Poison and topped the Fruity Chronic Juice again. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to tie them down to the bucket tops. Also, I think the next purchase is going to be a new ultrasonic humidifier, since they would probably like a bit higher humidity then the 30-40% they get now. Anyone have any suggestions on a decent one?

So I think for the next 2 weeks I'm going to kick the lights up to 750 watts to try and get some more growth out of them before I switch to flower. Then flip them in a week or so. Last grow I was close to running out of height, mostly because of my ballast dying right before I wanted to flip and they ended up getting a bit taller then I wanted. So this time Im flipping sooner. Res change tomorrow(4-12) to transition week nutes. So far everything is going very smoothly. +Update+ Did a res change on Thursday, still running nutrients at around 1/3 strength and they seem happy, might kick it up to 2/3 when I flip. It seems that the Fruity Chronic Juice doesn't like to be topped that much as it slowed her down a bit, and the Green Poison definitely liked the fimming a lot as it didn't slow her down at all! Maybe I'll do a combo of both or just fim from now on. Still have them under 750 watts till I flop them. ::Sidenote:: Next I need to figure out how I can extend my drying time to 5 days or longer for these 2 girls, as my first grow dried to quickly and still smells of fresh grass a bit after approx. 2 weeks of curing, which I suspect it was caused by drying to fast.

Fimmed the both of them again on Sunday(4-16). Fed them transition nutes on Thursday. Planning the flip on Thursday with their res change. They are looking great so far. Haven't had any major issues yet, which is always good. Maybe next cycle I will run 3 plants again and change the tent around to fit it better.

Started 12/12 light schedule on Thursday(4-19), changed out their res with 1/2 strength nutes. I will leave the Metal Halide bulb in for about another week then in goes the HPS. They are at about 18-20 inches tall, and about the same wide and looking great!

They are now under the HPS bulb. For some reason they are turning a really dark green which might be to much N? So I think I'm taking out the CALiMAGic from their schedule. They are just starting to throw some pistils and are looking good other than the N setback, which will sort its self out. **UPDATE**4-30 I went to check on them today, and I noticed on a few leaves that they had what looked like brown crispy leaf on the edges , looks weird. I'm going to do some research on this and see what I can find out. Did a little bit of canopy clean up down on the lower parts, a little bit every day. *UPDATE* 5-3 Ive been waiting for the issues to pop up, and it started today. 1. It went from constant low 70s in the tent up to about 80-81, because it went from winter to summer in the matter of a day. I hope the weather evens back to spring weather soon, or else number 2 will become a major problem. 2. Res temps are wayyy up, and I hope problem 1 resolves it's self soon. *Possible Solution * Go grab some containers that will hold the 5gal buckets, and fill the containers with water and cool the containers with either water bottles or put together a DIY water chiller. I hope it doesn't come down to this.... Any suggestions? Anyone?

Starting week 9 from seed. Looking good, haven't had any major issues yet. I've been so busy I've been slacking on updates. This week the Green Poison was eating so much that I had to start adding back nutrients through out the week to make sure she had enough food. The Fruity Chronic Juice has been coming along at a slower pace. Added a A/C unit to the room the tents are in if needed through the summer.

Next week we will add the Kool Bloom powder for 2 weeks, taper down the feed, then flush for a week or so before waiting for them to finish. Am I just being paranoid or do they still look a bit too green? *Update*6-20 Changed out res of FCJ on 5-19, trying to figure out their preferred nute strength, and they are coming along great. Also been browsing around for some Autos and maybe a CDB strain to try out in the future to see if they appeal to meet or not, hmm.... *Update*6-22 They look to be developing well, still not much smell from them though, which is good in a way. Hopefully they start to fill out and stack up a bit more.... Saturday I will start the Koolbloom powder for 2 weeks. Everything has been cruising right along so far, not many snags as the last time, and Im thoroughly enjoying growing in DWC, once I move, which should be soon, Im going to a UCRDWC system which should kill it

