It took me a few weeks to figure out, but I had purchased some bogus pH 7.0 reference solution. My meter actually calibrated with the solution the first time I calibrated with it and the next time it started spitting out errors when calibrating. It turns of the pH of the reference solution was 9.3. Some of our plants fared better than others, but they were all definitely stunted to some degree. While unfortunate, it was a good experience because important lessons have been learned regardless of the damage that was done.
