10/26:
I started a pair of MPP's in rapid rooters in net pots, in my DWC cloner.
10/28:
2 sprouts!
10/30:
2 seedlings!
I planted them in 1/2 gallon biodegradable fabric pots and will plant those in some 3 gallon fabric pots (which actually hold closer to 4 gallons) once I harvest my current crop and have somewhere to put them.
11/2:
They're off to a good start!
11/3:
Some of the other seedlings almost immediately started showing signs of N deficiency, but these two are fine.
I fed them a little bit today, and am foliar feeding them every few hours with Microlife Super Seaweed.
11/4:
They are the most vigorously growing seedlings in the garden.👍
11/7:
Growing very well now!
11/8:
Good looking little seedlings...very vigorous!
11/9:
Still spraying them with super seaweed every time i think about it. Will increase N a little starting tomorrow...just been waiting on the smallest plants to mature a little...
11/14:
I potted up the sickly looking MPP and moved it into the closet for now.
11/16:
I potted up the other MPP and moved it into the closet. She's the most impressive seedling I have, and makes the sick crew look pathetic.
11/18:
I moved all the flowering finishers into the dark and potted up all the MPP roommates today. They have a little elbow room now...at least for a little while...I still have three more plants to squeeze in with them...
11/20:
I fed them and sprayed them with BoomBoom Spray and Axiom today and let it soak in nice and slow under low light with no air circulation.
I adjusted the far reds and timers and tonight is their first ever nighttime...I'm exploiting the Emerson effect again this run...hopefully they transition with a switch from 24/0 to 14/10 quicker than they did from 18/6 to 14/10...
11/21:
Yowsa! Overnight growth explosion! Guess they needed a nap... 😏
11/24:
The shorter MPP is now the taller MPP. Both plants have great structure and very thick stalks.
Fed today and sprayed with microlife super seaweed.
11/25:
Had to raise the lights about 5 inches because of the taller plants, so both of these girls are on platforms now.
11/27:
I fed them today and raised the lights a few more inches.
11/28:
I sprayed them with Microlife Maximum Blooms today.
11/30:
I fed them today and supercropped the taller one a little bit. Just trying to encourage her lowers to compete for apical dominance.
I raised the lights another few inches
12/1:
I raised the lights about a foot because of a couple of taller plants, so these girls and most of the others are on a platform so as to be within 15 inches of the lights. Their platforms are some of the shortest, and I think they're about to catch up with the others.👍
12/2:
Busy with life...didn't do much.
Very cold days, so the high temp in the closet was 72f today👈
12/4:
Switched to 13/11....afraid of it taking too long to flower and ending up with a bunch of pain in the ass 5-footers..
12/8:
I fed them today. They are stretching like crazy....
12/10:
I sprayed with maximum blooms today..had to raise the lights again.
12/11:
Crazy growth...looking at about a 500% increase in height since flipping to flower 3 weeks ago.
I'll take photos when I feed again tomorrow.
12/15:
Some plants are taking too long to transition and stretching beyond my space constraints, so I dialed the photoperiod back to 12/12.
12/16:
Fed today and rotated edge plants. Added another 150w of 3000k below the canopy.
12/17:
Worked on ventilation...no A/C necessary now, as I'm using another AC Infinity 6" fan to intake outdoor air into the closet whenever temps reach 75f..and it's been cold as hell outside.👍
The final trick will be to replace the 6" exhaust fan with an 8" so as to be able to fully exchange the closet air faster ...but that's gonna have to wait til next season.
12/27 - 1/3:
Another very busy week with life, so minimal updates were done.
Both MPPs are doing very well. One is a bit more branchy than the other, but both are flowering quickly....fattening and frosting over just like I like...
Last fed on 1/3.
1/4:
Moved a few other plants out of the closet, now they've got a little elbow room.
Both MPP's are fattening and frosting up very nicely. They are so similar that they could be mistaken for clones. Very, very stable genetic.👍
1/7:
Fed today and gave them the sniff test...delightfully sweet minty aroma!
I added a dose of endoboost in their feed today...kinda worried about the monstrous size of my plants considering that they are only in 3 gallon pots..
1/11:
Fed today, but didn't have time for a photo session.
Both plants look great. Really fattening now.👍
1/15:
Was gonna feed today, but life got in the way...tomorrow it is...
1/16:
Fed today and took some photos.
Sexy bitches!😍
They are both about 2 weeks from finishing up, so I'll probably feed them with Cha ching next time, and then start flushing after they're dry again.
1/25 - 1/28:
I last fed on 1/28. I'll flush them when they are dry...and then nothing but water til harvest. Guessing about 10 and 14 days left to go on them. One of them is still swelling up, and the other is more ripe already.
2/1 - 2/4:
Flushed both MPP's on Monday and put the skinnier one in the dark Thursday night. Tomorrow is the end of the line for her. I'll probably let the big fat one go til next weekend.
Watered the fat girl Friday.
2/8:
The little one is hanging to dry now, and the bigger one is just getting water + liquid soil
2/12:
I put the fat one into the dark. The skinny one is almost dry...
2/13:
Harvested the fattie and washed her. She's hanging to dry now. The skinnier one is finally dry. I weighed and jarred her up, then I pressed about 6 grams of her larfy bud into some delicious sweet piney rosin. I actually dabbed her rosin before I even smoked her bud..a first! She weighed in at a meager 94g, but it's very dank and frosty bud. I'm sure the fattie will come close to being double that weight.
Wow, this is some sweet smelling minty/piney whoopass! Wow, what a great buzz this gives. It's a very "bright" high that won't put you on your ass at all. Very uplifting and long lasting.👍
They were very similar looking plants in early growth, but one of them stretched about 10 inches more than the other. It only weighed a few more grams despite the extra height. They require no special attention at all and produced fairly well, though I'd have liked a bigger yield. The buds are dense and smell amazing.
Plant A: 87g
Plant B: 94g
Final thoughts:
Potency: 8/10
Yield: 7/10
Aroma: 9/10
Flavor: 8/10
Bag-appeal: 8/10
Bud density: 8/10
Special thanks to Spliff Seeds for sponsoring this grow! These are some truly impressive genetics. Fat, frosty delicious buds that keep you high for hours! What more could you ask for!👈😁👍
I have 3 Spliff Seeds Mega Power Plants - they are sending me their Strawberry - will be a toss-up as to which one of them I grow. Your plants look awesome!
@MrJones, Thanks! They're coming along nicely.
Ya, I really wanted to grow the Strawberry...maybe next year.
These MPP's are very sturdy and vigorously growing. Hoping for those big, rock-hard buds I see others harvesting...
Thanks for the opportunity!🙌
I plan to grow at least one, maybe two of the Amnesiac seeds next Fall, but will grow a Lemon Cream Kush starting next week.👍
I've still got my eye on your Strawberry and Moonwalker Kush, too!😍
@SpliffSeeds,
It was my pleasure and privilege! These were very easy to grow and will be a treat to enjoy!😋
I'll be getting one of those Lemon Cream Kush wet later this week and growing it in my tiny tent in DWC.
Expect that diary soon!👍