Changed out the Green Poison res(5-25), Fruity Chronic Juice will be tomorrow or Sunday. They are looking good, but I'm hoping they bulk up a bit the next few weeks cause they are looking kinda scrawny right now. Changed out the Fruity Chronic Juice today(5-26) . I think I need to add another fan into the setup. Right now I have a 6 inch centrifugal on the scrubber and a 6inch mixed flow on the light, I was thinking of getting a 8inch Hyper Fan for the light, putting the mixed flow on the scrubber and setting up the centrifugal for an intake. I'd get better temps during the summer and with the mixed flow on the scrubber, I'd get more exhausting power. *UPDATE*-5-28 Today during my daily checks, I noticed on a few leaves that I saw what looks to be the small brown/rust color spots of calcium deficiency. I also got calcium deficit in the later stages of flowering on my first grow. I stopped adding calmag weeks ago because I thought they were getting to much N, so I'll give them a small amount(~150-200ppm) over the next few days to see if they helps. Other than that, they look great and are starting to smell wonderful! **Side Notes** I've been thinking of upgrading some aspects of my operation. They are as follows 1. Bigger 8 inch fan 2. Bigger linear diaphragm air pump 3. Coverting my dwc buckets to either a recirculating dwc system or a undercurrent rdwc system 4. Bigger(5x5 or bigger) better(light proof and layout) tent AND finally 5. Cmh conversion kit to make use of a old reflector, for veg. Some of these are going to happen sooner (fan, tent, and system change) then the others. This has turned into a real hobby that I enjoy doing, while learning a lot, and is really fun. **Update**5-31 Today during my checks, also yesterday, I noticed that their ph were dropping significantly over 24h. Tomorrow I will be dumping both res' if they drop super low again.

6-1 I did a res change today since the ph has been dropping for a few days. This will probably be the last res change, I will let them eat what I put in there today and just keep topping off the res till they are done, and maybe drop the ppms really low(200-300) for a flush, since I can't really find out a proper way to flush in dwc. They are looking excellent and smelling even better! I cannot wait to try these girls out! Hopefully I can dry/cure them better then the last grow.... Also, humidity shot through the roof, hopefully it drops a bit over the next couple days till my dehumidifier gets here *Update*6-3 Man, the smells these girls are giving off are amazing! The Green Poison is definitely the dominant one in this department. Also looks like the Fruity Chronic Juice is not going to be done at the same time, so I will chop when the GP is about 20% amber. *Update*6-8 So now, we wait! I've been topping up their res with plain ph'ed water, and will continue to do so till I see some amber popping up, then, CHOP CHOP!! *Update*6-10 The Green Poison has a flowering period of 49-58 days and the Fruity Chronic Juice is 50-55 days. So we should be coming up on the higher end of those this week, day 58 will be Thursday(6-14). So Tuesday or Wednesday I will empty and give straight water(or do I have to flush with r/o water?) and wait for them to finish up a bit more. The trichomes are mostly cloudy right now with some clear still visible, so almost done!

Grow Questions

How do you flush exactly in DWC? Do you just change out the reservoir with ph adjusted water? Or do you just lower the ppms(my starting water is 130-170)? Is there any flushing agents that actually work?

Yes you will switch out your nutrient treated water for plain Jane regular Ph’d water. For deep water culture you won’t need any flushing agents due to there being so soil, coco, or other water retaining medium that holds and builds up salts. If you truly wanted to use a fushing agent however my personal favorite is Sledgehammer by fox farm. I did notice some curling up of the leaves as well. This could be caused by a few factors such as: improper ph, wind burn or heat stress. Double check on all three factors and make sure that they are all in line. Best of luck on your grow and I hope you yield well!

I'm getting very anxious now, these girls need to finish soon! They are looking great, smelling dank, and taking their sweet ass time to show their final colors. *UPDATE*6-15 Chopped them both tonight.Apparently you can't really tell color of the trichombs with out the led light on the microscope. Under HPS light, you can't see the amber color. So the Green Poison had more amber then I wanted, whatever. I hung them both upside down in the tent, I will go in after a couple of days and pull most of the big fans off. I want them to dry in about a week to 10 days this time, instead of 3 days like the first grow. *UPDATE*5-24 So I'm actually really pissed off AGAIN ! So I hung the whole plant this time, got 7 days before they were dry, trimmed them up and put them in jars. And the fucking hay smell is back after 2 days in jars! So I thought maybe a wee bit too wet still to be in jars, now they are in paper bags. I don't get it, I got the hay smell first go around which resulted in a half pound of un smokable weed. I don't get what I'm doing wrong, I changed everything I thought would cause it. Harvested plants later, check, dryer longer(7days this time instead of 3),check, no light in dry room, check, 45-60% rh, check, Temps under 73(Temps were 65-71),check, toss in jars when small stems snap and big stems almost snap, check. This is absolutely ridiculous and insanely infuriating

This was a free seed that I got when I ordered some beans. So I didn't really have high hopes from the get go, but it turned out alright.

This was also another free bean, but this one I thought was gonna be a decent one to grow, and it turned out much better then I had originally thought. It was pretty easy to grow, yielded well enough that I would try again when I get more experience. As I grew out only a single seed I can't comment on different phenos or anything like that.
